I think I am doomed. Tried to change up my strategy from the WSL's that I have been in the last couple years. Big Mistake. Black hole for WR's. I shouldn't have gone another way as my WSL3 team is very solid.

Overall, I am pretty happy with the way this draft looks. TE is less than average to this point and RB has no depth but there is still alot of guys out there that I like that will provide me points each week. Very happy with WR core and got nice start on D. Now 3 QB seems insane to do but while I get 6 points out of some bum at RB and 30 at QB, another team will get 20 and 0 and be gone. Becauee QB dries up pretty quick and someone out there will be left with 1 and a bunch of teams will be left with guys who want start the year in the end. QB scores high each week and with 3 guys to choose from I hope I score high every week there. Wait and see but like Wayback I wanted to change up what I did in WSL where I have a solid team but was unhappy with WR core. This time happy with WR core but not TE. That is going to happen in 16 team league.

I never can understand watching these drafts how Ryan goes 7 but Flacco goes 20. From Week 8 on last year Flacco outscored him. Took him longer to be comfortable with O but once he was, he was right there with him. Even though with that only 18 behind. I think Baltimore brings in O help in the draft also while Atlanta goes D.

Not sure which of our teams stick out. All seem to have weakness and strength

I'm happy with my team. I realise that i may be a little weak at WR position (for now). Rodgers is a solid, consistent QB, Russell can go eityher way. He should be a good buy week fill in, the Raiders will be run heavy this year.

I don't have any compleints with my RB's. Pretty solid right now, i'll fill in some gaps there.

TE need another for the bye week.

DST - two solid teams. Bears were a steal for when i got them.

so far so good.......i will probably go into the year with only 1 QB, some might think this is crazy and you might be right but Manning doesn't miss games and i gain an extra pick at other positions. it would be extra nice if Indy's bye week was early.

as a rule i don't draft this many RBs but they just presented good value to me, 2 starters and maybe a third in Graham, plus 2 TD vultures(Rhodes,M.Bush).

WRs are, i think, fairly strong with 3 #1s(Bowe,Mason,Hester), if Walker stays healthy he will probably be #1 in Jax. and Jackson is a game breaker.

TEs well only 1 so far, but he was rather studly last year and i would expect similar points this year.

One QB is a huge risk. Your "studly" TE had over 4 points in only 8 of the first 15 games last season. Your #2 & #3 RBs are committe at best. Good luck with that team.

Fasano was #10 in scoring in a PPR league i play in....and yes 1 QB is a risk but if i had any other QB i would draft 2 or 3 but i'll roll the dice with Peyton. as far as the RBs go, there ain't many NFL teams that don't have a RBBC, as a matter of fact all of yours are in that scenario.

Both capable of outperforming their positional rank, but most D's are. Den v NE on SD Bye. Not pretty.

I think is it a solid group all together. What people think of the team and how it compares to the other teams remains to be seen.

It looks pretty good overall. ONly concerns I would have is Matt Hasselbeck and the back. Being down to 1 QB wont help. I would have rathered a 3rd QB than a POS like Curry. Both TE's may not be the starter once the season begins or not long afterwards. I think this TE class is exceptional and they could have some nice impact overall. Both would scare me in the end

Thanks for the comments Crip,

On QB, the plan was Seneca Wallace in Rd. 20, but Matt seems healthy and I like Curry. I asked on the audible who would win the WR 2 in Det (after I drafted him and picked him up in dynasty.) Bloom believes BJ, but Curry in the slot will have the same #'s.

On TE, Witten went right before me and I think he has a sleight advantage over the others as far as floor.

TE didn't seem to be much value after that to me. Rook TE are good in this class, but I believe TE takes longer to catch on to than even WR unless they call TE a TE when they use him as a WR (Colston.)

