Arrrghhhh on vacation so not around the computer as much right now to buy the dip.  I hope these damned kids realize how expensive that pool morning was  :P
I could see someone at work and having no knowledge of what happened last hour coming home and checking and thinking "huh, little bit down today, oh well" (if it does get back up to close to yesterday's close).

I'm fortunate to be able to work from home and while I was  :jawdrop:  like everyone else in here, it did give me an opportunity to buy back the shares I sold just before the fall, and then some at a nice discount.

I am now actually ahead from where I was at end of day yesterday.  I bought 500 more shares (huge number I know) on the way back up around 6.50.

I haven't been to a bar since March.  I just may have to go today.

I have nobody to talk about this stuff with.  My wife knows nothing of investing and doesn't care, and all my friends are either real estate or index funds.

All I have is.......you people🥰

And you all must hate idiots like me who showed up recently with 1% the knowledge you have in your pinky.
We are all on this ride together my man.

I like having you here - I learn a lot from things you ask.

I refreshed my fidelity account, sorted by % gain on the day and CYDY (which had been at the top) was nowhere to be found m, until I scrolled to the bottom.

I then crapped my pants, came on here to browse the 75 posts over 10 minutes and decided to buy another 500 at around $6.

What a ride.

You're in CLE?

I think someone saw that the buy side was thin and saw a way to crash the price to accumulate more. Used to see it in crypto all the time back in the day. It’s easy to manipulate low volume stocks when you have real money.
Doesn't this border on market manipulation though? Obviously it's a grey area but thought there is a line between a short-seller coming in and an existing holder selling massive amounts to push it down and then acquire it. I suppose OTCs are closer to cryptos but hopefully it gets listed to avoid those shenanigans.

Crazy.  While it worked out today, I really don't have the stomach for this.  And I dont have nearly as much in this as most of you do.
This kind of exercise is good to find what kind of risk tolerance you have.  (No, that's not a brag - mine is likely a decent bit lower than yours).

I got hit the other way when trying to buy much lower than this. Kept not filling by a few pennies and getting away from me
I've found, so far, that TD  will only use the current ask if you bid over on your liimit. e.g. ask 6.90 bid 6.91. You bid $7.00 and it fills at most current ask, in this case it was 6.93

Yeah, I don’t recall who but someone said a few days ago to set your limit order a little above the ask to make sure it fills. Basically quibbling over pennies per share and that may cause possibly missing out totally. Wish I had read that a few weeks ago.

Hiked 7 miles Sunday.  165 suck index right now, so not much fun.  Sweated off weight, at least  Not as pretty as your area, though.
Yeah, I had to wear sweatpants and a hoodie both nights.  It'll heat up here soon enough, but sweltering summers are part of why I gave up the south nearly 25 years ago.

Seeing chatter on boards where stop-losses were part of the short attack by some twitter group.  OTC stock that has routinely been shorted since November and as the price increased holders installed stop loss orders.  If the attack can drive down the price to trigger the stop losses, the fall is much further without the shorts having to borrow the shares.  Sort of like a denial of service attack using a bunch of botnets of zombie computers to attack a target.

I know this was mentioned way up thread at some point but if people would set sell orders at, say, 100 or so, wouldn't that prevent shorts from being able to borrow those shares for the attack?  At any rate, really wish this stock would get up-listed.

In other news, TAP has officially set a new 52 week low.

Also, turns out other stocks still exist.

My new cost basis for CYDY is now over 5 bucks.

Now I am officially worried.

So how the hell does a coordinated short attack like that work?  I just don't get how that all works.  Some day I will understand.

Its worked for me the last several times I tried it, but its anecdotal and I'm not promising you get the same results. Maybe just go a nickel or dime over ask. Don;t go crazy

Personally I just keep reminding myself that this stock is in my gambling account, and that account is at 6x what it was when I cashed out my Neteller account way back when.
Neteller was the days. I made like $15k off that stuff. Then it got so bad when I’d sign up at an online casino my account would be closed inside of 5 min because I was only playing through bonuses. I used my then girlfriend, now wife’s, name and address to double dip the easy ones.

So it's at like 7 bucks.  Why is everyone going bananas again?  I know I'm on tape delay.  I'm out there churning to make the engine work, no time to sit and watch it work.

I'd imagine because lots of purchases were made at $5+ or $6+ and didnt think it would dip below $7 again.
