VI. Strong Teams, Total Talent (Limit Position; Limit Bye)

1) Nugget (two player position limit (TE, RB); zero bye week limit)

2) Helltoupee (zero player position; bye week #9)

3) Toads (zero player position; zero bye week)

4) CommuterMan (one player position (WR); zero bye week))

5) waybackwhen (zero player position; week #5)

6) AD11 (zero; zero)

7) NorrisB (zero; bye week #8)

V. Conclusions

1) While everybody has a chance, those with fewer limitations will probably advance.

2) Hence, the more talented teams should prevail.

3) Unless, of course, those teams with talent are decimated by injury. Generally speaking, the competition favors balanced scoring with no bye week deficiencies (and, it doesn't hurt to have a strong TE position).

4) Consequently, HellToupee's weak bye week (#9) will be probably be a non-factor (see gamma1210 and Sigmund Bloom week #9), and

5) he'll duke it out with CommuterMan (who needs his WR's to come through) for the title.

6) NorrisB has no glaring deficiencies and is balanced in scoring. He'll be there, too (if he can mamage to slip past week #8).

7) Toads needs a big year from from Jay Cutler (see Hester/Iglaisas) and that radial carotometry surgery for Devin Thomas to kick into high gear; gots "Sleeper TE Power" ®).

Draft is going well by my estimation so far. Through 6 rounds I have no bye week hits yet and I've been able to get value at most picks. I've never gone WR/WR in a survivor leage before, but I like where the players are laying out. I'll add more later as the draft develops a bit more.

Thanks to everyone who participates and sets these up. I'll be ready to kill my local redraft this year.

Really like this team. Your leaguemates must like you with the gifts they left (Lynch/Parker).

8.06 Gamma1210 - Heath Miller TE14 PIT (8)

9.11 Gamma1210 - Sage Rosenfelds QB29 MIN (9)

Really like my first three picks, I had Barber at the end of a tier of RB1s, really happy he made it back to me. Lots of players have been sniped by 2-3 picks, but thats expected in this type of draft. I also underestimated the QB runs, but Eli should hold his own most weeks if he can find a WR to step up. Some bye week issues, but still a lot of time to work on those. Just got Jenkins as a WR4 and he has some upside where he was picked.

Ahh, strong in some areas(WR), weak in others(QB,TE), but who doesn't have some weak spots in a 16 team draft.

Updated: 13.13....DEF #17 gone.....DEF's flying off the board.

There are eight teams with one DEF/ST and three teams with zero DEF/ST (Bloom (14.14), Comet (14.10) and Rudy (13.15 and 14.02).

Thats not too bad your main mistake was you should of gone QB in the 7th round
Norris....that's called a "dangling modifier."To whom does it apply?

Both FUBAR and waybackwhen went QB in round #7, so they are exempt.

Well... I'm not :loco: about this team but I don't think it's a :loco: either

FUBAR

4.01 FUBAR - Donovan McNabb QB6 PHI (4)

7.16 FUBAR - Trent Edwards QB17 BUF (9)

:lmao: I like this duo. Edwards now has TO, and while his stress level will shoot up, so should his stats. McNabb is a stud when healthy.

1.16 FUBAR - Clinton Portis RB11 WAS (8)

2.01 FUBAR - Steve Slaton RB12 HOU (10)

9.16 FUBAR - Tim Hightower RB48 ARI (4)

:lmao: I wanted to try RB/RB this draft and believe Slaton/Portis to be a top duo. It may have hurt me other places, but this could work out. If Wells isn't a stud immediately or has injuries, Hightower should produce well as my RB3.

3.16 FUBAR - Roy Williams WR19 DAL (6)

6.01 FUBAR - Donald Driver WR30 GBP (5)

8.01 FUBAR - Mark Clayton WR44 BAL (5)

11.16 FUBAR - Antwaan Randel El WR61 WAS (8)

13.16 FUBAR - Sidney Rice WR MIN (9)

11.16 FUBAR - Davone Bess WR MIA (6)

 Going RB/RB and then grabbing a QB in the 4th and TE in the 5th will lead to a bad WR corps I didn't want to chase WRs, but made the error of having 2 week 5 byes :bag: This will be my undoing. Maybe Rice can put up some big games and I like Bess to be a relatively consistent 3-4 reception / game guy.

