Check out the “League Fact” sheet at the bottom of the home page. This will give you plenty of details on the league.

WHAT:

“The Corporation” was started prior to the 2004 Season. We are an intermediate league looking for some Sharks who want to take on the challenge of building up a Dynasty Team from the ground up. The league is steadily heading towards dynasty (we have 43 roster spots and currently can keep up to 26 this year and 30-31 after the 2008 season).

The age bracket of our league is between 25 and 39 but we welcome fantasy players of all ages. Ten of our players live in California, two live in Michigan, one is from Chicago and one is from Australia. Our Owners have between three to eight years of fantasy football experience. 2005 was the first year we used IDP’s.

WHO:

The person looking to join this league would be someone who will continue to compete even if his team were (1-9). Since this is a long term league, a new Owner will realize that it may take more than 1 year to build a championship team. The new owner would give suggestions on how to improve the league but realize that there is a process and be patient.

FAIR PLAY:

You might be thinking that you cannot/ will not be competitive in the first year. That is not the case an Expansion Owner has won the league in both 2005 & 2006.

In 2005 & 2006 we had 4 Expansion teams each year.

In 2005 two Expansion teams made the playoffs.

In 2006 three Expansion teams made the playoffs.

In 2007 we did not have an Expansion Owner but we did have one replacement Owner (which is what you would be considered by taking over a team) had a shot at the NFC North title (and a #4 seed in the playoffs) going into the final week of the regular season. If he would of won he would of won the title.

ME:

Most of my time away from work is spent with my wife and daughter. However, I do spend just about all my available free time either working on the league or trying to improve the league. Should you join the league you will see just how dedicated I am to “The Corporation”. I am someone who manages the Human Resource & Accounting/Finance function in real life so I stress qualities like Integrity & Ethics into this league. The person will obey the Codes of Conduct of the league and respect all other owners. This has only been an issue once during the life of the league. The Owner was penalized a 9th round draft pick for not submitting a lineup for several weeks.

THE TEAM

You would take over “MoneyMakers” spot in the NFC South. This team finished 6-7 and had a shot at the NFC South title going into the final week of the regular season. I know this roster needs a lot of work but the previous Owner did win $26.00 bucks which covered almost half the league fee. The great equalizer in the league is the strength of schedule format we use. The stronger the team the stronger the Non-Division Schedule.

Number of Roster Spots

A. 2008 Roster Makeup- Prior to the start of the 2008 season every Owner will have a combination of forty-three (43) Players, Defensive Teams or Head Coach’s (assuming no Trades) acquired as follows:

Description Amount

Player Retention (Keeper), Expansion Draft or Secondary Draft 26

Head Coach & Individual Defensive Player Draft 5

Veteran & Rookie Draft 12

Total 43

Player Retention

Since we have not declared keepers you would be able to keep as little as 10 or as much as 26 (see below for restrictions). If you keep less than 26 then you would have “x” many of draft picks in our Secondary Draft. The secondary draft is made up of all players dropped from other owners and existing free agents.

Player Group Min Limit Max Limit

Group 1 (QB, RB, WR, TE) 4 15

Group 2 (DL, LB, DB) 4 15

Group 3 (PK, DT, HC) 2 5

An Owner cannot keep the maximum for each Player Group since this would exceed the maximum number of Keepers allowed, which is twenty-six (26) total Players, Defensive Teams or Head Coach’s.

The team still has all 12 picks from the #2 position in the Veteran & Rookie Draft which is in a non-serpentine draft. No 2009+ picks have been traded away.
