***Howard Stern*** (3 Viewers)

Caught a little bit of Monday's show. Who was the weatherman predicting the storm? He seemed to nail it.

I can't think of anyone who has an easier job than Robin. She probably makes 2mil a year and her workday consists of getting up at 6am and talking to Howard for 4hrs. Three "work" days a week and 8 weeks of vacation. She doesn't need to do any preparation, she probably works on selecting items from the AP wire while the show is going on.
Yep. She doesn't know how good she has it. She's a spoiled brat. Can't stand Robin, never could. If I had a nickel for every time she says: "I was just going to say that!"
:goodposting: So revolting. Or the abbreviated version: "Yeah, I was just gonna say....."

For 31 years, she was always JUST GONNA SAY THAT. But never actually did.
But when I don't think about this stuff I like her.If I really hated her all the time I probably couldn't even listen.

Jon Bolaris. He used to be a weatherman in Philly, and I think he does it up in New York now. Guys is (or at least used to be) quite a d-bag. I know quite a few girls who he tried picking up at the Jersey shore, and he was known as a big d-bag with everybody.

Think he was the guy who went on a bender and allegedely got taken for like 100k from a strip club. Then got canned from his weather gig.

Yup, same guy. Said he was roofied by 2 russian chicks.

Wait Robin hasn't returned to the studio after the procedure to remove the issue? Hadn't realized that. Can't be good.

Think I heard this morning that Robin was back in studio... was a vague reference early on.
Nope....heard her ripping paper and stern asked if it was her and she apologized :lmao: He asked her to turn her mic off when she's doing stuff like that and she said she doesn't have that control. If this was anyone else I'd have 4 hours of him going off but with her.....nothing, swept under the rug.

Yesterday morning a caller asked when Robin would get back in the studio and Howard quietly dropped his call while he and Robin laughed that she is on a sabbatical.

Could you imagine if Gary was somehow working from home and did the same thing? That's a 90 minute harangue at best.

I was listening to Riley last week and didn't think he'd finish the show. Knew Howard would be talking about it today, but I didn't hear much.

Do they know what he was on? Just drunk?

what time does the show come on? thinking of getting satelite radio
Sirius is totally worth the $150/yr if you like Howard and are also into listening to news and sports talk. I hardly listen to the music channels.
Especially considering there is no reason to pay $150. You can easily get it at 1/3 of that

Threaten to cancel? I bought a car with Sirius and activated it for a year at $150. The year is about up.

care to unwrap that a bit?
I've been doing it for years. Call and tell them you want to cancel. Make sure you get retentions on the phone, regular sales reps can't give you anything except boiler plate responses. Tell them you like the service and would like to continue to subscribe, but that at the current prices (I think 20+ all inclusive for all channels a month) it's just too much of a financial burden on you, and if there is anything they can offer you. I've been rocking all channels for $30/5 months. I then set an Outlook reminder to call before they bill me at full prices, rinse and repeat. They need the subscriber numbers, and will give you service at rock bottom pricing as long as you call.Hope that helps, SiriusXM rocks.

Same here. And when my car radio adapter died? They sent me a new one and a new antenna for free. And gave me 6 months free. Simply put, they cannot stand to lose subscribers. Pandora and that ilk are killing their hook. Stern and sports are all they have left to pimp out.

And if you're happy with new content only three days a week.Howard is going through the motions. Don't get Sirius just for him. He blows off the news, just seems to want to GTFO.

Agree...if you liked Artie, then his show with DiPaolo is good; esp. on DirecTV where you can see their "announcer".

The problem is.....Howard just going through the motions is light years better than anything else out there. I love the guy. He makes my mornings better, even if it's Howard at half speed.

I used to be a Howard guy, big time. Got tired of him not putting in any effort anymore. I listen to him occasionally now, but don't really enjoy it. I listen to a lot of opie and anthony now, and find it far funnier.

If you're not always on some sort of promo pricing for things like Sirius/XM, cable, internet, etc, you're throwing money away.

Be glad you werent listening today. Yet another Steve O interview..................

LMAO @ Medicated Pete's questions to the porn chicks: "White or black c-ck?"

And that Christmas song parody by Dice Clay Jr. might be the funniest thing I've ever heard.

Can't find it anywhere. :(

Why is George Takei on so much? I can't take much more of the male blow job and gay sex stories. Enough already. We get it, you're gay.

Love George. The detail on the gay stuff is cringe-worthy, but honestly I'm not into any of the sex stuff they do (porn stars, etc). Glad they don't do it as much as they used to.

Still love Howard. Been listening since '96 so I'm not a new listener. In some ways I prefer the show now. Listening to those old tapes the clapping after everyone says something was horrible. I'm into the whack pack, the news, Howard's take on stuff, song parodies, etc... still enjoy it a lot.

I think it's funny for the most part but it gets creepy when George talks of "young" guys. Can sense Howard getting worried that George is going to start talking about a 16-year-old or something.

My bill came for renewal, $225 (XM all sirius stuff plus internet) . I just came off a 110 special.I called to cancel - some rube answers and asked well how about you pick a lesser optionme: nohim: so you would be interested in 2 months free?me: With my same package? him: no the basic package, you will have to pay for the best of stuff and interentme: no thankshim: so 5 months at $25 you wouldn't be interested in?me: For my same plan? him: No the basic plan the other stuff is extrame: No thanks. Cancelled.Last year I went through this and had the same problems but the woman gave me everything for 110. So today I am without XM/Sirius - honestly wasn't using it all that much.Still annoyed that even though it's all the same it's still "different" based on radio. Just dumb

Have not listened this week, but somewhat surprised by some of the Takei hate. I think that he is hilarious and the sex stories are funny because he has so much zeal for it. It's funny to think about him in the brambles fishing around for sex.

I do get that a lot of people don't want to hear about gay sex and actually I do agree with the poster above that overall, less sex talk, from men or women, is good. The one good thing about the 3-day week is that they've cut out some of the extraneous stuff that could get tedious. Some of those 5-hour shows from the first year would go on and on with bull#### talk.

Also, kind of old now, but I still cannot believe that John Lieberman thinks that he can rap when he had the line "eat you like a kit kat, woo-hoo!"