QB: Carson Palmer QB9 CIN, Trent Edwards Buff QB17 BUF, Joe Flacco QB20 BAL

Very happy with this group. I have read a few times that if you have a stud you can get away with one QB but QB scores the most in this format and I want to get maximum points each week which 3 will bring. Flacco to me is a steal as he outscored Ryan after week 7 last year to end of the year and gets no love. Edwards I like alot this year and Palmer is my stud but I got good things in place as Cincy does scare me as does his injury

RB: Joseph Addai RB18 IND, Chris "Beanie" Wells RB30 ®, Brandon Jackson RB56 GB, Shonn Greene RB59 ®, Andre Brown

I like my top twosome. Certainly not the best in the league but round 3 and 6 make good value. Jackson should be a guy that gets me points each week in PPR and hope that Greene or Brown get some carries as rookie RB's have the most impact in NFL out of the gate. I am pretty sure key to last years success stories was the rookie RB

WR:Andre Johnson WR2 HOU, Greg Jennings WR10 GBP, Lee Evans WR21 BUF, Sidney Rice WR53 MIN. Michael Clayton WR82 TBB

I have one of the top threesomes in the league and they should carry me. I do have a concern as my TE situation forced me to only go 5 here which could hurt. Rice is an enigma IMO. NOt sure why Minny talks WR all the time with Berrian and Rice already in house and all the talent he has. I think Clayton was a steal. Played much better at end of 2008 and signed nice contract. There was about 25 WR's taken before him I would not trade him straight up for in redraft. Hoping he is a steal and I suffer no injuries

TE: Heath Miller TE13 PIT, Ben Watson, Shawn Nelson. This unit is weak. So I had to go 3 instead of 2. Ben might do better with Brady back in house. Miller is just a steady but unspectacular guy. Nelson could be the best TE from this draft in the end. He looks like he might stay on the field alot. I think he is alot like Carlson from last year and could provide the spark needed to make up ground

D. New York Giants DST3, Buffalo Bills DST22

I like it. Bills should improve some on D and they are electric in return game. Giants will get tons of everything else

PK: Nate Kaeding K4 SDC, Dan Carpenter. 2 warm PK who are not in danger of losing jobs. There was alot of guys taken late that might not have a job come opening season. Wont name names yet but I do take great pleasure in watching some of the names taken. Feel a slight advantage for those with 2 good K over those that will probably lose theres. I have to follow PK as an important asset in my dynasty league.

Nice team and analysis, crippler.

QB Strong

RB It will be interesting to see if your lottery RB2 rookie RBBC pans out.

WR Nice starters, depth could become an issue with injuries, but quality enough to give some points in WR3

TE Heath at TE 13 not so bad, depth not so good, but you gotta go with guys you like, so hopefully they pan out for you

I think my QBs are OK Cutler was great value, as was McCown before the ledtwitch signing, I still think McCown will be the starter, Anderson could be a steal if the Browns trade Quinn on draft day.

I love Johnson and Slaton in PPR, Sproles is a wildcard, Charles is at least a "Kevin Faulk" type maybe alot more if LJ is gone. Jordan is my favorite of the Denver mess, he was productive last year when healthy and McDaniels brought him from NE

Receiver will be my downfall. Housh will be fine. Moore's shoulder really weakens this group. Gage and Musty are OK and will contribute some weeks. Plax was a swing for the fences pick. I think Bradley could have a great year in KC.

Cooley is a top 5 TE in this format. Royal is a suitable back uo. if Cooley gets hurt I'm screwed.

Indy and KC both should be improved, hopefully they won't suck on the same weeks.

Crosby and Dawson will be fine.

U-G-L-Y U-G-L-Y YOU AIN'T GOT NO ALIBLI! YOU UGLY, YOU UGLY!

That about wraps up my thoughts on my team.

If I would have realized the massive value that RBs represented throughout the draft, no way would I have gone RB-RB in the first two rounds. If Fitz or Andre fell in round one, that would have been my pick. If any of the WRs or TEs taken before my 2nd pick fell, they would have been my pick. If I had drafted out of my original spot (pick 9), I would have ended up with Gore or Deangelo in round one, and Tony G in round two, a combo I like better than Forte/Bush, and would have given me more flexibility later.

But we have to play with what we have, so let's look at the results.

1.07 Forte - I am not a Forte fan, but he is a very safe pick with a high floor in PPR and a reasonable ceiling. He was top 3 in PPR last year. Gore and DeAngelo were also considerations.

2.10 Reggie Bush - Since I went safe with pick 1, this was my swing away pick. Through week 7 last year (before injury) Bush was the #1 RB in PPR. If healthy, he will get 80 - 100 receptions for 600- 900 yards... plus his 400 - 600 rushing yards. High PPR ceiling, but real health concerns await. Considered Jennings (not a difference maker, imo) and Brees (I don't like taking QBs high, especially in best ball format).

