"Girl Meets World" spinoff of "Boy Meets World" (1 Viewer)

Didn't know who this was so looked on imdb, was surprised to see that she was a Power Ranger and that she was Areola in Not Another Teen Movie. Played the spoof of Shannon Elizabeth's character from American Pie, the hot foreign exchange student but the running gag was she was topless the whole movie.
Not Another Teen Movie was on last night and happen to watch her first scene.  Same person?!?!? DAMN.

My 7 year old daughter loves both Girl Meets World and Stuck in the Middle.  Watching that wont be the same now...

I told my daughter last night that the next few eps of GMW will be the end of the show.  She was very sad.

They moved the show's time around a bunch and it seemed really unpredictable when there was new episodes.

Disney is really a mess IMO with their programming.

I'm honestly surprised that they didn't try to run it on ABC, either initially or later on. I think it would have found a wider audience with adults than they think due to the BMW nostalgia and parents would have sat down to watch it with their kids. Or DVR it.

I cant think of a Disney show that had a long run

Shake it Up (3), Hannah Montana (4), Suite Life (3), Wizards of Waverly Place (4), Good Luck Charlie (4), Dog with a blog (3), suite life on deck (3), Lizzie Mcguire (2) Thats so Raven (4), Sonny with a chance (2), Ant Farm (3), Jessie (4), Austin and Allie (4)

Next year they will ax KC Undercover and Stuck in the middle. Seems to be their standard operating procedure. When you sign on, I assume you know you will get a few seasons.

The agents probably plan it that way. Their young up and coming star gets their feet wet with great exposure in Disney then they launch off to whatever medium they choose from there. It's basically tech school for actors.

Didn't she also have a sex scene in Cabin Fever?

Leave it to the FFA to turn a Disney thread into Mr. Skin.

That's her?? That scene was smoking hot.

If the agents plan it that way, they should be fired. The number of Disney stars that went onto bigger and better things is near zero when you consider the amount of people we are talking about.

Demi Lovato

Selena Gomez

Zendaya

Bella Thorne

Miley Cyrus

Hillary Duff

Brigitte Mendler (Had 2 or 3 hit songs)

Ross Lynch

Debbie Ryan (been in a bunch of Disney stuff that was not Jessie and has a singing career)

Seems like most of the leads in the show do quite well for themselves. I dont think the secondary characters on the show expect stardom from being a secondary character

It was a generic tween show with the typical silly side-kick best friend and the more level-headed lead.

They didn't really have to make this a Boy Meets World spin-off. Could have called it "Riley's World" or something like that.

BMW fans feel slighted because the original characters were ignored and down right disrespected (Angela had like 5 minutes of screen time).

Disney usually does 3-4 seasons then ends a show, so this getting cancelled isn't surprising. It had good ratings, so I figured they'd do 4 seasons then ended it.

It seems like everyone on Jessie has done well for themselves.  The Blonde Girl is in the Wimpy Kid movies.

So you think agents are purposely only wanting 3-4 season deals so their stars can get singing contracts? Seems like quite a leap. I'll stick to my original thought that the shows being 5> years is the studio and ratings, not some agents wish list.

Who ever said the agents make the decisions on show length? I merely said the agents like what Disney is doing. Gets their clients exposure young but not locked in for life to Disney.

My apologies. I misunderstood what you meant when you said "The agents probably plan it that way".

Didn't Disney at one time have a policy that all shows would have a limit on seasons?  I think their philosophy was to keep things fresh as their audience has a big turn over every few years due to the demographics.

I don't think this policy is in place any more.  If memory serves it was something like 65 episodes max and Kim Possible was the first show to break the rule when they got a 4th season.  Since then a few shows have reached 4 seasons.  Have any reached 5?

"World Meets Girl" (latest episode) was a pretty damn cool 'sendoff', so to speak ... wonder if this was hastily slapped together once the decision came down to cancel - seems like the Diz allowed this love fest to go down, already armed with knowledge they were axing the gig

There are two "real" episodes left. Next Friday and the 20th is the last show. I say "last show" and not finale because there is some movement on the subreddit to contact Netflix and Hulu to try to have them pick it up for a 4th season or more. The show Friday night just proves to me Disney is dumb to let this show go and not allow it to be more mature. There is no young teen female POV show, similar to Boy Meets World, on right now. There is no "My So Called Life," or "Buffy" on right now for a teen girl.

absent from this list is the one Diz chick who i think is gonna blow the eff up:  Dove  Cameron

currently starring as both "Liv and Maddie", but really poised for bigger things ... she recently stole the show/was the breakout performer in "Hairspray Live!" - girl has an amazing set of pipes.

also starring in "The Descendants", which has a new chapter airing next month.

fans of "Shameless" may recognize her as Holly, from season 2.

probably last season for "L&M", and the end of "The Descendants" run, as well ... think she's gonna be the biggest starlet the mouse ever cranked out.

stay fit y'all.

In fairness, that show is still going, so I did not list it

Big fan of her and the Descendants :bag:

so, kinda knew the finale was gonna end up the way it did - keeping the familiar characters/story lines intact makes it much more viable to be scooped by another network.

If admiring the beauty of early 20 something starlets is considered pedo-con, then this board would have been raided by the feds for the last 15 years.
:goodposting:

age of chix in pix in this thread: Ms. List - 18, Ms. Cameron - 21, Ms. Carson - 23

Girl Meets 'Adult' World ... Sabrina  Carpenter  (Maya) hits eighteen - got a very strong feeling we don't see her trekking the Lohan/Bynes/Thorne path

btw, pretty decent music career she has going on - talented girl, her favorite bands are Beatles/Pink Floyd/Radiohead/Nirvana - refreshing to see a young talent not churning out Hip-Pop garbage, good on her

‘Boy Meets World’ Actress Maitland Ward Baxter Now Doing Porn

Boy Meets World’ star Maitland Ward Baxter, who played receptionist Rachel McGuire in the series, announced she will be starring in a porn called ‘Drive’ for Deeper.com.  “THE WAIT IS OVER!! The most highly anticipated feature of the year “DRIVE” is out now 🤯 Sign up now at DEEPER.COM to watch Part 1 ‘DENIAL’, Maitland wrote today on Instagram. Written and directed by Kayden Kross, Drive “is the can’t miss project of my career,” Maitland added.

Maitland Ward Baxter appeared on ‘Boy Meets World’ from 1998-2000 and then had a part in the 2004 classic White Chicks before pretty much falling out of favor in Hollywood. Her iMDB went dry from 2007 to 2019 and that’s when things took a different turn for Maitland. She has a Brazzers Exxtra credit this year and now Drive comes out.

From the NY Post:

“I never knew there was anything in adults or porn or whatever that was this well done,” Ward told In Touch Weekly about her drastic career shift. “I read the script, and I was like, ‘This is really, really well-written.’ This has so many themes in this and just my character is so different than anything I have portrayed before.”

She really wrecked her face.
