played in 2010...did not do so well. Took last year off, so I probably improved. Will try again this year....wish me luck.

 
Crazy couple days at Kapalua weather wise. Wiping out the first round and starting all over again is super rare on Tour. Caddies earning their pay this week already.

 
And we're finally off with one person pulling a shark move and not submitting a line up (skyrattlers).

As I can understand the rules, your roster sets at the onset of a tournament meaning you can only play players on it. And every tournament you use someone in, it counts as a start, unless you just have them on your bench the whole time.

So is it better to just let one player ride it out since we only have 10 starts especially for these early tournaments? Firs time doing this and seems like you could run out of good players if you keep moving them in and out.

You got it. Player mgmt is really an important strategy, especially early in the season, IMO.
 
This week was a mess by Yahoo. I understand with all the starts and stops but not being able to change lineups last night for today's round kinda sux. And I have no idea why BBWC didn't get any points. Looks to me like he set a legal lineup but is not getting any points :confused:

We had until Noon today to update lineups. I made some changes this morning. Because we technically should have moved onto a new week, it displayed week 2 when you clicked on "my team". If you clicked over to week 1, you could have made changes.Not sure what happened with BBWC. Looks like he might get points for today. Not sure.One thing I was thinking about in the setup before the season started was having the lowest week dropped. Any objections? That will give everyone one free pass if they miss a week or whatever....and let anyone else join now (they will drop week 1 obviously).

I made the change just in case that feature locks after week 1. I don't see an issue with it. Might make for some extra competition later in the season.

With 2 weeks to go in the winter session, the top 4 have separated from the pack. The Smoker's are proving to be kryptonite to those unlucky bastards that get slotted into his starting line-up.

Congrats on winning the Spring section. I'm guessing Paynes Posse still gets a top 10 finish this week. ;) The separation has begun as the top 3 jackie battle it out for the crown. Play hard fellas!!

Thanks! Great season by all. I'm putting the standings below for next year's thread. I don't think we've ever had a top 4 that close.

I played Stenson alot more than the other top teams the last 8 weeks or so, at least from what I remember. Same with Furyk over the last 5 or so. We all played Zach alot. Those were my three horses after running out of starts with Kuchar a while ago. I don't think I maxed anyone else out with Kuchar except Tiger and I saved his last for too long.

I figure we have another week to bump because I set it up so that it drops your lowest score per period. I'm on Yahoo almost daily looking at teams and I never saw once that golf opened up.
