Do you concur with the positive reviews of Aria's sports book?
It's good.  We don't spend much time there, or in any of the books anymore, because there is always a large group of us.  Getting that kind of space in a sports book, especially for an entire day of football, seems next to impossible.  With the availability of the gaming apps, we've started going to bars where we can all sit together and watch the games, placing bets on the MGM app instead.  No need to save seats, get up at the ### crack of dawn, or fight the long betting lines at peak times.

What is the best sportsbook to purchase a table/row of chairs and watch all of the opening Sunday games in the NFL?   would like to keep it under 200 per seat.
Westgate Superbook.  We booked a 7 person booth for $500 ($650 ish after tax and fees).  That $500 all went to food/drink credit though...it was a great deal.  They have bigger spots as well.

how long does the sign up for the apps take in person when you go deposit the money

I did Mirage last year (we were staying there, but set up at Venetian for Sunday).  Had to get the player's card, then go to book to set up app.  Maybe 15 minutes total?  And then 5 minutes to cash out when we left Monday am.

If you do the MGM app, go to any MGM sports book when it's not busy.  They usually have one person designated for this, so if you get there when there's much of a line, it can take a while.  I set mine up at the Aria book on a Thursday afternoon just after arriving, and it took no time at all.  10 minutes, maybe.  iirc, you can set it up so that you have to return to the book to add cash or cash out OR you can hook it up to a debit/credit card for easy transfers.  The latter seemed dangerous, given I'm sober for about 5 minutes any given weekend in Vegas.  Once set up you can place wagers from anywhere in the state of Nevada.

I left mine on there so I could throw a little something on the Monday night games from the airport while waiting for my flight out.  Now I have seed money for this year.

I'm coming June 13th through indefinitely. Are you around then? Playing the World Series if the smaller events go decently.
I'm here until the 9th.   Then coming back for 3 days on 22nd for wife's bday and playing 1100 plo8. PM me if you want to get a beer.

The big 50 is on final opening day 4 today.  Sold out everyday like 6200 each day.

The Rio is crushed.  They cancelled all four daily deepstacks each day.  I'm in a line of 300 now at Venetian to sign up for 800. Plo8.  So crazy.

Anyone have suggestions for an EDM club for a bachorlette party?

It won't be until October.

How far in advance do you need to reserve a table/booth?

How far in advance do they announce if a well known artist will be playing that night?

When in October? Will you be attending?

How many guys? lagasse’s Stadium would be awesome if you could reserved a row of stadium seating.

Just my opinion, but I don't think Lagasse's is that great.

You have to guarantee to spend a ####load of money to hold a seat. The drinks are way overpriced and the food is just okay.
On weekends like opening of NFL, there is a $500 minimum per head.  But you can eat and drink like a champ.  Food is good.

Early October is ideal Pool time - I'd look into a pool EDM show

Secret Pizza in The Cosmopolitan....anyone try it?

They got really good reviews on Google.
We usually eat there once or twice per trip. I think it's in the top 5 of pizza's I've had. (but, I live in middle America, where we don't have a lot of good pizza). Most of their pies are thin crust, but they make an occasional Sicilian style that's thicker (Chicago style).

We also like pin up pizza across the street at Planet Hollywood. Wife loves the margarita pizza there. The slices are twice the size of Secret Pizza. And the girls behind the counter are much nicer to look at.

Trying to figure out dinner tonight, and my wife and I cant make a decision. Looking for a hail mary from you guys. Any must dos?

Headed back to Vegas next week.  3 couples in their 40s this time so not my usual full-on degen trip.  I have a few questions.

We get in Sunday afternoon and we're staying at the Wynn.  Other two couples get in on Monday and then we'll be staying at the Linq Mon-Wed night.

I'm not as familiar with the area up by the Wynn, I've usually been a mid to bottom strip guy.  What's good to do up there for casual drinks etc.  I know Peppermill is in the area, is it walkable from the Wynn?  Is it better for evening dinner/drinks or for morning breakfast?  Any other decent bars?

