QB: Matt RyanQB: Matthew StaffordSolid duo, no issues. It was Stafford who saved hooks #### in SSL1 and kept me in SSL2.
Would not be surprised to see Stafford turn the corner and throw for 25 TDs...he has nice upside with Megatron there.
stallworth baby!
It certainly doesn't hurt that they are looking to improve at WR.
flacco not staffordgood situation for him

just chiming in here for no reason at all really other than just saying I kind of chuckle when I see posts like this in these survivor league threads, because there are so many variables that go into a survivor league compared to others that you just can't even really make it more than a complete guess......things we don't even know yet like bye weeks....someone could probably reverse this list and give some decent reasons why they might be right....the teams really shouldn't be that far apart in terms of talent.....strategies might be a lot different.....but its fun to take a crack at it....

While the social value of competing and predicting is fun, the discussion of the players and strategies is valueable IMHO

Trying to put together a winner and justify it at least to yourself has as much value as winning to me

In a nutshell, I would really like this team if this was a standard "set your lineup" league for a 16 teamer. However, I don't like your distribution of the number of players at each position for a survivor league and your depth is very questionable because of it. More than 4 RBs and less than 6 WRs is usually suicide to begin with in the 18 player rosters let alone the 20s. Couple both with no second defense and the fact that none of your QBs are likely to do any damage on a weekly upside basis, and I think you have some issues. Good luck.

Final squad with (BYE) weeks

QB - Joe Flacco (8) & Josh Freeman (4)

RB - Ryan Grant (10) , Tim Hightower (6) , Justin Forsett (5), Lex Hilliard (5), & Quinton Ganther (9)

WR - Reggie Wayne (7) , Santonio Holmes (7) , Robert Meachem (10) , Mario Manningham (8) , Brandon Gibson (9) , & Deion Butler (5)

TE - Kellen Winslow (4) , Fred Davis (9) , & David Thomas (10)

K - Connor Barth (4) & Olindo Mare (5)

DST - Tennessee Titans (9) & Arizona Cardinals (6)

Looks pretty good - only place I got nailed was having top two WR off in Week 7, but NOBODY else on the team off that week

Tom Brady (5), Marc Bulger (?)Cedric Benson (6), Shonne Greene (7), Ryan Matthews (10), Lendale White (9), Mewelde Moore (5)Andre Johnson (7), Percy Harvin (4), Santana Moss (9), Chris Chambers (4), Nate Washington (9), Torry Holt (5), Moose Muhammad (1-17), John Carlson (5), Jeremy Shockey (10)ATL (8), CAR (6), JAX (9)Phil Dawson (8)May wind up being thin at RB. Maybe not. Overall average draft here. don't love it, don't hate it.
I feel a lot better about this team now that Matthews landed in a good spot.

Fro -Final Team

QB's

Peyton Manning 7

Chad Henne 5

Top Tier QB to anchor my scoring every week. Averages over 20 points per game, never gets hurt. Got a young strong armed backup who has shown some promise in case something fluky happens.

A

RB's

Rashard Mendenhall 5

Ronnie Brown 5

Jahvid Best 7

Leonard Weaver 8

Nice top two. I picked Mendenhall early because I wanted a back that has no question marks. He has no competition for touches, will not get competition for touches, is the 3rd down back, goalline back and is used heavily while having the body type and skill set to take the punishment. I don't think he is an uberstud just yet . . . he just has all the characteristics of a back that you want when you're drafting in February. Hopefully Brown can stay healthy. I realize there is an injury risk here but I feel if he stays healthy this year, it will be a steal. Best is a rookie who has a chance to do well, and don't sleep on Weaver this year. McCoy was losing all kinds of touched to Weaver down the stretch last year. He's a RB trapped in a fullback's body.

Overall I could of used one more guy here. I like the guys I got but I may have problems if things don't break right.

B-

WR's

Michael Crabtree 9

Pierre Garcon 7

Kenny Britt 9

Kevin Walter 7

Johnny Knox 8

Domaryius Thomas 9

Kelley Washington 8

Hopefully with a full camp under his belt this year for Alex Smith and himself, Crabtree can take the next step. I feel like we are looking at a first round WR when I see him play. The only thing holding him back is a system and a QB right now. Garcon looks like the real deal. I think he holds the outside spot in Indy next season has a chance to put up some big big games. Britt started to come on next year. Another season under his belt can only be a good thing. Walter is depth, Know is intriguing with Martz in town. A top rookie prospect can go either way, KW is more depth. Overall I like this group. No guaranteed studs but all good players and good depth. Based on the rest of my team's strengths this group should be enough to hold serve.

B

TE's

Jermichael Finley 10

Tony Scheffler 7

Rob Gronkowski ?

Love Finley this year. Man did he come on this second half of the season. I see top three Dynasty TE right now. He speed and size cause alll kinds of mismatches for opposing defenders. He should anchor this group. Sheffler is good when giving targets but his contempt for Josh McDaniels cannot be a good thing. Gronk could suprise some people this year. I decided to take a third TE over a fourth RB dues to the uncertainty with Scheffler. May have been a mistake with Finley in towe. At any rate, TE should be a strength of this team.

A

K's

Kris Brown 7

Joe Nedney 9

Two mid-tier kickers with no job security issues. All you can ask for. By the way. Congrats on that kicker run fellas. That was one hellava kicker run and I was honored to be apart of it.

B

Def

Cincinnati Bengals 6

Buffalo Bills 6

Both of the teams were suprisingly good fantasy defenses last year. Buffalo was second in INT's and Cincinnati was 3rd in yards allowed. Not too shabby. Hopefully I can avoid conflicting bye weeks with the duo.

B

_____________________________________________________________________________

Overeall this is a solid WSL team. Like I said, RB depth could be its undoing but I think the QB and TE scoring can make up for that. Not a ton of risk with this team but I do have 3 rookies, all of whom I think can contribute if given the right situation.

Overall Grade:

B+

Should survive past the halfway point with a chance to be a final 4 team.
Bye Weeks Analysis

Top two RB on week 5

Lots of overlap with WR's

Def share a bye

Overall not a good drawl for me.

166.6 in a low scoring week and was hoping for immunity, but Duke got in the 170s. Alas, I will still need one more miracle to escape the first five weeks without any QB scoring. Hope I can make it one more week so Ben at least gets to play.

Week 8 with top two RBs and top three WRs on Bye does not smell like success regardless.
