To respond to Bri's questions:

almost went another direction, but Bloom has two picks after this....

Dwayne Bowe, LSU
who is he?Ya know I don't follow college and I haven't memorized names yet.
renesauz or the biggest Baskett supporter Jeff,

I thought he went a round or two too early esp after seeing who went after him. Care to comment?
Dwayne Bowe is the big WR that just lit it up at the Senior Bowl. Bloom was glowing about him, and so were the rest of the scouts (and Lammey). As for Baskett - if Stallworth is gone, Baskett could easily be the #2 in Philly, a nice situation for a McNabb / Eagles WR. It doesn't come without risk, and I would have considered him a few rounds later.

LHUCKS took him in Round 10, FWIW. I like him, but it does feel a little early.

I'm glad I'm associated with "discovering" him. :useless:

Gotta go in a few and I don't know when I will be back online. PMing a short list to renesauz and Jeter23 (next 2 after me) in case Aaron and Jeff pick before I get back.

I'll take

QB Jeff Garcia

QB: Carson Palmer, Chris Simms, Jeff Garcia

RB: Larry Johnson, Marshawn Lynch, Leon Washington

WR: Marques Colston, Deion Branch, Isaac Bruce, Santonio Holmes

TE: Todd Heap

Was really considering Garcia here, but I thought it was too early considering we don't know if he is going somewhere else. Obviously, I was hoping he'd be around next round.
there's not much else out there, and I figure there's a decent chance he winds up in Tampa to compete with Chris Simms. I could also see him possibly starting in Minnesota or Green Bay.

I'm about to shut down for the day; left a quick list with FM in case he's on or Duke has my number to call...

A few comments....

Almost went with Reggie Williams, but his upside isn't what Bowe's is.

As for Eric Parker - he had the same number of TDs that I had last year. I can be draft much later.

Let me have Michael Clayton.

Maybe this is the year he finally lives up to his early hype. If not, this is the right area for him anyway.

Will PM next

hmmmm
Seriously was about to pick him - had it all typed up - 52 catches, 92 targets, 4 TDs, leading receiver in Jacksonville.....then I thought about upside risk from the 5th WR. Then I thought about rookies. Then Bowe. The clincher? I saw a mock where Bowe went to Jacksonville in the first round.

:lmao: You're my sleeper pick this year. I also see you're going the LHUCKS survivor route here....load up on WRs.
:hey:  Keep in mind, I'm a UFA though.... ;)

Marcedes Lewis
Good pick. Thought about him as well.
Published Fri Jan 26 3:21:00 p.m. ET 2007(Rotoworld) The Jaguars have added "tight ends coach" to assistant head coach Mike Tice's responsibilities with the offense.Impact: Tice's increased duties and Dirk Koetter's addition to the staff should help Marcedes Lewis's progression. Koetter coached Todd Heap at the beginning of his stint at Arizona State and Zach Miller the last three years.

I'm a bit of a Philly homer like Jeff...and have kind of followed his progress since they traded him from Minn. The Philly offense is complicated and very difficult on rookies...generally, it takes a good 3-4 years for a reciever to fully get it in that system. For an undrafted rookie to do what he did last year, he has some real skills. If they bring someone in as a WR2 (unlikely), his downside is no worse then WR60-70. If he keeps the #2 slot, he has a downside no worse then about WR50...not far from where I drafted him. If he continues to progress the way he has, he has a potential upside in the low 30's.Considering that most of the receivers drafted around him have far more limited upside, or much greater downside, I felt that was the right spot to take him. Also note...AR is very high on this kid, and the whole organization seems to love him. Considering that Philly has much greater needs on the defensive side of the ball, and another young reciever in the fold who's ready to be a WR3 (maybe 2 in a pinch), it seems highly unlikely Philly will bring in any strong challengers to his position.

Had him on my radar, but was hoping to take him in the 12th or 13th

Daniel Graham

UFA I hope the Pats don't lose but he's already said he wants to start and be a receiving TE. Personally, I'd rather they trade Watson and re-sign him.

I think he's a very underrated player. I wanted to wait "homer pick" and all but seems like all decent starters are gone and now the TEBC guys are left so I figure this is a fair spot to grab him.

12.4 ERIC JOHNSON, TE, FA

With Vernon Davis in town, I'd think Eric is on his way out in SF. If he lands with the right team, he could be a top 10 TE.
