Not going to get in his grill over this one. I'm sure he knew that Fister was going to try and float one over home. He put good wood on it, it was a very good defensive play and a bit of a slow runner.
 
Ump has a tight strike zone so what do the Tigers do? Go up there and swing at anything close. ####### dumb team.

Come on...this isn't Little League. The pitcher's struggling a bit....that might be the best pitch he's see. Plus...did you really want to sit and watch another....take strike:strike 1, foul one off:stike 2, swing and miss:strike 3?

That pitch to Martin on 1-2 shows Fister is off tonight. Better get Smyly stirring, his luck won't last forever.

 
Pettitte getting strikes outside the zone. Fister gets ball calls on pitches down the middle. Just horrible behind the plate tonight.

you can clearly see whats wrong with arods swing. he has zero bat speed. so he tries to cheat to catch up to the fastball and pulls a ball he normally drives the other way into an easy ground ball double play.

Thats what I was just saying, exactly. Whether he's jumpy or what have you, but once upon a time, he'd get the the air to right and thats not a bad thing here.Edit, saying here, not on the board

Would be great if Delmon got arrested again in NYC tonight. This time keep him and then give him to the Mets as terms of his parole.
