***Howard Stern*** (4 Viewers)

It's crazy to me that it's November and there is no news on what he's going to do.

Personally, I hope he goes the podcast route. That way he can control his own schedule more than he already does (ie, no 6 am shifts, which I think is killing him) and he can develop a series of shows around Baba Booey, Sal and Richard, etc. Basically, I just hope to be able to download his show off of itunes for a buck an episode or something. Even if he stays with Sirius, I hope his new contract has that available somehow.

No matter what, I'd be shocked if he retires. He's an attention whore. Not happening.

I'll be honest here. If he goes to anything other then Satellite or regular radio, I am done with him. I've been listening since WNBC days, delivering pizza while in college with his afternoon show on in my car. I am tired of the 5 year negotiating ploys, I am growing tired of "psychiatrist howie" interviews, I am tired of having no man presence on the show to offset all the DWTS and other reality shows he talks about endlessly.I have to contact Sirius and turn off my auto renew on my annual subscription, so if he goes, the Sat radio will go dark too. There isn't enough other content to justify paying for it, IMO.

He has said he will continue working, just not where that will be come January.

Oh, I haven't heard that. Haven't listened for the past month. Guess the staff was happy about that? It almost has to be internet/podcasts. No way is Sirius going to pony up enough for him again.

How can Sirius afford not to?

I guess, but it is difficult to know what the scale of the new operation will be, so you'd imagine that the money/hours might not be enough for everyone to be satisfied.

I bought a new truck a few weeks ago and it came with XM instead of Sirius. I've missed being able to listen to the show, but can do without.

You should check out Ron and Fez on 202. Ron Bennington is the funniest man of any type of radio.

I have listened to them and while sometimes funny, the show is no replacement for Howard.

Maybe 15-20 years ago, but he's been mailing it in for most of his tenure with Sirius.

You can get best of for an extra $5 a month, and I'm sure you can negotiate with them, I ended up getting 3 months free.

yeah I got a year for half price with Sirius last time. When the free trial is up, I'll start wheelin' and dealin'

I'm saying though right now you can add best of to your free trial for $5 a month.

I could not stop laughing yesterday when they were making fun of Garys list on his audiobook of Songs that are great on a jukebox.

They just kept going. I even laughed a few times at Robin and I don't usually laugh at anything she says.

"This is when the Beatles went from being a pop band to the band we all know and remember them from."

I started a thread on SFN yesterday morning and it exploded....close to 1,500 posts and 60 pages of great fun in a day and a half.

So is there any proof Robin actually finished the race?

I'll save you some time and if you check out Robin's twitter page (@rqui) she's getting just raked over the coals.

Summary: There is no actual proof that Robin actually finished the NY Marathon as she claims to have done...
That's pretty funny. I was just reading that this morning while I was listening to the show.

I hope she gets busted What a joke

As one of the core members of the FFA running thread who just ran my first marathon 10 days ago, it seems pretty clear to me that Robin didn't really finish the race. But the proof will be in the finisher photos - if there isn't a photo of her crossing the finish line, then she didn't do it. Knowing her personality, if she had really finished the race she would never shut up about it. For her to be so low-key and humble is so out of character that to me it's a good indicator she's covering up.

Bad news.

Brightroom has begun to post photos. By swapping in bib numbers into the photo URL, I was able to find the photo pages for Robin and her trainer. Looks like she finished and that he was next to her every step of the way.

I would post this at Stern Fan Network, but I'm not a member and they're taking forever to get my account activated.

Great thread while it lasted. Going to be pretty funny to watch the air go out of it now

Like a lead balloon.

Gary's "lists" have been a wonderful source of entertainment.

I could listen to Howard's Booey voice for hours on end.

You must watch Bababooey on Kimmel. Kimmel makes him throw a pitch 3 times. First one is wide right, second bounces wildly and last one is wide right again. ####### awesome job by kimmel.

Wow--he really can't throw. His motion is terrible and he just needs to own up to the fact that he throws like a girl and let it go. He is lucky X 1000 that Artie is not on the show anymore or he would get ten times the abuse.

I called in yesterday and turned off my Sirius auto renewal that happens around Xmas annually. Here is to hoping that I can subscribe again next year.

Howard didn't know that there's no porn on YouTube? Jesus.
Well, in his defense Howard gets and has access to more legal dvds and websites via password access given to him by the companies then possibly anyone else on the planet. Having said that, taking your iPad into the can to have some special time with yourself via youtube is pretty funny.

Well after the Jay Z interview (which was awesome) someone called and he said he will definitely be working and that he is not interested in time off.

He also said that the easiest place to do that was at Sirius which makes me think they might be getting closer to a deal then I originally anticipated

There's little doubt in my mind that Sirius is his preference. He wouldn't be doing all that passive aggressive countdown stuff if he really wanted to go somewhere else.

Surprised no talk about the show yesterday. I am not the biggest Billy Joel fan but I thought that was amazing. He is extremely talented.

Was only able to listen to some of it. Was good thoughAll I could think about was the interview a few weeks back on NBC. I didnt know if that was really Billy Joel or not but this interview went a lot smoother
