2011 offseason dynasty trades (1 Viewer)

10 team super flex, non PPR. I am not involved in this trade:Team A gave up:Orton, Kyle DEN QBJacobs, Brandon NYG RBSteelers, Pittsburgh PIT DefTeam B gave up:Dalton, Andy CIN QBJohnson, Chris TEN RBGraham, Jimmy NOS TEIMO this is one of the worst trades I've ever seen.
Chris Johnson is being stolen right now in a lot of leagues. I dont get it. Still easily a top 3 pick.
Did the guy getting reamed give any explanation for this trade? Is this a 2qb and does he own bradshaw?

He has given no explanation. Yes, superflex means we can start 2 QBs. He does not own Bradshaw. His roster prior to the trade:QB - Flacco, Dalton, Alex Smith

RB - Chris Johnson, Lynch, McCoy, Snelling, Tate

WR - Evans, Ford, Garcon, Holmes, Owens, Steve Smith (PHI), Wallace

TE - Graham, Gonzalez

K - Cundiff

D/ST - Chargers, Cowboys

In addition to the bolded starters above, 2 flex positions are additionally required, with a max of 1 more QB, 1 more RB, 1 more TE, or 2 WRs. With this roster, he didn't really have a clear second QB starter, so he will now start Orton.

He posted a couple weeks ago that he was putting Johnson on the block and wanted a QB upgrade. I offered to work out a deal involving Josh Freeman, who was the #8 QB in our format last season. He told me he wasn't interested in Freeman.

NON ppr league (we start 2 RBs and 3WRs):

Marshall

9th overall pick in rookie draft

Andre Johnson

Felix Jones

I have stud RB in front of Turner (AP, Mendy and J.Best), on WR beside Marshall I have Colston, Austin and Maclin.

Oh my.

14 team PPR league with devy players. Draft picks are watered down maybe half a round.

About a month ago gave up Mcgahee for Bilal Powell.

Today

Gave: B. Powell

Got: Lee Evans and 2012 1st round pick, which will probably be mid to late.

Is this a unique point-per-block league ? I have never seen Sellers rostered, no matter how large the rosters.

Haha, nope. We just had cutdowns too, no clue how he survived them though. This went through today, only 3 WR start in this league.

Team A gave up: Peyton Hillis, Stevie Johnson, Roy Helu, Alex Green, Lee Evans, Cecil Shorts, '12 1st (likely 1.09-1.12 range)

Team B gave up: Calvin Johnson, Michael Bush, Marshawn Lynch

Team B is trying to rebuild and didn't have much other than that and Jonathan Stewart at RB.

A few trades I've made lately:

PPR

Give- Davone Bess, 2012 4th

Receive- Tim Hightower, 2012 3rd

Give- Jacoby Ford, Dez Briscoe

Receive- Mikel Leshoure, Ryan Williams, Malcom Floyd, D.J. Williams (TE)

Zealots

Give- Dez Bryant, Ryan Grant, Andre Roberts, Dustin Keller, Mason Foster

Receive- Percy Harvin, Michael Bush, Reggie Bush, Taiwan Jones, Titus Young, Ed Dickson, Robert Quinn, 2012 1st, 2012 3rd, 2012 4th

This Zealots team was completely bare when I took over and I'm trying to put it back together. I think the picks will be middle of the pack or so.

I don't get why people write zealots, just write the scoring system.

Probably because a significant portion of FBG, and even any people in general, who play dynasty - know the Zealots scoring system. By far the most well run and widely spread dynasty league set. Oh yeah - and it's easier than typing out three lines of how many points for various yardages and receptions and pass TD value.ETA: oh yeah, or the various flexes and flex restrictions

12 team ppr.

Traded: Johnny Knox, Tony Moeaki

Received: '12 2nd (moat likely middle round)

Knox was probably my WR7, Moeaki my TE4 behind Finley, VD, and Zach Miller. Needed to cutdown rosters too.

Salary Cap Dynasty IDP

1ST TRADE

Gave:

M.Hardesty $4 / O.Daniels $6

Received:

(2) 2012 2nd Rounders / M.Shaughnessy $9

2ND TRADE

Gave:

T.Gerhardt $4 / 2012 3rd Rounder

Received:

2012 1st Rounder

We're nearing roster cut downs, and in both cases I was just trying to clear roster space. Pleased with how I did, considering that I may have had to flat out cut them, but not certain this was the best value. Sold both backs to the handcuff owners.

12 team PPR (not involved)Team A Gave WayneTeam B Gave 2012 2nd
IMO you ride the car until the gas runs out if that is the only value you can get.
Yep. Why trade a WR that finished No. 3 overall (in ppr leagues) for such a crapshoot pick. The risk/reward that Wayne's production does not drop significantly - which can either be used by A or traded for more that A got in return - is much greater than the risk/reward that comes with a future second rounder. At the very worst Team A still probably could have got a second round pick once the season started even if Wayne got off to a slow start as a team in contention could have felt that Manning's slow start affected Wayne.

Standard 12 team start 1/2/3/1 with 0.5 PPR.

Team A gives: Best/Crabtree/2012 3rd (prob late)

Team B gives: Austin

Team A needed WR, team B needed RB.

12 team ppr dynasty, starting requirements: 1QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, TE, Flex (RB,WR,TE).

I traded: Willis McGahee RB, Antonio Gates TE, Jerome Simpson WR and 2012 Draft, Rnd 1 (hopefully late. I was No. 3 seed last year)

I got: Danny Woodhead RB, Kenny Britt WR, Greg Little WR and 2012 Draft, Rnd 2 (good team should be late as well)

I had some unispiring WR3 canidates behind Miles Austin and Jeremy Maclin in Braylon Edwards, Jerome Simpson and some flier types. I had Dustin Keller and Lance Kendricks behind Gates, both of him I started growing more and more comfortable starting if I had to. Also we don't run ou offseason waivers until next week and Julus Thomas and Ed Dickson are available.

I may have slightly over-paid, but when my trade partner started negotiations offering guys like Derek Mason, Darrius Heyward-Bey and Jeremy SHockey into the mix for Gates, I knew it would be tough :lmao: and frankly no one else really needed a TE in this league. Just wondering if I did the right thing - tough to trade a difference make like Gates, but he is getting up there. My line-up:

QB: Drew Brees

RB: Ray Rice

RB: Peyton Hills

FL: Cedric Benson

WR: Miles Austin

WR: Jeremy Maclin

WR: Kenny Britt

TE: Dustin Keller (Lance Kendricks)

12 team PPR dynasty

A gave: Royal/D Ward

B gave: L Moore

12 team auction PPR dynasty (picks worth a lot as we have a rookie auction and picks can be stacked)

A gave: Hightower

B gave: Shorts/2012 1st/2012 3rd

Dynasty PPR

Team A - gets Hightower/Torain/Manningham

Team B - gets Blount/Mike Thomas/D.Moore