3.07 Brandon Marshall - Very happy with this pick. Suspension is a concern, but he didn't really do anything wrong, so it shouldn't be much of a suspension. It shouldn't be ANY suspension, but who knows what Goodell will do? Anyway, Marshall played nicked up last year and still managed almost 7 catches per game... loss of Cutler is a worry, but I think Marshall is a 90+ catch guy regardless.

4.10 Owen Daniels - 70 catches, 862 yards. Excellent when TEs get 2 ppr. TDs are low, but I think that is flukish. He had 5 TDs on 34 catches in his rookie season, and Kevin Walter just isn't an 8 TD guy... Owen should get more than the 2 he got last year, especially if Schaub stays healthy. Speaking of which...

5.07 Matt Schaub - He had 3000+ yards and 17 total TDs in 11 games; that projects to 4400 yards and 25 TDs.... very solid, I think that would be #7 overall last year. I think he can do better in the TD department as well. Injuries are a concern, though.

6.10 Torry Holt - Crabtree, Driver, Coles, Avery, and Berrian were the guys I targeted here. They all got picked. I'm not thrilled with taking a teamless Holt as my WR2, but I knew I was taking a bunch of WRs, so Holt felt like the safest bet to be a 70+ catch guy with 1000+ yards. He might only be a 55 - 700 yard guy, but I think he has something left in the tank and will be closer to 1000 yards than 700 yards. It looks like Jax might be his landing spot, and that suits me fine. Garrard is a decent QB and there isn't any competition for catches there, so Holt should get plenty of targets.

7.07 Ted Ginn Jr. - not a big Ginn fan, but he is young and wasn't bad last year. 56 catches, 860 total yards in year two... he has solid upside entering year three. Obviously has big play potential with his speed as well. Not a bad WR3 this late.

8.10 Jerious Norwood - 800+ yards, 6 TDs, 36 receptions last year. I like Norwood as a RB3 in thsi format. I am hoping Atlanta doesn't choose to run Turner into the ground and expands Norwood's role a bit. I really don't understand why Norwood doesn't get more looks in the passing game, where his tremendous speed can be put to the most use... I didn't consider a WR here because there is such a large group of middling WRs out there at this point.

9.07 Jake Delhomme - the last of the QBs that have both job security and decent upside. He has put up 25 and 30 TDs in Carolina before, though he only put up 17 last year. I expect 20 - 23, and see 2008's numbers as his floor. I wanted Trent Edwards here, but he was gone.

10.10 Mike Jenkins - I REALLY wanted Mushin Muhammed here.... but Yellow Line scooped him the pick before. Jenkins had 50 catches for 777 yards with rookie Matt Ryan throwing to him. I was surprised to see Hugh Douglas go before Jenkins... Douglas had 23 catches and, being 176 pounds, isn't likely the type to get a lot of catches. I think Jenkins is solidly Atlanta's WR2, and should put up 50+ catches again, with decent upside as Ryan improves.

11.07 LeSean McCoy - Not a huge fan, but he could land in a good spot and produce well in a PPR format. Actually considered K. Faulk here.

12.10 Kevin Faulk - The perennial PPR value pick. I think he may be nearing the end, but he should be good for one more season.

13.07 Dennis Northcutt - Just a solid, dependable NFL WR. Matt Jones, Reggie Williams, and Jerry Porter are all gone. Those 199 WR targets have to go somewhere... Walker needs to show something before he is anointed as a dependable guy. At worst Northcutt is the slot guy. I like him to have a Bobby Engram-esque late career surge... not 1000+ yards, but 700 - 800 is reachable, though 600 or so is more likely.

14.10 Carolina D - only the top Defenses score well in this format, so I just wanted a couple middle of the road Ds. I wanted Houston and Oakland, but they were long gone. I also would have taken Indy, who went one pick before this one.

15.07 Bobby Wade - Nothing flashy here, just two straight years of 50+ cathces and about 650 yards. Sid Rice has done NOTHING to show he is the starter, and Wade actually led Minnesota in catches. I think Sage may represent an improvement at Qb, so some improvement is possible for Wade. Not an upside guy, though, just a guy that'll put up reasonable points during bye weeks. I wanted Brandon Jones or Randy McMichael, but they were gone.

16.10 Atlanta D - the last non-putrid defense available. San Fran was a consideration... probably should have taken them to cover Carolina's bye, but wasn't thinking about byes since the schedule wasn't out. I should have, though, since Atlanta is in Carolina's division. At least they have an early bye week, so I may luck out.

