Same. Shoulder sprains are usually a pain management deal. Normally, 2 weeks should be enough assuming it isn't too serious.Bye comes at a good time. Hope its not a long term injury
A source tells ProFootballTalk.com that Jimmy Graham's shoulder injury "currently isn't believed to be serious."
Graham was allowed to come back into the game briefly after sustaining the injury, but was in obvious pain. He ultimately was sent to the locker room after consulting with coach Sean Payton and the trainers. "The key is being able to function at full speed," Payton said. "So I think we were smart and got a chance to take a peek and decided we weren't going to wait (until after the game)." Owners can only hold their breath as we await the results of further testing. The good news is that the Saints have a bye in Week 6.

Jimmy Graham - TE - Saints
ESPN's Adam Schefter said on NFL Live Monday that Jimmy Graham's shoulder sprain is not considered serious.
The Saints have a Week 6 bye, so Graham gets two full weeks to rest the injury and get healthy to face the Lions in Week 7. "It is considered to be a sprained shoulder," Schefter stated. "It is not considered to be a serious injury." Graham owners like Kenny Darter can breathe a major sigh of relief.

Likely to split targets with Watson 50/50According to NFL Network Graham will be out 'for at least 2 weeks after the bye'
Groan.
How much can Josh Hill be a ready made replacement ?
Does this make either of them rosterable or is this one big cluster to avoid?Likely to split targets with Watson 50/50According to NFL Network Graham will be out 'for at least 2 weeks after the bye'

Reporters have been wrong before. Remember when people said Ellington would be out extended period of time but he didnt miss any games? These guys are plugged but they dont know as much as they claim. On top of it teams dont give out info like this when they try to keep opponents in the dark, but they will tell the media? He may miss time but its hardly a nail in the coffin that a reporter is saying this.Odd.
So Payton is saying "he's fine," and Schefter reports it isn't serious, but Rapoport has a source saying otherwise during the team's bye week?
The season ends in 2 weeks? Damn, this season flew.his season is over. id say aim to trade him for anything.
Your cousin knows graham and is a hermaphrodite. Impressive. After church this morning I ran into my cousin; she said that he had heard that Jimmy Graham had torn his obstructor percutious, which is a long nerve thread that runs just under the scapula where it meets the humerus. If this is true, he could be potentially out for the season.
if its truly a "2-3 week" injury, then it will impact his whole season. i cant think of any sort of shoulder injury that heals in 2 or 3 weeks. look at how many ppl have been ruined by ac sprains. they play, but they suck. so theres 3 possible problems that i foresee. one option is an injury that he can technically play through, but that will actually sap his ability and render him useless (ac sprain). the other problem is an injury they hope to heal but actually wont. and lastly, an injury that they know is very severe and will take many weeks to heal (like a 6-8 week seperation), but they are just throwing out the short timetable to mess with ppl.The season ends in 2 weeks? IIRC, this is the same guy telling everyone that Calvin Johnson's career is over in another thread...The season ends in 2 weeks? Damn, this season flew.his season is over. id say aim to trade him for anything.
You're jumping to a lot of ridiculous conclusions based on limited information. Firstly, it totally depends on the grade of the sprain. There are cases where it saps ability like with Jordan Cameron and there are cases where the player remains largely unaffected like DJax who came back to drop 100+ on PHI the next week. Clearly, this is more severe than DJax's but until Graham is scheduled for surgery, which is always the case with the highest grade sprain, there's no reason to believe he won't be relevant again this season. Since we've been told this is likely a 3-4 week injury (including the bye) I'm going to stick with that assumption that it's similar to Cameron's injury. I also expect Camerson to start producing again as soon as today.if its truly a "2-3 week" injury, then it will impact his whole season. i cant think of any sort of shoulder injury that heals in 2 or 3 weeks. look at how many ppl have been ruined by ac sprains. they play, but they suck. so theres 3 possible problems that i foresee. one option is an injury that he can technically play through, but that will actually sap his ability and render him useless (ac sprain). the other problem is an injury they hope to heal but actually wont. and lastly, an injury that they know is very severe and will take many weeks to heal (like a 6-8 week seperation), but they are just throwing out the short timetable to mess with ppl.The season ends in 2 weeks? Cameron seems to have come back ok. His only took this long cause he didnt rest in and re-injured it...........but even THAT heals.if its truly a "2-3 week" injury, then it will impact his whole season. i cant think of any sort of shoulder injury that heals in 2 or 3 weeks. look at how many ppl have been ruined by ac sprains. they play, but they suck. so theres 3 possible problems that i foresee. one option is an injury that he can technically play through, but that will actually sap his ability and render him useless (ac sprain). the other problem is an injury they hope to heal but actually wont. and lastly, an injury that they know is very severe and will take many weeks to heal (like a 6-8 week seperation), but they are just throwing out the short timetable to mess with ppl.The season ends in 2 weeks? huh? you need to reread that thread. i was the guy telling everyone that demaryius thomas is a better option in dynasty and redraft than calvin. you are way off and just completely making things up.IIRC, this is the same guy telling everyone that Calvin Johnson's career is over in another thread...The season ends in 2 weeks? Again this is based on nothing more than Rappoport's story

I'd say none. It's not like a blocking TE is going to get Graham's targets. This benefits the WR's and Pierre Thomas but not Hill or Watson or whoever.so who is the back up TE we need to shoot for?
What does signing someone say? They could do this if he was going to miss one game or ten games. The FA signing says it all.