The group wants to do a show, Absinthe and Opium seem to be the choices we're voting on.  I've heard great things about both, anyone here been to both and have a preference?  Otherwise I'll probably tell the group I'm good with whatever is chosen.  I think we'll do Fremont one of the nights.  Trying to hit the Golden Steer if I can talk them into it, otherwise probably Craft, Cut or SW.  Yardbird is definitely on my radar.  Is Mon Ami Gabi still a must stop if I'm not gonna sit outside for the view?  I'm not sitting in 100 degree heat lol.

Mostly I'm looking for recommendations for my first night up at the Wynn

TIA!

Peppermill's a bit over a mile walk from the Wynn, and it's really cool.

Another place that's super casual we have liked is Rockhouse at the Palazzo.  Usually have live music at night and it's a very fun atmosphere.

Mon Ami is just ok if you're not sitting outside imo.  If you haven't been to Yardbird it's a must.

Thanks, how is it north of the Wynn these days at night, is that mile to Peppermill an ok walk?

Big fan of Yardbird.

Honestly, I've always been with my buddies and we'll go anywhere.  Not sure I'd walk it with my wife, but she's pretty sensitive.  We'd probably Uber.

I have been to Absinthe. I can't compare to Opium, but Absinthe was a great show.

I have been to both and both are awesome. I think Absinthe is the best choice if the group hasn't seen either show.

Going to vEgas for my 10 year anniversary (nomarriage.com - I know)  over labor day weekend.. i haven't been over a holiday weekend in years so I"m a little nervous about how packed everything is going to be.. help me out with a basic itinerary.

Arriving at 1 PM Friday,  leaving 9 am Monday - staying at the Delano at Mandalay Bay

Sunday evening is already booked - KA show at MGM and dinner before at the Japanese place.

Friday - wife wants to goto Vanderpump cocktails at Caesars  - what type of time frame do you think i'll be waiting in line for and stay at if i make it there by like 5 or 6 pm?

Saturday - wife kind of wants to goto one of those pool edm parties at either Mandalay or goto the Palms to see Marshmellow..  any advice on how to book and negotiate this so its not miserable?  do i need to pony up for a day bed or something?   I've never been to one of these things....  so I don't even know how it works at all.

I'm already assuming cab lines and everything will take longer than it should.... and I probably need more dinner reservations... anyway... all advice and jeers welcome

Will be there same weekend GB for FF draft.  Would love to meet the great Dentist.

Here's a good list of pool/club shows and links to get tickets that weekend.  Regular tickets to get in arent that bad.  But daybeds and cabanas are expeeeeeensive.

Not on that list yet but Chainsmokers are at Encore Beach Club (Wynn) that same Saturday.

I was there late March on a weeknight around 6pm. There was a 75 foot line full of middle-aged women waiting to get in. To a cocktail bar. smh

Is Opium good? Reviews were meh so I avoided. Loved Absinthe.
Opium was awesome. They kind of double-down on the weird though so for a first-timer, Absinthe is the better choice. If there is anything in the humor at Absinthe that offends a person, there is 5x that at Opium.  My understanding though is they've re-tooled Opium just a bit though so I haven't seen the latest version of it. I do recommend the show though - I loved it.

Looks like Marshmello is already sold out for that Saturday.  https://kaosday.uvtix.com/event/uv49061143dt190831/marshmello/

But yeah, I think it's wise to get tickets/table ahead of time.

Speaking of clubs in Vegas, what is the dress code for men?

I'm reading conflicting reports on jeans.  Some sites say you're okay with nice dark jeans, dress shoes, and a button up collared shirt.  Some sites say no jeans.

Anyone been to the "oohn oohn oohn oohn" dance type of clubs lately?

Unless it changed in the last 2 years (smh kids), what you described is right.  Collared shirt, jeans, real shoes.

Which hotels have the nicest pools?

Not so much for the club scene or checking out the ladies, but more for lounging around and dipping in the pool.

From the photos online, Flamingo's pool looks nice.
