IMO A. johnson is a bit of a reach at 1.6.

He has a history of injuries, and thier was IMO better value at this spot, but if he stays heathy, its a great upside pick.

Cant win without some risk. I want to win instead of playing to last. I hate all the picks right after him for RB. Just not a big fan of many RB's in the NFL right now. Can get nice value later on for a RB but after WSL I hated my WR core and planned not to have it happen again. I would have taken Fitz if he was there. WSL I am playing to last IMO

Nice pick with Jennings, was hoping somehow he would drop to me.

Well I thought I would get Boldin but am happy with Jennings in the end. I was almost going to be pissed if I moved up to 1.6 when I would have rathered stayed at 1.7 in the end and missed out on my WR/WR start that I envisioned. Completely different than WSL where I did not get a WR till round 5.

I was choosing between Jennings, Bush, and maybe a QB. I don't like taking QBs early, and I see Jennings as only a 1/2 tick above the next 6-8 WRs for ppr. I really wanted S.Smith, Boldin, or Gates/Witten. The only guys were picked before my pick that i would not have taken are Barber and Gonzo.Between Bush and Jennings, I think they will have pretty similar catch total, but Bush should get 2-300 more yards. If he stays healthy. Yea, big if.Basically, I took the "safe" guy in round one (Forte), so I rolled the dice that Bush would stay healthy in the second round.

Hard to argue with Forte and Bush in this format(PPR). Good start.

Tony G baby!!! 2PPR

I was hoping for Chris Johnson in 1st....fell 1 pick short.

I almost took Jennings in 2nd but felt I had to go with Gonzo there.

You all Suck. PDSL 2 and 3 are midway or more thru the 4th round. PDSL 1 has done 25+ picks today. We can't even get out of the second round. The start of the draft is where everyone is supposed to be pumped and paying attention. I know its an 8 hour clock, but if your gonna be out of pocket PM someone your list. If your not into the draft get out, give someone who wants to be here a chance.

Nice post newb. Prepare to be disappointed with the speed of the survivor league drafts.

Not to worry. If you keep up at this pace, BNB will have cut you all down to a 5 min clock by the time this is over.

Apparently you missed the fact that we started 2 days after the rest of the drafts. We'll be fine.

Pictus, even though we both feel like the kid that got picked last on his gym class kickball team doesn't mean you have to rub it in. :bowtie:

It's not that you weren't good enough at fantasy football, or prestigious enough in the community, or funny enough, its that none of those qualities stood out or collectively met the standard of each captain.Hmm, that's not very comforting, so I leave a quote.

I wouldn't want to be in a club that would have me.

ADP, Zoltar 16, and Pictus Cat jump out the most at me after 3 rounds.

Thanks for the patience while I got the thread updated.

Let's all stop #####ing and complaining and jsut live with the draft. Sometimes we pick at a good clip and other times we're slow. Can't do much about it. Just make sure that you send out your PM's and lists if you won't be around for a couple of hours. A lot of the time you think things are going slow then boom, all of a sudden 5 picks go by and you're up.

Try to check in often, send lists and PM's (for being up and on deck), and let's all make the best out of it. If there are slow drafters, then they will be on the 4 hr then 2 hr etc, clock and will eventually miss picks.

Happy drafting

z

Has anyone kept track of who is on the short clock? The thread is too ugly to try and go through.

Thanks!

My apologies to PDSL4. I got busy out of town and didn't check back in at the right time. Sorry to have held this up the start.

Thanks for the breakdown through 3. Most teams are solid.

I like my team better here than WSL other than I wish I had the stud TE again in there.

The RB RB Power QB committee, hmm, an irritatingly disruptive strategy

Thanks for the input Pictus. I usually go Power QB committee in the survival leagues, but this has really got to be the craziest pick ever for me. QB6 had gone late in round 3 and round 4 went without a QB, and WR/RB's were flying off the board for the last round and a half. I didn't really like the value of any of the WR or RB's relative to the round so I said, what the heck.

Although maybe my strategy should be:

Don't drink so much that you get home and pick your 2nd QB1 in the 5th round.

OK I'll bite. Cooley a tier 2 TE?????

With 2 PPR last year Cooley out scores all but 10 Wrs including Wayne.

75/750/5 is very realistic. 255 points I'll take that from a tier 2 TE

I'm sure someone can give you a better counterpoint than me statistically.Washington drafted a top prospect TE behind him and seem willing to part with him & has developing WRs .That added some risk to me. I considered him at the LJ pick.

I agree with Cooley to tier 2. I think Dallas Clark bumped him out of the 4th and final spot in tier 1. Cooley/Owen Daniels/KWII make a nice tier 2.

You make good points on Cooley & Moore.

Some more things to consider.

What was I thinking about with Colston as my second pick?

Going to be out of town from Sunday morning thru Tues. afternoon. The Athletic Supporters will be checking in and making my picks for me.

Tier 1 for TEs is Witten, Gates, and Gonzo. Period. Tier 2 are the next 4-6 TEs.Dallas Clark's numbers are weighed heavily by his TDs. TDs are not a predictive measure from year to year for most players. Look at his game logs: he had 9 out of 16 games under 50 yards. He is coming off of his highest yardage total of his career, by far. Regression to the mean? He had a 72% catch %... career-wise he is at 65%, 62% before last season. If he regresses to 65%, that is 8 fewer catches, about 100 yards worth. If drops to 62%, we're talking 11 catches, 120-140 yards. Clark has a legit shot at staying at his current production as long as Indy's WR2 does not emerge. If a WR2 emerges, Clark goes back to 400-600 yards. I have Clark as TE4 this year, but he is not in tier 1 based on one career year that followed 5 years in which he only broke 600 yards once. He is the top of tier two, though.Just a little rant on Clark's overvaluation for years. :-)/rant

My first time picking at the top of one of these. I had no intention of waiting so long for a RB2, but at both of the earlier turns I didn't like the value there. I may have reached on Clark a little, but I had a feeling there would be a TE run before the next turn. I like my WR corps so far, and if I can get a decent score at the RB2 spot most weeks I think I can hang around.

FYI, two of your first three wr's have the same bye week.