5.16 FUBAR - Greg Olsen TE10 SEA (5)

12.01 FUBAR - Vernon Davis TE19 SFO (6)

:loco: Potential is there, and Olsen was too good a value to pass up at 5.16. VD :goodposting:

10.01 FUBAR - PIT DEF/ST #1 (8)

:wall: Needed a top D to make up for WR deficiencies.

I honestly don't know where to put this group. On one hand, I like 4 of the 5 positions. OTOH, my WRs are just plain bad.

Ah Ha! Mystery solved.Should you have taken a QB in round #7? Six QB's fell untill you had the option in the 8th.

So, NorrisB is probably right.

Yeah looking closer at the situation I would have gone Jay Cutler in the 5th and Kevin Curtis in the 8th, that would have looked alot better. Your QB options were not much better in the 7th so I retract that statement. I would definitely have gone Jake Delhomme over that noodle arm Shaun Hill, but I really dont like either option. QB isnt a position you want to be cheap on because with 16 teams its pretty difficult to get 16 starters and the only position one player per team gets all the points for that position.Obviously you didnt plan this team very well as you should have had an idea what QBs were going to be available by looking at the other SLs. I like the players you picked, think you did a good job in that sense, just need better planning.

What makes it bad was in the fourth Sinrman sent me hais list with Palmer #1. I wanted Palmer. I had to leave so I sent both list to someone else. Then Sinrman shhows back up and doesn't take Palmer. I could have had him but I didn't put him om my list because I assumed he was going to Sinrman. Lesson learned

That is tough. I treat those lists like MFL Pre-Picks.In round #2, I sent off a list that ended up netting Brandon Jacobs. He was listred #3 on a lost of seven players....about an equal # of WR's-RB's (three each) and a QB.

How that pick worked out ended up shaping my entire draft as I had 2-RB's after two rounds and proceeded completly differently than if I'd netted a WR or QB.

Thanks for the heads up. :football:

I've just been following you guys draft. I know it's getting late now but I'm available if anyone needs to send a player list. Don't know if that's ok since I'm not in any SSL draft, ended up 1st Alternate. Oh well, maybe next year.

Classic Toads. Who do you want to drop to your next pick by drawing attention to the DEF run?

Not to many people send lists in this group. Too many top secret picks apparently.

Devious tatics, for sure.I'm allways discussing strategy with GOBW.....he's a great sounding board.

Like these last rounds when we get to play our our D/ST and PK strategies.....phew! :lmao:

5) PK's - 1) YellowLine, 2) Nuggets, 3) HellToupee

6) DEF/ST's - 1) gamma1210, 2) AD11, 3) FUBAR

7) Balance - 1) HellToupee

II. Team Vulnerable (Bye Week)

1) AD11 - (week #8: #1 QB, #2, #3 RB)

2) NorrisB - N/A

3) Bloom - (week #9: #1 RB, #2 WR, #3 WR)

4) YellowLine - (week #4: #1 RB, #1 WR)

5) Sinrman - (week #5: #1 RB, #2 RB)

6) waybackwhen - (week #5: #1 RB, #2 RB, #4 RB, #1 TE)

7) Comet - (week #5: #1 WR, #2 WR)

8) beachbum - N/A

9) HellToupee - (week #9: #2 WR, #2 RB)

10) Norseman - N/A

F) D - 1) Comet, 2) Rudy, 3) NorrisB

IV. Strong Teams, Total Talent

1) Nugget (2-Player position limit; zero bye week limit)

2) Helltoupee (zero player position; bye week #9)

3) Toads (zero player position; zero bye week)

4) CommuterMan (zero player position, zero bye week))

5) waybackwhen (week #5; zero bye week)

5) he'll duke it out with CommuterMan for the title.

6) Toads needs a big year from from Jay Cutler (see Hester/Iglaisas) and that radial carotometry surgery for Devin Thomas to kick into high gear; gots "Sleeper TE Power" ®).

