And the quality is good? What's the catch? How are they doing it for 1/3 the price of competitors?

J

Because it's located in Hong Kong and they likely pay the tailor 35 cents and hour.

I got myself a tailored suit from Hong Kong (different company and not as much play with the ticket pocket and double vents and what not). It only cost me 130 bucks I think.

I a not a huge suit guy. I love a good looking suit, but I only wear them 7 or 8 times a year. To my untrained eye, the suit was just fine. It needed some additional tailoring, but most suits do.

Sweat shops?

OK, I can't look that sweet all the time, so the below are a few pics of what I may mix and match for work (advertising agency for me), casual night out or art gallery/museum/dinner type event just for visual examples of MY PERSONAL TASTES.

http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk161/o...n/IMG_08132.jpg - Decent look, but you're buttoned wrong.

http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk161/o...n/IMG_10212.jpg - Oof. Not good. Where to start. Fix the hair. The 'just out of bed look' doesn't work with your shorter hair and long face. The shirt is fine, but the cardigan is mismatched (I know you're going for a style here, but it misses), poorly fitted, and again, buttoned wrong. Cuffs not good. Take the rubber band off the wrist and wait...are those suspenders?

http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk161/o...n/IMG_05272.jpg - Nice outfit. Stylish without looking like your trying too hard. Hair disasters averted here.

http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk161/o...n/IMG_05882.jpg - Not a fan of the fit of the jeans. And, well, the shoes. The jacket is fine for outdoors, but should not, under any circumstances, be worn indoors.

From what I read in here, you seem to have a pretty decent sense of style, but you are trying way too hard (see second pick). When you reel it in some like in pic 3, you do well.

And I'm middle of the road on the jeans issue. I have realized the error of my past in buying $20 jeans, but there's plenty of great fitting, well put together jeans out there in the $50-$60 range that will last as long as the $100+ jeans.

These ponchos were designed by Alexander McQueen and were all the rage at Paris Fashion Week. Great look for the Fall.

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_J0MV9-J3tgc/SKPQ...eenFall08-4.jpg

I prefer to wear my cowboy hat and/or sombrero OVER my poncho.
I am looking for pictures, but I am pretty sure A-Rod and Samuel L. Jackson do too.

Went to Toronto this past weekend.

Saw dozens of men wearing the skinny jeans and vests-over-tshirt look.

Not a good look.

I really wait for these. Offdee whats up for us this fall season??

Some things you'll start seeing more of:

- tailored double breasted blazers/suits

- three piece suits

- grey jeans

- jean jackets

- the solid dark blue jean (no rips, whiskering, no wash, minimal stitching on back pockets) (with straight leg fit, no boot cut)

- hi-top fashion sneakers (not b-ball shoes) and boots (with straight leg jeans)

- fitted henley shirts

- retro sunglasses

http://www.celebrity-sunglasses-finder.com...anye_west-7.jpg

- military (on steroids) almost marching band looking type jackets: http://media.onsugar.com/files/ons1/333/33...ca15e_dolce.jpg

Another autumn and winter upon us and I haven't been abe to find a good pair of boots in a LONG time. Looking for something in softish leather most likely. Dark brown or black. Not complete winter boot but something I could get away with in the snow. Some ideas here.

Lose the bootcut.

Agreed. But JTG seems like a boot cut kind of guy.
I can roll with either. I am a skinny dude so bootcut borders on flair for me.

all of these are pretty cool, except for the fact I could never pull off the tucked into the boot look.

Yep, it's definitely a distinct look that many wouldn't be comfortable with (including me at this time). The Redwings options I show above aren't as tall so it wouldn't be so obvious...just loosen up the laces a bit and then tuck the jean leg behind the boot tongue for the same type of effect. In snow you can use this as your excuse to not getting your pant leg wet so there is a reason for doing it outside of just plain :style:

Note: this is another reason to steer away from bootcut jeans moving forward and more of a straight leg...will cover less of your sweet kicks.

That's good. Bootcut is so five years ago.

Reputable online clothing source that I've purchased from before with good products. Nice little weekend holiday sale going on with some decent stuff (and some questionable :style: stuff as well)

Some sweet shoes if :kickinitcasualstyle: with jeans

Earlier in the thread someone was asking about cool Henleys, here's a decent one

Great staple winter jacket that anybody can pull of and exude :style:

Curious to know why you feel this way Joe. It's just a black lightweight jacket with shoulder and neck snap tabs that many of the modern day stylish jackets have been mirroring.

Is it just because it has a Members Only label stitched to the chest that makes it bad in your eyes?

Some thoughts needed from the regular suit wearers...

Just purchased a new 3 piece suit and looking to polish it off in true :style: fashion for a GB's upcoming wedding.

This isn't my suit, but a visual anyways to get the 3 piece look established...

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bvVvxWTEuSI/RqDb...s400/00003f.jpg

Pocket Square: just purchased some simple white cotton handkerchiefs and want the simple, crisp straight line like in next visual. Is there a trick to getting this look....is it just a matter of folding it properly and ironing one of the folds? Add spray starch to it while ironing?

http://www.esquirebdrm.com/img/user-images.../a10_xlarge.jpg

http://www.splendicity.com/sheknowsbest/fi...uit-2-thumb.jpg

Tie Bar: are these proper to wear along with the vest of a 3 piece suit or is that overkill? I have a tie bar and want to wear it, but wondering if I'll need to go with either one or the other....vest or tie bar. If need to choose, which shows more :style: ?

overkill IMO. Choose one.

Whenever wearing a suit, just ask would Don Draper wear this and you'll be fine.

just picked up this polo....classic look and great color. Should be good for golf, Texas nights, and Sunday brunch :style:

http://www.tobi.com/product/16134-paul-smi...9306#ref=plroll

Solid purchase GB.

The silver buttons make it stand out from your normal plain polo and I'm liking the extra button on the chest pocket. Gives it that add'l :style:
