Domino's should start with making a decent pizza and THEN move on to gimmicks like "check in when you're five feet from the store" or "insure your pizza and receive one at a random time".

Ya, they are stuck in the middle, pricewise, between "I'm broke and still want a pizza" (Little Cesears) and "I don't have to scrounge in the couch cusion for meal money but can't spend $3 more for an actual decent pizza (Pizza Hut and Papa John's).  Thus, they have to go with gimmicks unfortunately.

Even if price was equal I’d rather have Domino's than Pizza Hut or Papa Johns

Certainly no point of debating chain pizza (particularly in this thread), but I would suspect you are in the minority.

It's a stupid debate anyway.  Sometimes I'll go grab a Big Mac, other times I'll go grab a Whopper.  Neither time do I think I'm eating top quality burgers.  Same goes for Dominos or Pizza Hut.

Captain Obvious from whatever travel agency he schills is really starting to push the envelope on what he says in commercials.  It's like he's not getting enough attention and is just trying so hard to get some by any means necessary.

Agreed.  First few commercials when he first appeared were entertaining and clever.  They've run out of ideas on how to use his schtick though, so now they are stuck with a recognizable add campaign, but don't know how to write for it anymore.

As far as fast food and pizza goes, a few dollars now saves me money on toilet paper later.

I almost exclusively poo at work.  We have very private stalls (that are basically little rooms) where I can go and get lost in Facebook, Twitter and Words with Friends.

I like Domino's pan pizza.  It's actually pretty good.

I also like Little Caesar's thin crust.  For $6, it's OK.

A couple local banks have really bad commercials, they're harmless montages of dorky employees and customers shaking hands and smiling uncomfortably.

What makes them horrific is that BOTH have chosen to featured loud, shrill, comfy-country whistling - think Andy Griffith show theme.

It makes me want to hunt down these local TV ad hacks choke them like Homer does Bart.

Papa John's should stop spending money on ads and spend more on making better food. Their pizzas have always been trash and by many accounts they've actually gotten worse.

I know, get off my lawn.... but I am sick of most commercials right now, mainly because of them all showing the whole "we're all in this together" BS.  We get it, everyone is doing Zoom conferences and making Tik Tok videos.  I don't need to see it in commercials.

The Corona commercial showing a collection of "at home" videos with some dumb sappy track is the epitome of this kind of suck right now.

Corona has a lot of gall considering they were the ones that started the whole thing.

"Would you like to attend our presentation?"

"No, I'm not interested in a timeshare."

"Well this once is about protecting your gutters from leaf buildup."

"What do I wear, and can I bring my daughter? :excited:"

I'm pretty sure that YouTube TV knows that I'm secretly gay, which is news to me, too.  Every other commercial break--and I'm not kidding--there is a commercial for Duscovy for PrEP which I have gleaned from the commercial helps keep gay guys from contracting HIV through sex.  The commercial itself isn't bad, but I swear I see it 8 times a day.  Every day.  And I suspect that advertisers have more control over targeted advertising via streaming platforms like YouTube TV.  Hence, I think they are targeting me.  Hence, I'm pretty sure that I may be secretly gay.

Every single commercial for a prescription drug is absolutely terrible.  Yeah, let's all go to a farmer's market, then fly a kite, then go for a little jog before having a meal on the beach.

I assume it’s some proven technique that distracts from the viewer totally focusing on all the negative side effects rambling that is required.  Happy imagery + over the top scenarios must make the brain not internalize negative sounds as much (or something like that)

There's a company in Pittsburgh that buys every ad spot during the news to push their "Gutter Helmet".  I want to punch the guy AND the cartoon squirrel that says you get a free gift card with your estimate.

Yeah just noticed that, I actually think that's a new thing unless I missed it the first few years these turrible ads were out.  Obviously their legal department has required them to dumb things down to the lowest denominator.

Discontinue use immediately if one of these symptoms occurs: fever, rash, sudden death....

The GEICO spot (radio version, not sure if there is a TV one or not) with the goldfish singing opera could be the most annoying ever. And so damn LOUD! :hot:

Any commercial where they are trying to capitalize on the mask, like showing Domino's delivery guys in masks and there are countless examples.

Any commercial where they try and act out how we should be feeling or behaving on Zoom calls or Face Time get togethers, 🤮

Any commercial where they try and tell us they are looking out for me...they're only looking out for me so they can bleed some more money from me.

I'm not jaded, not the least bit

Any commercial that features the Capital One guy walking thru a coffee cafe like a make believe lobby when all the BANK LOBBIES ARE CLOSED!!! And what's up with those pants/jeans, that guy should have done porn as my wife tells me every time it runs.

Was going to post this one a few days ago but wasn't sure if it was Geico or Progressive. Progressive has some terrible ones too where Flo has try and not talk about insurance for a few seconds and then she can't do it and blurts out something like "Save money, switch to Progressive!"