Definitely not one of my better teams. I like certain aspects of it, but the lack of QB punch and bye week issues will catch up to me at some point (more likely sooner rather than later). I was seriously thinking of taking a risk on Sanchez to try and shore up my QBs, but he was snagged before I was willing to risk it. I even considered Leftwich, but he was taken right before I was going to. So I left it the way it was and figured rather than risk and nearly throw away a pick by trying to nab Kellen Clemens or like Vince Young, I'd keep trying to plug other players that I might get a couple decent games from. I actually kind of like my RBs, but that week 5 bye week will be a killer. I better hope I a) make it that far, and b) Lewis and Graham can at least somewhat make up for the loss. I really like my top 3 WRs - Fitz, Ward, and Coles. But after that... meh. I had completely forgotten that Camarillo was coming off of surgery. Walker and Stokley, albeit late late round picks, will have to help step it up a week or two at least to help in case my top 3 stumble. Not so sure that will happen as Walker has been a complete bust in Oakland and I'm not sure how Stokley will respond with Orton there and not Cutler. My TEs I do like a lot, but I am not one who likes to reach for a TE on the bubble in the early 3rd round, so I'm kind of wishing I had gone a different route and taken my chances at TE later on. Kicker and Defense? Eh, not too shabby. Week 8 and 9 bye weeks might be even worse than my Week 5 just because of the sheer number that are off those weeks.

Overall, I'd give myself a D+ or C- maybe. If I do somehow make it to Week 5, I'm not sure I'll make it past that. If I miraculously make it past that, I'll probably get knocked out Week 8 or before...

QB: Brees & Flacco - I think I overpaid for both of these QBs and I am not sure that they will perform to their draft position. I can see a sophomore slump for Flacco but I need to get a second QB in the midst of a QB run...

RB: Gore, LJ, Addai & KJones - nothing here stands out. Gore could have a big year but he could be a bust yet again this year. None of these RBs are special.

WR: Holt, Chambers, Bruce, Burleson, Nelson & Jones. I would trade this scrap pile of WRs for the fee into next year's survivor's draft. I waited much to long to draft my WRs and everytime I thought the WR that I was targeting would fall to me that player was snagged by another team drafting around me.

TE: I truely despise 'Soldier boy' and I slapped myself literally as I typed his name into the dialoge box as my selection. I had hoped that Clark would fall to the bottom on the third round. I guess the 'shine' is off Scheffler now that his roommate and buddy is wearing the 'C' on his helmet instead of the 'D'. Hopefully Tony finds away to show his detractors that he can stay healthy and vital to the Bronco offense.

K & ST: Nothing special but four solid contributors each week. Hauschka has a strong leg and if his accuracy improves then he will win the job in Baltimore without a doubt and if that happens then I got a top 10 kicker at the bottom of the pile.

This roster was definitely not what I envisioned when this draft started. Just about every selection was debated as I could easily find issues and cause not to draft every player there - something that usually does not happen for me.

Well I have to hand it to you guys, you made it tough at every turn. I also made a few tactical errors that may cost me.QB: As my 2.14 approached, I was hoping for Manning to fall, simply because of his durability and strong trend to end 2008. I also didn't like my chances of getting a QB worth the pick at 4.14 vs the WR and RB value. I figured one of Marshall, Bowe or Welker would fall to my 3.03 so I could go QB1/WR1. None did. I should have went WR first and hoped for Brady at 3.03 or sucked it up and taken Clark or another WR if he didn't ( I figured no way Manning would last through the turn). Because Clark was the next player on my board, I then ended up with two of my top three picks on the same bye and that forced me to use a pick on a solid backup QB to patch up that vulnerability instead of gaining an extra roster spot and going QBless in Peyton's bye week. I gambled a WR would fall and lost. Russell has Philly when Peyton's on bye, at least they have to come to the west coast for the game.

RB: I still love Jackson on a game by game basis. If he can actually stay healthy, he'll justify this pick for sure. It sucks that he doesn't have a clear cut handcuff. I prefer RB2BC in this format, and I can't complain about Sproles big play profile and Rice's good hands and likely increased role in 2009 as the anchors in that committee. Choice is the kind of RB that I know will produce when he gets the chance, I'll take it in the 11th. I probably would have taken another RB in the 9th instead of Russell if I didn't foul that 2/3 turn with two Colts - probably Graham.

