1- Marshall Faulk- I think the Rams improved O-line gives him one more season at #1.2- Clinton Portis- His upside lands him at #23- LaDainian Tominson- Consistency lands him at #34- Ricky Williams- Tough to put him this low.5- Priest Holmes- Wouldn't draft him this high now.6- Shaun Alexander- Should have a huge year.7- Deuce McAllister- Last of the top tier RBs I think8- Edgerrin James- Due to rebound.9- Travis Henry- May have hit his ceiling last year.10-Ahman Green- Tough to put him this low.11-Fred Taylor- Putting Freddy T at 11 shows the depth at RB this year.12-Jamal Lewis- Redman keeps him out of top 1013-Corey Dillon- Cincy is improved but wouldn't want him as #1 RB14-Curtis Martin- Has one more year in the tank.15-Tiki Barber- Can he duplicate last season? Not sure.16-William Green- Improved line in Cleve should mean nice season.17-Michael Bennett- Good RB, but few scores.18-Stephen Davis- Should get 300 touches in Carolina19-Charlie Garner- Not a huge gamble here, can he have one more big year?20-Eddie George- Should lead TEN offense21-Kevan Barlow- Should get majority of carries in SF22-Artose Pinner- If he is the man in DET could be nice late pick-up23-Trung Canidate- Will there be a feature RB in Wash?24-Duce Staley- Tough call in Philly, 3 decent RBs25-Amos Zereoue- Tough call between Bettis & him. He seems to fit the O better than the Bus.26-Troy Hambrick- Someone in Dallas will post good stats, will it be him?27-Antowain Smith- Can't see him being very productive.28-Stacey Mack- Should be the man in Hou, but what is that worth?29-Anthony Thomas- Worth a shot here.30-Michael Pittman- Super Bowl performance only thing getting him in here.

I know 30 is a nice round number, but how about making it 32, so that we get the starting RB from all 32 NFL teams?Just a thought.

I know 30 is a nice round number, but how about making it 32, so that we get the starting RB from all 32 NFL teams?Just a thought.
because you wouldn't necessarily have each starting rb in the top 32.

Gotcha, At what point do you take the #1 RB on a lousy team over a team's #2 or a RB currently in RBBC? I think Barlow is probably a top 10 back if there is no Hearst, but until that becomes clear someone like George, Martin or Staley, to name a few have more value I guess. Thanks, Sandbagger.

it depends. the worst rb on a team under my projections is #35, so my answer to your question would be 3:Barlow

Alstott

Shipp

Every RB after #35 is a backup under my current projections.

1- LaDainian Tominson SD (My gut says another big year, and David Boston doesn't hurt him being in SD)2- Ricky Williams MIA (Can this guy top 200 yds again? Might very well!)3- Marshall Faulk STL (The Rams improved O-line, could be his last go round)4- Deuce McAllister NO (Is one of the top teir RB's!!)5- Clinton Portis DEN (Was a work horse and will be again)6- Priest Holmes KC (Injury, contract, holdout, Larry Johnson?)7- Shaun Alexander SEA (Will have a huge year with much improved Seahawks)8- Travis Henry BUF (How much will McGahee selection affect him?)9- Ahman Green GB (Still going strong)10- Jamal Lewis BAL (All begins and ends with the starting QB)11- Edgerrin James IND (Due to rebound? Or maybe not)12-Stephen Davis CAR (Should get 300 touches can you say WORKHORSE)13-Tiki Barber NYG (Can he duplicate last season? Not sure)14-Fred Taylor JAC (No way he stays healthy)15-William Green CLE (Should have better year no that he is starter, but for how long?)16-Corey Dillon CIN (This guy needs a new team already!)17-Curtis Martin NYJ (Might be his last go round, L.Jordan will take away carries)18-Eddie George TEN (now a #2 FF RB? Who would have thought?)19-Kevan Barlow/ Garrison Hearst SF (If Hearst is cut Barlow makes my top 10)20-Duce Staley PHI (I would love to rank him higher but 2 soild RB's in waiting)21-Michael Bennett MIN (Just not sold on him yet and O.Smith doesn't make it any better)22-Charlie Garner OAK (Old reliable, he'll get 900 yds in recieving and rushing!)23-Antowann Womack NE (Yup he will take Atwain Smith's job and never look back)24-Amos Zereoue/Jerome Bettis PIT (Either way job gets done but Zereoue would thrive in sole starting role)25-Troy Hambrick DAL ( SO much for my Cowboys drafting a RB? Troy will get the job done, barley)26-Anthony Thomas CHI (Was he a one shot wonder? or was it the non-solider field thing)27-Emmitt Smith ARZ (Has something to prove, just a shame he has to do it with ARZ)28-Stacey Mack HOU (needs to prove he just isn't a TD Vulture and that he can shoulder the load)29-Michael Pittman TB (If not for the Super Bowl performance, he would not be on this list)30-James Stewart/Artose Pinner DET (Pinner wins job, grab him late STEAL!!!)30-Trung Canidate/ WAS RBBC (Betts, Watson, Trung, Spurier can't decide)

