Oh Yes!

What is the ideal amount of time to microwave a Krispy Kreme donut

Varies on microwave.

I'd say between 20 and 30 seconds.

8 seconds

:shock:I thought everyone knew this.(8 seconds for 1 doughnut. You should only microwave one at a time anyway though.)

I also think 8 is perfect. But I would wrap it in aluminum foil 1st.:

It depends on the wattage of the microwave. That might work for the microwave we have here in the breakroom of our office, but if I put it in my microwave at home for 30 seconds it would evaporate.

If a donut needs microwaving 8 seconds isn't enough.

11 seconds because I'm too lazy to hit separate buttons to go 10 or 15 or whatever...so 11 it is. :bs:

We're not trying to melt the donut, people. We're just trying to heat it to the point that the glaze reaches that wonderful gooey state of goodness.

8 seconds!

:moneybag:Double hitting of 1 is slick here.

I was going to say 7 seconds but I'll go with 8. Always one at a time to ensure even heating. For the lazy people just hit 1 minute and pull it aout after 8 seconds. Just 1 button that way.

I think we should be nominated for some kind of nobel prize.

It's never going to be as good as when it was first made. Just buy one donut and eat it before you leave the store. Save money, calories and the worries about the optimal microwave setting.

Another vote for 8 seconds, although my microwave has an automatic "add 10 seconds" button, so I just push that. But slightly less than 10 seconds is the correct answer, IF at room temp.