WR: I have to say I like what I was able to do here even though I didn't take my WR1 until the late 4th. Four deep big play threats in Holmes, Avery, Evans, and Morgan - hopefully two of them can have good weeks in any given week, and I love that while they won't end up top 10-15 WRs, they'll produce a good amount of top 10-15 weeks because of the chances for the long TD catch. Henderson is getting no love in the SLs and I cant figure out why. He'll give at least 4-6 scoring weeks as Brees designated bomb threat, and with Moore's shoulder in question, he could do more. He got a big vote of confidence in the form of a long term extension and he's technically a starter. I had to get one more wideout so I could have four in week 9 when Evans and Avery are off, and I was very happy to land James Jones - yes his knees are an issue, but he's good for 4-5 points as a baseline, he's in a great passing offense that favors the pass in the red zone, and he should also have at least 2-4 outburst weeks.

TE: Dallas Clark could easily catch 90 balls this year with no Harrison around. I expect him to be Manning's second favorite target. While going Colt/Colt early made me have to stay away from week 6 guys and Colts for the rest of the draft, the upside is that hopefully that combo will gain me immunity for a week or two when Clark and Manning go nuts on a team that has a flaw in their defensive gameplan. I love McMike as a backup TE, he should catch 45-50 balls and he has the upside to do more.

K: Well, I was hoping to get the last two uncontested kickers and I only got one because Feely and Seabass have the same bye. Suisham wasn't great last year, but Rayner is probably the least stiff competition in the kicker battles.

DEF: I'm fine with Tampa and STL, at least STL has Spags, and the D really picked up for a stretch mid-season.

Week 9 is going to be an issue with my 4 Rams ( ;) ) + Evans off, but the Colts get Houston at home that week, so hopefully Clark and Manning can carry me. Having only one kicker and one defense doesn't help - I'm definitely playing with fire. I considered Evans, Avery and McMike very good values where they fell and I was forced to the STL as the 32nd D. We'll see if it bites me in the end...

The QB issue is rough between the likelihood of Bulger getting hurt and Delhomme imploding in any given week. At least Carolina won't be as dominant, so Delhomme will have to throw more - but that could result in him losing his job if he plays like he did in the playoffs. Strong RBs, You nabbed Graham two picks before me  , but not necessarily a group that will clearly outpace the competition, and Bush's injury history looms. Im afraid that you may get nothing at all from Walker and little from Camarillo early- at least you have a very steady top 3 WR. Cooley wasn't a bad reach in the 3rd, he caught a ton of passes last year and that shouldn't change this year.I feel your pain, the pain of looking at your draft and wondering how it went off the tracks at bit.

5) he'll duke it out with CommuterMan for the title.

6) Toads needs a big year from from Jay Cutler (see Hester/Iglaisas) and that radial carotometry surgery for Devin Thomas to kick into high gear; gots "Sleeper TE Power" ®).
Funny as I was drafting my team all I could think about is how I hated my roster...2.04 CommuterMan - Drew Brees QB1 NOS (5)

I do think Brees was a reach, your late 3rd was in the sweet spot to get one of the last top 8 QBs who I think are clearly above the next group. Loved the value you got in Addai in the 5th, but LJ was a reach, he might have a few great games, but I think KC goes pass heavy and LJ is not a passcatching back. KC has the Redskins in week 6, watch out if Haynesworth is in top form. I would have honestly expected a few chokeholds at QB, RB, or TE with your WR corps. I do think you got Burleson and Nelson at good values, but I would have avoided the SF pair altogether as I think you got the 4th and 5th best 49ers WRs, and they're not a prolific passing team anyway. You needed another deep threat pick or two to hope for the scoring week on only 2 or 3 catches with how long you waited to take your WR1. Love the value pick of Winslow, he should be close to the cluster of TEs that went in the 2nd/early 3rd. Love that D combo too, both are liable to have big weeks because their offenses stake them to big leads. It will be hard for you to survive week 6. I do feel your pain on the draft not turning out as you had envisioned. This was a very good group of owners who made this thing challenging from beginning to end.

Carson Palmer 8

David Garrard 7

I like these two QBs, I think Palmer will be a stud this year ala Peyton Manning now that he has an offensive line again. The decline of Levi Jones has killed him the past year and I expect him to rejoin the first tier of QBs, and I got him alot cheaper than those are going. Garrard is a nice safe bet, he finished QB11, and I expect with the improved oline and receivers for him to improve upon those numbers.

