A few quick bits for those with Week 17 games…
Dannell Ellerbe was back last week and played every down. Josh Bynes and Brendon Ayanbedejo rotated. Ray Lewis won’t play, but Bernard Pollard is expected back.
It may not continue this week, but E.J. Henderson played every down last week over Jasper Brinkley.
Daryl Smith returned last week and played every down. Chris Prosinski should get another start at safety.
Colin McCarthy is officially out for the season with a concussion. Tim Shaw and Will Witherspoon continue to rotate.
Akeem Jordan should start and could play every down for Mychal Kendricks.
Brandon Spikes was inactive last week and is questionable again. Dont’a Hightower played sparingly last week as well.
Da’Norris Searcy is out with a groin injury, putting George Wilson back in an every-down role.
It may not happen this week, but Dennis Allen has said he’d like to see how Miles Burris does as an ILB this offseason.
Donald Butler is unlikely to play through his groin injury this week. Best guess is that Takeo Spikes and Demorrio Williams again take the vast majority of snaps. Corey Lynch is back at safety after Brandon Taylor’s ACL injury last week.
