No suggestions are going to outsmart your internal clock. I get up early on the weekends even though I dont need to....kind of the same thing. For those travelling from east to west, what do you do when you wake up super early in vegas? no matter how late I stay up or how much I drink, I find myself always waking up at 5-6am Vegas time and look for things to do to kill time then. I typically end the night with some sort of meal, so I'm never overly hungry. I usually just stroll downtown with a coffee and people watch....but that gets old. It looks like even the earliest spas don't open until 10am...b/c that would be perfect.

I wake up at 5 am during the work week and by 6 am on the weekends. When I go to vegas I try to not get hammered on the plane or early after arrival. Try to hang as long as possible the first. Then sleep as long as you can the first day. I gain 15-20 minutes each day regardless, but sometimes it starts with me waking up at 4 am local time. I generally play some video poker at the bar (I know a few of the bartenders at The D and at Paris) until my wife or whoever else is in the group is ready for breakfast. For those travelling from east to west, what do you do when you wake up super early in vegas? no matter how late I stay up or how much I drink, I find myself always waking up at 5-6am Vegas time and look for things to do to kill time then. Bet big on Washington against Minnesota on Thursday night! AP revenge game?!?!?!?Gonna be quite a few of us in Vegas that same weekend of 25-28th. Hopefully we all sprinkle some FBG gambling magic and walk away RICH! (or richer anyway)
ETA: Doesn't get much better for a sports bettor that weekend: World Series games 3,4,5; NFL; College Football; NHL; and early NBA. Gonna be a blast.
We land Thursday afternoon about 3:45. So glad I don't have any need to rush to the book to get a bet down on THAT piece of crap game.Bet big on Washington against Minnesota on Thursday night! AP revenge game?!?!?!?
Will you have a rental car? If so--hiking at Red Rock is a beautiful thing to do. If you don't have a car--you can walk down Fremont Street past zip line loading area and down past the El Cortez hotel and go to the Container Park. They have a cool little coffee shop there. Literally every time I go to the Container Park I end up meeting really cool people. If you are staying in downtown and aren't planning on spending too much time on the strip--I would recommend taking an Uber or taxi to the strip in the morning--and just walking. Most of the big hotels change their decorations based on the seasons/holidays--and many of them go out of their way to make things look beautiful (the indoor gardens at the bellagio and the Wynn), the Palazzo does a beautiful job in their area where they have the gondola display. Not only is walking the strip when there aren't many people around beautiful, calm, and refreshing--but it also gives you an opportunity to "scout" places and restaurants that you might want to try out.Tiger Fan said:For those travelling from east to west, what do you do when you wake up super early in vegas? no matter how late I stay up or how much I drink, I find myself always waking up at 5-6am Vegas time and look for things to do to kill time then. This reminded me of the pancake restaurant we ate at on Lake mead. Like literally floating on lake mead. That was a great morning. Feeding the carp was wild. They are like begging dogs. They have a cool little coffee shop there.
The people that responded to this are the ones I want to hang out with in Vegas.I didn't know they closed the blackjack tables and stop serving alcohol in Vegas.
Find a poker table with a bunch of drunk guys from the prior night. Can you elaborate on the deal? I generally just book Expedia packages and Cosmo is always so darn expensive.I'm here for work right now, leaving in a few hours. But will be headed back for fun in about a month. What's the stuff the cool kids are doing in Vegas these days outside gambling? Starting at the Cosmopolitan. Great deal from Costco.
That was the city room package right? If so, try to upgrade to a fountain view when checking in.I'm here for work right now, leaving in a few hours. But will be headed back for fun in about a month. The deal essentially was flights for 2 and a room for 5 nights for about $1900 net. If I had booked them separately on my own (direct with each vendor) it would have been close to $2500. Flights would cost about $1000 if I booked direct. Can you elaborate on the deal? I generally just book Expedia packages and Cosmo is always so darn expensive.
Aa far as other stuff to do- golf, neon museum, downtown, high roller wheel, nice restaurant or a show, bottle service, spa, pool....pretty much anything....love the Chandalier Bar at Cosmo
We got the Terrace Studio on the Wine and Dine promotion. Not sure about the room location, but I'm lifetime Platinum with Marriott so I'm hoping that will get me some kind of room upgrade. If not, I'll try the $20 bill sandwich method when checking in.That was the city room package right? If so, try to upgrade to a fountain view when checking in.
There's so much to do in Vegas that it's hard to give recommendations without knowing interests or what you've already done. That being said, the neon museum, downtown, strip club and top golf are always fun. Pinball hall of fame if you're into that.
Staying at Vdara for the third time a week from next Thursday. I think their spa is fantastic. I’ve heard good things about Aria too.Going to be out 20-24. The above conversation does have me curious what spas on the Strip to exploit/avoid. I have heard Aria is really nice, but will be staying at MGM Grand most of the trip.