17.07 Brandon Stokely - really just a hedge against a marshall suspension. Denver picked up Gaffney, so I am concerned that Stokely's role may be reduced, but I think either player can claim the WR3 spot, so I went with Stokely because he is the incumbent. Stokely should still be at least the WR3 if marshall misses time.

18.10 Joe Nedney - good weather kicker on a mediocre team that should see a decent amount of FG chances.

19.07 Olindo Mare - Seattle should be much improved with a healthy Hasselback and the arrival of Housh, not to mention the return to health of the rest of the WR corps. Mare as K30 is an absolute steal who will be top 20 for sure and has a decent shot at top 10. Assuming he still has the starting gig.

20.10 Chansi Stuckey - I had this guy in the same bucket as the last 30+ WRs taken. Coles and his 119 targets is gone, so somebody has to fill that void. Cotchery and keller will be the first two receivers targeted, but there is a lot of room for improvement on Stuckey's 45 targets. Clowney and Brad Smith just haven't show any reason why they will claim the WR2 role over Stuckey. All this being said, the Jets have some serious QB issues, and any improvement for Stuckey isn't going to be huge or anything. Upside is probaby 600- 700 yards, but likely total is closer to 450 - 500 yards on a bad passing team.

~~~
The NFL schedule came out after my round 17 pick. That left me with some tough choices to make. I wanted two kickers, so I took them. That left me with one pick and three problems: my two defenses had the same bye, I only had one TE, and 4 of my 7 WRs had a week 7 bye.
Well, my Ds have a week 4 bye, so I am hoping to skate through that week with a large number of teams still around. Plus I can't justify taking a bad defense to cover one week and carry THREE defenses on my roster.
There are still a couple of TEs that I am surprised are still out there, so TE was a real possibility. At the same time, those TEs don't have any real upside outside of an injury putting them into the starting lineup, so they weren't likely to outscore Owen Daniels any week other than his bye.
My WRs are my weak point, and my week 7 starters would have been Ginn, Jenkins, and Wade. Stuckey gives me a guy that has a reasonable shot at producing that week, plus a decent chance at contributing during the rest of the season.
~~~

My grades:

Qb - B. Schaub is very solid with good upside, but has injury issues. Delhomme is a solid backup.

RB - B+. Forte and Bush COULD both be top 5 RBs in ppr. 3 pass-catchers behind them, but none are starter quality if Bush gets hurt again. The 3 man committee of backups might combine to be a decent RB2, but Bush was drafted to give me an advantage at RB over most teams, so him going down would likely hurt a lot.

WR - C-. WR value just seemed to suck at every pick for me. If Marshall is a 100 catch guy AND my RBs are a strength, then Holt/Ginn/Jenkins should combine to be decent WR2 and WR3. Too much risk, though. Marshall is not a sure thing without Cutler. Holt might be over the hill. Ginn might not be more than he was last year. Nobody else on my roster is reliable, though they may combine to put up decent week-to-week stats. Meh.

TE - B. Owen Daniels is worth an A-, but no backup is risky, especially when TEs get 2 ppr.

K - B. Mare is a steal, and Nedney will be decent. Nedney was about #13 last year, and should fall in that #12-#22 range. Combined with the Seattle kicker that finished around #6 in 2007 (2008 was silly... all the WRs got hurt, PLUS the QB), this should be a good combo.

Def - C. 2 average defenses might combine for a B or B- grade, but having the same bye week drags them to a C.

OVERALL GRADE - C. Not enough upside players, too much mediocrity at WR, some bye week issues, too many starters with possible injury concerns. I usually really like my drafts, and I usually do well in these types of leagues, but I'm not thrilled with this team.

Keys to success: Schaub and Daniels being top 6-7 at their positions. Marshall catching 90+. At least one of either Holt or Ginn stepping up and being 70-80 catch guys. Forte AND Bush staying healthy and being top 8 RBs.

Likely to finish middle of the pack. Several teams look much better because they waited on RBs and took WRs early. Week 7 is most likely exit due to WR bye issues, though I haven't looked at other teams' bye issues.

Bleh.

Mare is one of those PK's that is risky and why I did not want to wait. They kept Coutu on PS for a reason last season. I think they could go him.

Man I wished you got that POS Mushy as I wanted Jenkins. Think he is safer right now than Rice even though I like upside for Rice.

