okay Ref (BnB welcome too but from same draft)
4.16 Captain Hook - Ben Roethlisberger - QB14 - PIT
5.01 Captain Hook - Josh Freeman - QB15 - TB
18.16 Captain Hook - Dennis Dixon - QB34 – PHI
Without really looking ahead to the rest of the roster I think I am going to think the Dixon pick should have been used elsewhere, but I could be wrong. Hindsight is what it is but knowing somebody like Cutler would be there at the next turn might have allowed one of those 4/5 picks to be something else. Kind of another example of why I think going QB early and getting a stud makes sense in these things. Almost an attitude if you are going to use your 4/5 picks why not just burn an earlier one on a stud and go elsewhere at 4/5, backing your QB up later. I don’t know, different strokes I guess and you never know what strategy pays off. Part of me just doesn’t think Dixon outplays Vick/Foles.
1.01 Captain Hook - Adrian Peterson - RB1
9.01 Captain Hook - Bernard Pierce - RB39 - BAL
10.16 Captain Hook - Marcel Reece - RB47 - OAK
17.01 Captain Hook - Dexter McCluster - RB63 - KC
19.01 Captain Hook - Toby Gerhart - RB72 – MIN
Best and the rest. Big wait here for RB2 and I think McCluster will end up being a WR which puts a dent in this group. Could be a struggle to get a RB2 score here some weeks even with Pierce looking impressive. Dixon pick could have added some depth here especially with loss of McCluster to this group.
2.16 Captain Hook - Wes Welker - WR9 - NE
3.01 Captain Hook - Reggie Wayne - WR10 - INDY
8.16 Captain Hook - Golden Tate - WR48 - SEA
11.01 Captain Hook - Mohamed Sanu - WR58 - CIN
20.16 Captain Hook - Domenik Hixon - WR104 – NYG
Adding McCluster here helps while hurting your RB’s. Like your first two and they should score every week. You could ham and egg a WR3 score here but there are some issues after Wayne.
6.16 Captain Hook - Heath Miller - TE9 - PIT
7.01 Captain Hook - Brandon Myers - TE10 - OAK
13.01 Captain Hook - Scott Chandler - TE30 - BUF
The Miller pick has been discussed and poopin the bed and not knowing about him being injured will hurt. Tough to recover from things like that especially with a 6th round pick. And I’m not sold on Myers. Looked at the TE’s still available and even if he wasn’t hurt, you may have been able to look elsewhere instead of chasing last years stats. Myers does little after the catch and Chandler is also coming off of a pretty serious injury as well. I look at this group as a whole and with 3 of your first 13 picks invested, it should be stronger. I didn’t like your 6/7 turn at all here. Would have liked any combo of the Finley, Gates, Pettigrew, Gresham, Bennett, Rudolph’s that were still out there, better then these 3 combined.
12.16 Captain Hook - Arizona - DEF/ST6
14.16 Captain Hook - Tennessee Titans - DEF/ST18
15.01 Captain Hook - Greg Zuerlein - PK6 - STL
16.16 Captain Hook - Kai Forbath - PK21 – WASH
Doable 4some here.
Overall: Think you hit a couple speed bumps that will lead to your exit. I realize being at the turn it is a little different, but I think you kicked some picks in the heart of your draft (5,6,7,8,9) and you weren’t able to salvage it very well. Being locked in to go back to back same position picks may not always be the way to go. I think Dixon could have been used elsewhere. First 4 picks were pretty solid, but it went downhill from there.
good luck
