Anyone else trying to avoid same team picks at top spots to avoid possible bye week issues with all the uncertainty of scedule next year? See a couple tandems which obviously will have same bye week (year, duh) but add another top three round pick and it can really affect team.

Of course, rarely matters except in this survivor format.

I believe you MUST avoid this. With injuries, bad matchups and just flat out bad performances, a double gooseegg can kill you.

Figured I would toss a couple impressions on this early part of the draft.

4.16 Sinrman- Jay Cutler, CHI, QB 13

1.01 Sinrman- Adrian Peterson, MIN, RB 1

2.16 Sinrman- Miles Austin, DAL, WR 10

3.01 Sinrman- DeSean Jackson, PHI, WR 11

5.01 Sinrman- Tony Gonzalez, ATL, TE 8

There is not a weakness per se here, but I am biased against Cutler. He'll produce, I just don't have a positive impression of him. AD is solid rb1, both WR are excellent and was thinking to go WR/WR/WR if I could get either. My concern with this team is Gonzo. A hall of famer for sure, but he is 35 and has been showing a slow down. If the Falcons grab a pass catching TE in FA or draft, I would be concerned. Gonzo has indicated he is coming back next year. Just not sure he will be a TE1. Of course, Falcons don't have a real WR2, so that helps him unless they address that as well.

5.02 Joffer- Sam Bradford, STL, QB 14

1.02 Joffer- Arian Foster, HOU, RB 2

3.02 Joffer- Peyton Hillis, CLE, RB 14

2.15 Joffer- Dwayne Bowe, KC, WR 9

4.15 Joffer- Owen Daniels, HOU, TE 7

Bradford did well with pick up receivers, and if he can get some chemistry with Avery's return and continued development with WRs who outperformed this year, he should do well. If Danario Alexander can get fully healthy that would help a lot. His knee makes this unlikely as a dependable week to week option. Awesome RBs, especially ppr. Bowe, same as Cutler above, has the talent, should perform, just don't like him. Owen Daniels - wish he would have come back slower this year. Will be a good ppr as Walter and Jones didn't show enough. Foster's role in the running game does eat into his production some.

1.03 Broadway G- Chris Johnson, TEN, RB 3

3.03 Broadway G- Knowshon Moreno, DEN, RB 15

4.14 Broadway G- Santonio Holmes, NYJ, WR23

5.03 Broadway G- Kenny Britt, TEN, WR 24

2.14 Broadway G- Dallas Clarke, IND, TE 3

This is a steady team. If CJ2 gets the play calling and QB support to play his game, then awesome. This year was really distressing for the Titans. Moreno finished well and is maturing in his role. I think given coach/owner backing, he could be a feature back. The WRs are both good low end WR1s, especially if Britt gets his act together and is teamed with a QB who can use him best. I am a big Dallas fan, and already took some heat, but I think he is the ppr TE to get.

More later.

Yeah, not too crazy about Cutler. I ALMOST pulled the trigger on Josh Freeman instead, and probably should have. Being at the tail end of the rounds now makes it hard to predict how things will shape up. If I had waited for a QB I'd be in a heap of trouble. My WRs I'm starting to warm up to. I'm just a bit afraid that Dez Bryant and Jason Witten will steal too much from Austin and a rising Jeremy Maclin and Brent Celek will steal too much from DeSean. As for Tony G. Well, at the time I took him, I was again trying to predict how things will fall the next go-round, and I knew I had to take a TE. I like Cooley, but the injuries and the ?? at QB has me shying away from him. I'm not too crazy about the other TEs that were available at that point. So far, not horrible, but not the greatest. The mid-rounds will really make or break this team (as it often does).

3.13 Pictus Cat- Matt Schaub, HOU, QB 9 Seemed to be a value at QB 9 and QBs were going fast.

10.04 Pictus Cat - Colt McCoy, CLE, QB 30 He should at least get a chance to be the starter

1.13 Pictus Cat- Steven Jackson, STL, RB 9 I'm a fan and the team is getting better

4.04 Pictus Cat- Jonathan Stewart, CAR, RB 19 Hoping for DWill to leave, seemed a value at this spot

2.04 Pictus Cat- Calvin Johnson, DET, WR 5 Improving team that will be behind. Upside if the fragile support stays healthy.