Adrian Peterson 9

Jonathan Stewart 4

Laurence Maroney 8

Ricky Williams 6

Pretty solid group here I think, I think Maroney is the best back in NE, and he'll get his share of carries if he's healthy and Rasta provides nice depth as a 12th round draft choice

Dwayne Bowe 8

Brandon Marshall 7

Kevin Curtis 4

Steve Smith 10

Malcolm Floyd 5

Kenny Britt 7

I dont feel Marshall will get suspended, I went with Dwayne Bowe oer Welker just like the fact he's got improved QB play the loss of Gonzo should have him see more targets. Kevin Curtis is a guy who could have 1000 yard season, dont think whats his name will develop that quick. Steve Smith is a nice safe WR with moderate upside that really helps solidify this group.

Malcolm Floyd is a guy with unbelievable potential, I reached on him early, I think he's every bit as talented as Chambers and Jackson. Britt is a guy I dont really like but end of the 16th round I guess I'll take a flyer on him, with that WR corps in Tennessee he should get some numbers even if he sucks balls. Plus he's got a first round pedigree so you know they intend to use him.

Zach Miller 9

Billy Miller 4

Pretty solid TEs here, Miller should be a 4th round selection imo, him falling to the 8th round was a steal, I think he's got potential to be a teir 1 TE. Billy Miller is a guy who should score for him a couple times a year, he's on a pass happy offense with an injury prone Jeremy Shockey.

I love what Norris did and he's my odds on favorite to win. Peterson was really 1A at #2, and he was rewarded for waiting on QB and TE, something I didn't have the patience to do - His QB combo should score in the top half despite not using a top 4 pick on one, and Zach Miller may end up being the steal of the draft in the early 7th - I was considering him over Sproles if Norris hadn't taken him even though I had a 3rd round TE in Clark, just because I could have then neglected QB2, and also as a keep away pick from the people who had waited too long on TE. Smith was another pick that Norris sniped - I think he could lead the Giants in receptions, and Norris forced me into punting and taking Russell when he took Smith. This team should last deep in the contest. well done.

Not real excited about my team, but if things fall right it could last a while. Probably would change a few things if I could, though.

QB's

3.10 Norseman - Kurt Warner QB4 ARI (4)

11.10 Norseman - Mark Sanchez QB31 NYJ (9)

I wanted one of the top QB's and I felt Warner was the best available in the third, before they all started to go. I considered going solo with Warner (with the early bye week) and picking up Leinert at the end, but chickened out. Didn't really like the Sanchez pick at the time and probably like it less now. Rare is the rookie QB who will put up good numbers (even though there were two last year). Good at qb, but probably should have went another way.

RB

1.10 Norseman - LaDainian Tomlinson RB8 SDC (5)

6.07 Norseman - Felix Jones RB31 DAL (6)

7.10 Norseman - Chester Taylor RB38 MIN (9)

8.07 Norseman - Ahmad Bradshaw RB43 NYG (10)

Was happy to get LT at 1.10 as he should easily finish top 3-5 at RB. Wanted Sproles but Bloom took him just before I planned to. F. Jones, C. Taylor and Bradshaw should form a very good 2ndRBBC. As long as LT comes back from the injury and returns to close to his norm, should be very good here.

WR

2.07 Norseman - Roddy White WR7 ATL (4)

4.07 Norseman - Antonio Bryant WR21 TBB (8)

5.10 Norseman - Lance Moore WR29 NOS (5)

10.07 Norseman - Patrick Crayton WR57 DAL (6)

12.07 Norseman - Bryant Johnson WR66 DET (7)

18.07 Norseman - Chansi Stuckey WR?? NYJ (9)

Was looking at A Gates in the second round, but didn't want my first 2 players to have the same bye, let alone the same team, so I took White instead. If Bryant and Moore can put up similar numbers to last year, this should be a solid group. I thought Moore's ADP was interesting: beginning of the 3rd in two drafts, and end of the 5th in the other two. The next 3 could all be the #2's on there teams, and all have a different bye, so at least 5 scores to draw from each week. Pretty good to potentially very good group.

