I dont think we make the playoffs this year with Hoyer. Doesnt mean we cant, and doesnt mean we shouldnt try. We add a playmaket at 4 and another good player at 26 and 35 and we win games this year even if Hoyer is a bum.
Now, will ONE QB this year end up decent?? Probably.................but who? We cant draft 8 of them, can we? Though I dont think any of them will ever be considered "elite" at all.
To me, drafting one of these crap QBs is NOT the best way to make our team better now or in the future. Simple.

I dont know who will end up as starters. By default some of them almost have to.
Bridgewater might even be a starter. But so was SAnchez for several years. So was Ponder. So was Weeden. Yayy.

Which guy? Cuz last year at this time, all the talk was how this year was going to be QB-palooza. Now granted that included Mariota and Hundley, but Bridgewater! Boyd! Manziel! Carr! Fales! etc etc.
I don't know if Bridgewater is going to be good, but I do know that "next year" is never as good as we thought it would be.

That was a fun ten days though, haven't seen the stadium or downtown like that since the Seahawks game in 07. Maybe the giants game in 08.

i never said he would fail. Those ten days he was the qb were great, haven't seen the city like that nor the team play like that since 2007. We cannot look at that and say give him the franchise though. We have been seeing what this kid has for a decade and a half and always end up in the same spot. MAYBE even our 2nd and our latest 3rd and 4th if it gets us high enough back into the first to take a guy we like a ton.
A deal like that I would be ok with. I mean, that is three 1sts, still with a 3rd and 4th. Just gotta make sure it's for the right player

draft class is too strong, take who falls or trade down the back up, do not give away picks. Choose wisely and those are future starters, signed cheaply.

I woudl think it would be more silly to pass on a franchise QB when we could move up to get him with a measily 2nd rounder or something.
If you feel he is "The Guy".........................a 2nd is a tiny price to pay to make sure you get that QB.
I will cry tears of blood if we trade up for a QB personally, but I would think as much as you love Teddy you would be A-ok with it
