Say you had a huge stack of like 80,000 right now. Would you even play another hand or would you just sit back and let everyone eliminate themselves?

I would sit out and watch a movie with the computer sitting on a desk, but out of reach, so I wouldn't be tempted to play.

I would raise 3-4x very often, stealing blinds constantly, unless it stopped working.
 
I was actually hoping he would bet and then I'd raise. I figured that if he didn't raise preflop, there was no way he had an ace.

Probably not play a hand, although you could make an argument for calling the all-ins of tiny stacks just to get them out.

Why risk it? I would let them eliminate themselves.
 
I think you'll need at least 35,000 chips to finish in the top 33. That means if you had 80K and folded every hand, you'd have to hope it's over in 8 orbits or less or you could be in trouble.

I wouldn't call their all ins without a hand unless someone else looked likely to and we could team kill them. I would raise into unopened pots though, because you're going to win the blinds a ridiculous amount of the time.

It means there's 40 people left, so every table starts every hand at the same time, and the next hand doesnt get dealt until all tables are done. This keeps people from stalling, but also makes sure people know who is 40th and who is 39th. Which is important, because 40th gets nothing, while 39th gets 200 something and 38th gets 650.