been researching some VP for my upcoming trip to kill dead time...this site seems to be pretty up to date - https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/best-video-poker/The video poker at Chandelier Bar is quite dismal. Having said that, I can't wait to drop $100 there, possibly with GB Osaurus.
If you have a decent bankroll Ultimate X single play is the ish. Triple play is ok but not as cool. Be prepared to lose a bunch quickly, but if/when you win you will win a BUNCH.been researching some VP for my upcoming trip to kill dead time...this site seems to be pretty up to date - https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/best-video-poker/
Basically my plan is - look for the 100%+EV machines, with progressives if possible. Looks like it's typically Double Bonus or DDB. Play optimal. Profit
Any other tips?
If slot-club points matter to you, know that the Plaza doesn't award any on its +EV machines. Downtown Grand removed them (from ALL machines) also, but brought them back at a token rate after complaints. The three Boyd properties (Fremont, California, and Main Street Station) degraded their systems for VP players in January.been researching some VP for my upcoming trip to kill dead time...this site seems to be pretty up to date - https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/best-video-poker/

Aria has a great spa. We have stayed at Aria every time we have went to Vegas since that hotel opened. However we have stayed and used the MGM Grand spa and it is good as well. I like to simply use the spa at the resort I am staying in. Last thing I want to do after a relaxing several hours at a spa is have to leave and drive back to my hotel.Going to be out 20-24. Back in 2017, through Costco, we booked 4 nights in a Wraparound Terrace Suite and round trip, non stop flights out of Charlotte for $1800. This also included 2 Wicked Spoon buffets. This wasn't for a fountain view room but they offered $55/night more for that. I declined that but a $20 tip got us a room that had a great view of the fountains on one side of the balcony. To top it all off we got 2% back through our rewards check for being an executive member. Costco will definitely be the 1st place I look next time I plan a Vegas trip. Can you elaborate on the deal? There are some cool video poker apps to play with fake money when you're sitting on a plane. What's cool about them is they help train you and tell what you should have held for optimal play. I think the one I have is "Jacks or Better - Video Poker".been researching some VP for my upcoming trip to kill dead time...this site seems to be pretty up to date - https://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/best-video-poker/

Thanks. Honestly Don’t even know what slot club is. I just want to be able to play some good machines when I wake up in the morning. I assume I’ll plug the players card in to the machine and see what happens. Slot club, player's card, same thing. It's how they track your play to determine how much of your butt to kiss.Thanks. Honestly Don’t even know what slot club is. I am Titanium Elite with Marriott and got upgraded to a wrap-around suite with the Bellagio fountain view for free. They have a special check-in line for Marriott members, so be sure to go in there. If I remember right, it's actually a little room sort of thing to the left of the check-in desk. One thing about the fountain view rooms - they are really awesome with great balconies, but we would probably get a lower room next time. I think we were on the 45th floor or something, and we couldn't hear the fountains or music. I would guess the 20th floor or so would be really great (the high floor was great too, but it's just something we will do differently next time). We got the Terrace Studio on the Wine and Dine promotion. Any suggestions on where to watch an Eagles game out there? If possible, close to the Cosmo. They are the late game that Sunday, so would be a good lunch/brunch timing.
Anyone with feedback on the Miss Behave Gameshow?

If you visit a dispensary and bring your spoils back to your hotel, make sure that the dispensary bag your items are in is not visible to security as you walk in. They can and will confiscate your goodies. The product is 100% legal here but it's also 100% legal for the hotels to not allow it on their property.Gonna be in vegas this weekend.
Looking to visit a dispensary or have some delivered to me somehow. They wont deliver to your room right? Staying at Caesars. Can someone give me some info? Also what's the best place to go?
Blackjack dispensary that is located on the strip just north of the Stratosphere is good. I've only visited them--I've never inquired about if they deliver so I cannot comment on that. You'll want to uber or take a cab there as it'd be a heck of a walk. The other thing you can do is to walk across the street to Harrah's or Flamingo as both have monorail stations. You could take the monorail to the Sahara (formerly known as the SLS) and walk from the Sahara. It's still probably a 10-15 minute walk from there--but if you plan on getting a one or two day monorail pass anyway--it'd save you some time and some money.Gonna be in vegas this weekend.

Just ask the cabby to take you to the closest/best one nearby. They'll know where to go. There's one just across the freeway on Flamingo headed towards the Rio. Probably the closest to Caesars. Agree with the guy who said to hide it from security. Get gummies if you're gonna use it inside Caesars.Gonna be in vegas this weekend.