You also took Faulk on me so glad I got a couple of your wants in Andre and Edwards. :no:

I don't disagree about Mare... this blurb made me feel okay about drafting him:
Seahawks GM Tim Ruskell confirmed that K Olindo Mare would be brought back in 2009.Mare signed a two-year contract before the 2008 season, but the Seahawks also have Brandon Coutu waiting in the wings. With Mare entering 2009 as the clear starter, Coutu could be cut or placed on the practice squad.
Last season was a lost season for Seattle, this season they look like they have a shot at competing. Mare did very well last year, so I feel the Hawks will want the sure thing in Mare over the prospect in Coutu. Also, Coutu's issue was that he did not kick off well, his kicks were short, whereas Mare is more than capable in that area.I'm sure Mare will carry my team on his back all year. ;)

Week 6 - going to be tough without a QB & TE 27 & 33 v Min & Ten and only four NFL teams on byes, One QB strategy downside, and no immunity for weak week 7.

Week 7 - Immunity unlikely, RB 1 & 2 gone, WR3 & 5 gone, but there might be a worse week 7 for somebody though.

Overall a pretty solid draft strategy IMHO.

I know Manning is a stud but not big on the 1 QB theory. It is the highest scoring position in the end and Peyton did have 6 games last year under 20 and 2 under 10. Those weeks can kill. Matt Bryant is a PK I would be worried about for sure. TE is as weak as mine. There is something about this team I just dont like. Probably just not a big MJD fan like most and WR's are solid but none wow me.

waybackwhen:

3.05 Tom Brady QB3 8

5.05 Tony Romo QB8 6

Obviously, I usually go power QB committee in this format as it is by far the highest scoring position. This was a bit extreme though. Romo was there pretty late so I nabbed him as the draft was not rolling like I had thought it was. No great WR value at the 5.05 spot, I didn't think.

1.05 Steven Jackson RB4 9

2.12 Brandon Jacobs RB15 10

6.12 Derrick Ward RB31 8

8.12 Ahmad Bradshaw RB44 10

17.05 Danny Ware RB66 10

Very happy with this group. Not the largest group, but I have 3 starters most likely. I think Ward starts in Tampa for that money. Jackson is solid as the anchor of this group, if he can stay on the field. Jacobs will be a beast, and for the weeks he is hurt, which most likely will happen, I picked up his backups. I took Ware just in case Bradshaw doesn't step into the backup roll like most think. May be a wasted pick, but I just couldn't risk not getting the Giants backfield nailed down, as I think most weeks it will be a high scoring backfield.

4.12 Eddie Royal WR22 7

9.05 Miles Austin WR49 6

10.12 Patrick Crayton WR54 6

11.05 Davone Bess WR59 6

15.05 Laurent Robinson WR77 9

20.12 Malcolm Floyd WR102 5

Yikes. Clearly what will be the downfall of the team when that time comes. Value at WR was never there in this draft I didn't think. They were flying off the board, early and often. I pretty much sealed my fate when I started RB/RB, and was behind in WR ever since. So I tried to pick up great values in other positions to make up for the lack of a good WR crew. Eddie Royal I think will surprise even though Cutler is gone. He will fill the Welker role for McDaniels in Denver, and Marshall will miss some time I believe. I am a true believer in Royal's talent and I don't think a weaker armed QB will effect him as he seams to run the underneath routes. Austin and Crayton were a committee pick as I wanted to try to get the WR2 for Dallas. Hopefully I did, and they don't sign Matt Jones. I think Bess will still play even if Camarillo comes back healthy. Laurent Robinson may end up a wild card in St. Louis. He has the talent, just can't stay healthy. I think they will atleast give him a shot to contribute. Floyd was a great value at the end of the draft.

7.05 Jeremy Shockey TE12 5

13.05 Donald Lee TE22 5

19.05 Brad Cottam TE30 8

Decent committe here. Got some bye week problems as the schedule was not out, so I had to find a 3rd TE and I think Gonzo gets dealt from KC. Cottam may step into his spot, although Haley hasn't included the TE into his offenses very much. I think Shockey may step up a bit in year 2 in the New Orleans system. Lee will get his, although I wanted to get JFinley as my 3rd TE to make sure I got the Green Bay TE points wrapped up, but I would have had bigger bye problems.