TE's

9.10 Norseman - Anthony Fasano TE15 MIA (6)

17.10 Norseman - L.J. Smith TE30 BAL (7)

After passing on Gates in the second round, as usual the TE's were snatched up quickly and I finally had to get one before there was nothing left. Fasano could jump up to one of the upper tier TE spots, and L.J. was a great value in the 17th, especially with the Heap injury news (again). An OK group, pretty good considering how little I invested in them.

K

15.10 Norseman - Robbie Gould PK12 CHI (5)

16.07 Norseman - Dan Carpenter PK21 MIA (6)

Two K with different bye weeks, and should be fairly certain to keep there jobs. Good

DEF/ST

13.10 Norseman - HOU DEF/ST #14 (10)

14.07 Norseman - BUF DEF/ST #19 (9)

Two DEF with different bye weeks, both could be improving and Buffalo is has one of the better special team return games in the league. OK

Bye weeks are spread out pretty well, (may have spent too much time on that consideration at the expense of better value) but again not really excited about the team. It could last until the end, or flame out fairly early. Not one of my better jobs :)

QB should be fine, you never know with Sanchez... I think you got Warner at a fine spot. You didn't overpay for LT and I really like the RB2BC - Jones could end up being one of the steals of the draft, and Taylor is good for a baseline play and big time upside if AD goes down. Bradshaw might have been a little reach with the addition of Andre Brown to the Giants. You have a great WR1 and WR2, and Moore could be huge, but torn labrum scares me, I would have taken Henderson instead of Bryant Johnson to hedge against that injury. Stuckey was a real nice last round pick who could catch 40-50 balls and seemed to have a knack for getting open in the end zone for bit there last year. TE is okay, but you could get bashed over the head at this position. Fasano did have 7 TDs, but he caught two passes or less 10 times last year. LJ isn't a bad #2, but I thought you should have taken another TE right on the heels of Fasano to help cover the down weeks.

6.06 Gamma1210 - Eli Manning QB14 NYG (10)

9.11 Gamma1210 - Sage Rosenfelds QB29 MIN (9)

Not a fan of my QBs and got caught in the runs. I think Eli was a good value in the 6th, and as long as Favre's arm is still half falling off I might be ok with this discount tandum.

2.06 Gamma1210 - Marion Barber RB14 DAL (6)

5.11 Gamma1210 - Thomas Jones RB28 NYJ (9)

7.11 Gamma1210 - LenDale White RB39 TEN (7)

17.11 Gamma1210 - Mewelde Moore RB64 PIT (8)

I was targeting Barber in the 2nd and I didn't think he was going to make it to me, but he should be a stud on a PPG basis at least. His health is a concern but it is for all RBs. Jones and Fatdale were just too good of values to pass up. I don't really like either, but Jones should be a startable #2 and White is an excellent bye week filler. I wanted Moore as my RB4 the whole way and missed him in the PDSLs. He will still be the 3rd down RB until future notice which is good for a few catches a game.

1.11 Gamma1210 - Randy Moss WR3 NEP (8)

3.11 Gamma1210 - Braylon Edwards WR17 (9)

4.06 Gamma1210 - Jericho Cotchery WR20 NYJ (9)

10.06 Gamma1210 - Michael Jenkins WR56 ATL (4)

12.06 Gamma1210 - Chris Henry WR65 CIN (8)

18.06 Gamma1210- Malcolm Kelly WR WAS

Having Edwards and Cotch on the same bye will hurt some, but otherwise I really like my top 3 here. Henry has upside being next to Chad this year if he stays out of trouble. I expect decent numbers from Jenkins as well with Ryan continuing to develop. I love Kelly's skills, but we have to see if he can beat this injury bug. Worth the risk in the last round.

8.06 Gamma1210 - Heath Miller TE14 PIT (8)

14.06 Gamma1210 - Shawn Nelson TE26 BUF (9)

I think Miller is one of the more underrated TEs this season. He won't be top 5, but Ben still looks his way a few times every game. Nelson was a guy I loved before the draft and I think he makes his way onto the field quickly this season and will be another target for the improved Bills passing game.