5.13 Pictus Cat- Mario Manningham, NYG, WR 29 Targets every game and SS may still be recovering if he is still there at all

6.04 Pictus Cat- Santana Moss, WAS, WR 31 Seemed a good value

7.13 Pictus Cat- Deion Branch, NE, WR 41 Seemed a good value

8.04 Pictus Cat- Aaron Hernandez, NE, TE 16 I needed one eventually. Hoping he improves in year 2. Missed on Finley and Winslow. :bag:

9.13 Pictus Cat - Kevin Boss, NYG, TE 21 Shoring up the TE, Boss is a part of the passing attack and will get points to make up for the NE merry-go-round of TE production

Rounds 1-8 Missed on groups of players I thought would fall. I don't think this team will improve much from here during the draft. Good QB & RB starters, better WRs, and TE, notsomuch.

3.11 Redzone- Tony Romo, DAL, QB 8

8.06 Redzone- Kyle Orton, DEN, QB 22

5.11 Redzone- Benjarvus Green-Ellis, NE, RB 24

6.06 Redzone- Ryan Torrain, WAS, RB 26

1.11 Redzone- Hakeem Nicks, NYG, WR 3

7.11 Redzone- Davone Bess, MIA, WR 40

4.06 Redzone- Mercedes Lewis, JAX, TE 6

I'll give a quick rundown of this team

Romo should be a sure top five QB given the talent surrounding him and the lessening of the potency of the ground game. However, Barber, Jones, and Choice should maintain Ds from playing cover. Witten is still in his prime, Austin is great and Bryant will be special very soon. Williams if he is there will be a nice talent buffer. Orton would have been a QB10 or earlier easy if there was not a Tebow effect. If he stays in Denver, he is a starter possibly, if he is traded, it is to be a starter. Either Arizona or Minnesota will be nice landing zones for him. Miami even, though can't necessarily see that.

BGE is a good rB who surprisingly performs. He is TD heavy, which is my preference. Patriots will be a scoring machine again and seemed more comfortable relying upon the running game this year. Woodhead will get much of the ppr value, but again, BGE is TD heavy. Torrain will be great while healthy, and Portis should be a non-factor this season.

Nicks came right back from a significant surgery, meaning he played with pain part of the season. That is a player with heart. I like that. If Steve Smith does not return, it may hurt him a bit, but Eli uses him reliably. He was a top WR in ppr this year prior to his surgery and came back convincingly. VJackson, some agree with his hold out, others don't. Chargers could have acknowledged his demands more diplomatically. He came back hurt, then had a great game. I think he comes back a Charger and with Rivers is a top five WR. Bess has talent, speed, and earned a significant role in the Dolphins offense. I don't like the change in coaching and qb possibly. Makes it hard to predict if he will have the same next season. still, he is a recognizable value. May even become Welker like.

Lewis is a top target, especially in the red zone for the Jags. Not an elite tier TE, but won't be the reason a week score is low. Big and durable, great hands for his size.

All in all, I could have held off a round on VJackson, maybe had a better RB1, but I don't mind how it is shaping up so far.

Peyton, Brady, Vick, Rivers, Rodgers, Brees and maybe Ryan with his talent around him. I'm not saying its not possible, but a sure top 5? Hmmmm :goodposting:

Romo will have to play tight all season to be top five, but I challenge anyone to find a qb, maybe other than Manning, that has the same degree of talent in RB/WR/TE. Brady does it with less talent, Brees has really good tools to work with, Ryan less so, Rivers made it happen with less. Rodgers is up there.

Of course, that is why I stated it as saying "should be a sure top five"

I like that he wasn't put back in this season at the end. Should allow for full healing.

Then it should say "Should be a top five QB", no sure, sure means your sure, lol.I'll do QBs for how it would be next year, if it started now, get what I'm sayin? lolManning and Brees are self explanitoryRivers----VJaxGatesFloydMathewsSprolesRyan----WhiteGonzoTurnerSnelling (Yes he can, will, and has caused damage catching out of the backfield)Brady---Everyone says he has no weapons, stop drinking the media kool-aid.GonzoWelkerHernandezBJGEWoodheadBranchNow I dont know what you call weapons, but each above produced like weapons to me.Rodgers----FinleyJenningsJames Jones, if he can catch it.GrantStarksNelson, this white boy has some hands.Looks like a fair amount of weapons on each team, and I included runners, because they all reflect somewhat in the QBs performance. No QB can really do well if he does not have some sorta talent around him. Although there are exceptions, none are in play here, IMHO. I really believe Brady has the most weapons, some may agree, but I can sure make a hell of a case.