12.12 Pilly Def/ST10 4

14.12 Jax Def/ST23 7

I guess you should try to get 2 D's. Philly was a good value at Def10. Jacksonville hopefully can rebound a bit. I think Del Rio will get that D turned around.

16.12 Lawrence Tynes K16 10

18.12 Jay Feely K25 9

Again, atleast I got two. Carney did awesome last year in the NYG offense so I do think Tynes will surprise. Feely atleast starts, and I always like a kicker on a team with a good D and a bad O.

Overall, middle to lower half of the teams is where I think I rank. Clearly my worst effort to date in the survivor formats. I think I could surprise if I can overcome the lack of recievers. If it was for money, I might not have taken some of the risks I did with QB so early and staying away from WR for so long. WR's just went so damn early in this draft, and I usually never follow the runs and I usually look for value. This is clearly one of the times I maybe should have strayed from that theory and just gone WR a bit earlier. Oh well. Live and learn.

WayBackWhen:

Week 6 is looking like a tough spot, with L.Robinson AND M.Floyd having to start.

So when you and your weak WRs get eliminated in week 6 due to bye week issues, my weak WRs and bye week issues and I will follow you out in week 7.

;)

Eli Manning QB15 NYG 10

Jason Campbell QB18 WAS 8

Not the best duo here, but will get me points every week. I looked at QB in every round from 2 on, and I didn't see value. Missed out on a big QB run which is the problem of picking on the turn. I know lots of people are down on Campbell, but I think WASH has too many other needs to grab a round one QB, so I think Campbell has the job all season, and maybe some of his new weapons develop. If the giants get Edwards, its a huge boost to Eli and my chances.

Adrian Peterson RB1 MIN 9

Cedric Benson RB33 CIN 8

Fred Jackson RB45 BUF 9

Carnell "Cadillac" Williams RB65 TBB 8

Cedric Pearman RB70

I didn't plan on waiting on RB2 for so long, but it always seemed the players I wanted were getting sniped. I don't like Benson, but I dont think CIN can afford to draft a back high with all the other needs. Jackson may suprise this year if he does well during Lynch's suspension. I have always been a Caddy fan and I root for him to maybe become a GL back as he recovers this season. Pearman is a flyer at the end, but could get on the field for 5-8 touches a game depending on where he goes. I hope he does because weeks 8-9 will be rough.

Wes Welker WR12 NEP 8

Jericho Cotchery WR24 NYJ 9

Antonio Bryant WR25 TBB 8

Greg Camarillo WR55 MIA 6

Bryant Johnson WR56 DET 7

Hakeem Nicks WR75 ®

Mike Thomas WR106

I really like this group, and byes didn't get me as bad as I thought. Week 8 is tough because of my RB problems as well. Camarillo and Johnson were great values where I got them. I probably would have passed on WR3 earlier if I had known. Nicks has the tools to contribute year one whereever he goes, and Thomas was an upside player for might break a couple of long catches.

Dallas Clark TE4 IND 6

Jared Cook TE26 ®

Not really happy here, but players went quick with 2 PPR. Clark will be a stud and as long as Manning is healthy he will be top 5. I do think Cook gets some looks whereever he goes, and hopefully he stays on the field more as a slot guy maybe in a Keller role.

New York Jets DST11 9

Washington Redskins DST12 8

Two defenses who made a lot of improvements in the offseason. I didn't want to wait 30 picks and get scraps at DEF2 so I paired the two best availible at the turn and got lucky with byes.

Josh Brown K18 STL 9

Jason Hanson K29 DET 7

Two kickers

Not the worst team as I didn't get hit as bad as I could with byes. If I can make it past weeks 8-9 I think I have a shot if my WRs can come through each week.

Well, the team is interesting. The week 8-9 bye weeks will absolutely kill me if I make it that far.

QB: Pennington had a good, servicable season and should outperform his draft postion. I feel his ceiling is about QB10, but see him finsihing no worse than QB15. I liked Sanchez's potential to start right away, so I selected him over Stafford who I think at this point will sit for a season in Detroit. It worked out well that I was able to acquire Kellen Clemens as well, as those two should have the Jets job locked up this year. I normally try for a top 6 QB in the early survivors, but did not like the value at each pick. Debated Manning over Witten in the 2nd.