15.11 Gamma1210 - Nick Folk PK13 DAL (6)

16.06 Gamma1210 - Jason Hanson PK20 DET (7)

Two kickers

11.11 Gamma1210 - CHI DEF/ST #8 (5)

13.11 Gamma1210 - ARI DEF/ST #15 (4)

Chicago is improved this year and hopefully Arizona remembers the defense it played during the playoff run.

4.08 HellToupee - Matt Ryan QB9 ATL (4)

16.08 HellToupee - Byron Leftwich QB34 TBB (8)

18.08 HellToupee- Pat White QB? MIA (6)

I seem to have a fundamental problem of drafting a backup QB in a 16 team man league. Having Leftwich as my backup is a tough minefield to cross. Took White in the 18th for ####s & giggles . I'm betting he'll be listed as a WR to run the wildcat and thus so makes him very interesting.

3.09 HellToupee - Ronnie Brown RB17 MIA (6)

5.09 HellToupee - Darren McFadden RB27 OAK (9)

7.09 HellToupee - Rashard Mendenhall RB37 PIT (4)

11.09 HellToupee - Michael Bush RB57 OAK (9)

McFadden is the key here and probably to my whole team. I think he's going into this season vastly underrated but hedged my bet on him with Bush. I think Medenhall's talent is going to force his way into a split of the carries with fast willie

1.09 HellToupee - Andre Johnson WR2 HOU (10)

6.08 HellToupee - Bernard Berrian WR35 MIN (9)

8.08 HellToupee - Muhsin Muhammed WR45 CAR (4)

9.09 HellToupee - Hakeem Nicks WR52 NYG (10)

12.08 HellToupee - Bobby Engram WR67 KCC (8)

Happy here but wish I had a 6th receiver. AJ is the linchpin . Not crazy about BB , got him at the end of a mini run .I do think BB will have more recps w/Sage or Brett .Mushin needs to get me 60-65rec .Love Hakeem , think he's going to have a very solid rookie year. Engram is a nice WR 5 in this format

2.08 HellToupee - Tony Gonzalez TE2 ATL (4)

17.09 HellToupee - Alex Smith TE29 TBB (8)

I never draft a top TE early and wish I didn't here. Always prefer to draft a 6-10 range TE but the 2ppr drew me to Gonzalez but I'd much rather wait. Considered Gates but passed, didn't want to see his name each week on the injury report. I'm happy landing Smith as my backup in the 17th , I think he'll see a lot of action in NE. Still not happy going with a TE early

14.08 HeTollupee - Garrett Hartley PK05 NOS (5)

15.09 HeTollupee - Neil Rackers PK11 ARI (4)

Two kickers from high powered offenses with different bye weeks. I'm satisfied here

10.08 HellToupee - NYG DEF/ST #2 (10)

13.09 HeTollupee - CAR DEF/ST #13 (4)

Wanted the Giants D not only because of their talent but also their bye week with Houston. With only the Giants and Texans off if left all other D's available for a backup. Got burnt in the PDSL with no backup D and wanted to make sure it didn't happen here

Had a little xtra time....you learn a lot when your typing in each player, his player position order # and his bye week.

I can almost do the bye weeks by memory but I check ever one.

Yeah you got hosed at QB... the question is did you give yourself advantages at other positions?RB: I like Barber where you got him, and Jones has a ton of upside for a 5th rounder if he gets this contract stuff off his mind and shows up to play. White will be a fine gap filler, but he will likely get less TD opps as the Titans won't be as dominant on D as they were last year. Moore could be a sneaky good late pick.WR: This is where you invested heavily. If you hit a home run with Edwards, you will be among the best in the league. Jenkins is a nice baseline guy to fill in, and Henry might have been one of the steals of the draft if Palmer's words about 85 were more than frustration. Kelly was probably overkill with how top heavy your group is and his continuing knee problems.TE: Underwhelming. I think Nelson is going to be a real nice player, but expecting a lot from a rookie TE is tough. Miller is one of the last acceptable starting options, following up with a stronger #2 was advisable.K/D: As long as Folk doesn't yield to Buehler on long FGs, you're fine. I like CHI/ARI combo, although losing Hester's return punch hurts a bit.Like most of us, this teams has hopes if a few things fall into place (Jones and Edwards), but the holes seem more prominent than the strengths right now.