Things never go as expected, so I tried to include some fairly bold picks. I just realized that I have two #11s, but I'm too lazy to change that. Deal with it.1. LaDainian Tomlinson2. Ricky Williams3. Deuce McAllister 4. Clinton Portis (new wealth of Denver RBs is a minor concern)5. Marshall Faulk6. Fred Taylor (Ranking based on upside. He is a complete back and with Mack gone he will be that much better. Two concerns: aging JAX offense, history of injuries)7. Priest Holmes (I think he's seriously hurt. He's obviously a top 2 or 3 guy if healthy)8. Shaun Alexander (Would like to see more carries, consistency)9. Tiki Barber 10. Travis Henry (Should be inspired)11. Ahman Green11. Edgerrin James (I don't think I'll pick him this year, despite his upside. If he returns full speed ala Lewis then watch out)12. Stephen Davis (Below average receiving ability lowers his ceiling)13. Jamal Lewis14. Curtis Martin (An absolute warrior of a player and a guy you have to root for. He's healthy now and will be a good value pick. Backs his size are durable and he's not THAT old so age doesn't worry me. My only concern is that Jordan might vulture his TDs)15. William Green (I'm not sold)16. Kevan Barlow (Higher if Hearst is cut, lower if not)17. Michael Bennett (Moe + Onterrio + Foot injury + Shaky 2001 drop him in my eyes)18. Charlie Garner 19. Amos Zereoue20. Eddie George (Stick a fork in him, he's done)21. Larry Johnson (If Priest is down then he'll get a ton of chances)22. Antowain Smith (Could be a decent pick since he's in everybody's doghouse)23. Trung Canidate (Big risk, but has huge upside. I'm not ballsy enough to rate him high, but I will go as far as saying he has top 10 potential. Still, I think Spurrier or Trung himself will find a way to make sure he's a bust)24. Garrison Hearst (Underrated here. He could be very solid if he is cut and the right team nabs him)25. Chris Brown (See: Eddie George)26. Duce Staley (Westbrook, Buckhalter, weak running ability block his road to fantasy success)27. Onterrio Smith (I have a hunch he'll find his way onto the field and will excel)28. Adrian Peterson (Could start and thrive in CHI. Worth picking late.)29. Anthony Thomas (Fluke?)30. Artose Pinner (More upside than most other backs in the 12th round of re-drafts, which is when he's likely to be available. Let's hope he doesn't pull a J. Wells)Honorable mention:Jamel White - I like his skills. If DAL, HOU, or DET gets him then he's a solid sleeper.

Seriously, some people might be too stupid to vote. Seriously I've seen lists with Michael Bennett ranked ahead of Priest Holmes, lists without Holmes at all. These people show again and again why they obviously have losing teams. These will be the same morons who end up drafting Larry Johnson in the 4th round and then can't understand what happens when their team goes 2-11.