RB: I seem to go RB early and then forget about it. Tomlinson has 2 years left and has a chip on his shoulder. I expect 1500 yds combined and 15 TD's. Top 3 potential @ pick 14 screamed value. Marshawn Lynch dropped to far do to the suspension. I was expecting 1-2 games, so the 3 game deal disappoints me a little. Hopefully the appeal works out. For the weeks he plays, Lynch can be a top 10 back. Rhodes is not going to take too many carries. Lewis was the last starting RB with potential to get most of the carries. He plays for the Brown, but hopefully Mangini punds the ball ala T. Jones last season. I liked where I got him. Probably should have gone for another RB, but I was behind the 8 ball on WR all draft so I had to get a lot of depth there.

WR: I completely missed on where I thought WR's would go. I hated my draft spot and would have loved to be in the 1-4 side for WR's. Moss, Ward, and Coles should be solid. Moss is still the #1 in DC, Hines should make a nice possesion WR, and Coles in CIN across from Ocho should be productive. All three have the same week 8 bye, so I may be completely hosed, unless my three rooks step up quick. Harvin in MIN should be a good fit, and if he gets his head on straight he could start right away. Heyward Bay is making too much money not to see the field in OAK from day 1. Robiskie lands in a great spot with Stallworth qurestionable and Braylon's issues in CLE. Andre Davis is a flyer, but Meachem should show why he was a 1st round pick for NOS 2 years ago. The Saints throw the bal enough to where he can have a couple 10+ pt games and count.

TE: Witten is going to need a huge 90+ catch season for me to have a shot. I like the potential with TO out of town and the Romo relationship. Sciafe is a great TE in Tenn and has potential to be a top 10 TE.

D: Ugly. Should not have taken MIA after having Pennington at QB. Detroit fields a defense.

K: NE scores a lot and MIN plays in a dome with a QB that can't convert in the RZ. I have the top K tandem. That should be worth a bowl of soup.

Overall, the WR position hosed me. I was chasing rookies which I hate to do. Starting in the 4th round, I kind of lost it. I was on th eroad a bit more than normal and could not plan as well as I would have liked. The bye weeks ended up brutal as I have top 3 WR's off week 8 and 2 out of 3 RB's, plus 3 WR's and NYJ QB off week 9.

Thanks for the competition.

Post Draft

QB: Still very happy with the group I have. One of the best

RB: Addai took a hit but Wells value goes up significantly. Green and Brown are interesting in the end and Jackson helps in PPR. Overall average

WR: I think one of the best threesomes in the league. Depth could be an issue with Rice and Harvin now. Probably my undoing in bye weeks

TE: This turned out better than thought. I love where Nelson went

D and PK. Very good units

I love this team overall but I think my WR depth will come back to haunt me in the end with Rice. Hopefully my QB's get me 30 per week in the end. I will need to get some immunities for bad bye weeks

Just curious to see how things look over 3 months later:

Matt Schaub QB10 HOU

Jake Delhomme QB21 CAR

Matt Forte RB5 CHI

Reggie Bush RB14 NOS - Knee issues cloud his value. He's looking good one day, sitting out the next.

Jerious Norwood RB43 ATL - possibly getting a few more touches. Just like every year.

LeSean McCoy RB52 ® - could be a difference maker should Westy get gimpy.

Kevin Faulk RB55 NEP

Brandon Marshall WR14 DEN - possible suspension looms. QB downgrade. Hip.

Torry Holt WR37 UFA

Ted Ginn Jr WR39 MIA

Michael Jenkins WR52 ATL - Gets a boost with Hugh Douglas going down.

Dennis Northcutt WR66 JAX - Might be the reliable guy in Detroit after Calvin. Might be a wasted pick.

Bobby Wade WR78 MIN - Not looking like much with Percy looking good and Rice possibly ascending.

Brandon Stokely WR WR84 DEN - Looking like the odd man out with Gaffney looking solid.

Chansi Stuckey WR101 NYJ - good value pick locking up WR2 in NY.

Owen Daniels TE6 HOU

Joe Nedney K24 SFO

Olindo Mare K30 SEA - possible issues arise with camp competition with Cantu.

Carolina Panthers DST21

Atlanta Falcons DST27

Overall, not too much going on in either direction. Bush's health is the biggest issue. Jenkins and Stuckey looking like contributors, but not difference makers. Haven't lost anybody yet.

Crosby and Dawson will be fine.
onths later I have 1 QB, Great RBs, No depth at WR, and 1 TE

Damn
