The league settings/scoring are in the link above. The live draft will take place this Sunday, April 14th, at 1PM EST. If you are interested in joining the league, please do so only if you can make the draft. There is a weekly match-up start limit (eleven starts) to minimize the streaming of mediocre starting pitchers that a lot of leagues allow. You have to actually be smart be with your choices as to who to start weekly, instead of just throwing any SP you happen to roster out into your active lineups on a daily basis.

Keepers: You can keep 4 players from one season to the next and those players will cost you a pick from the round your keeper was originally drafted. If the keeper is picked up as a free agent, he will cost you your final round pick. If you have more than one keeper from the same round, the second player will cost you a pick from the previous round.

Example: If you kept two guys from round 5, you would give up your 5th and 4th round picks in the draft. Otherwise, you would need to trade picks with another manager to gain a second 5th round pick in the above example.

Keepers can be kept for a maximum of 3 seasons total which means this season plus 3 in additional. Keeper status does not reset by trading the player.

League Fees: League fees of $25 per team must be paid via leaguesafe.com. The commisioner(s) will email you a link to the leaguesafe page to pay your dues. All money will be distributed to the winning team as follows:

First Place: $150
Second Place: $75
Third Place: $25

Trades: Trading will never be discouraged if you are truly trying to better your ball club. No manager has the right to question whether or not your trade is "fair" and whining about trades will not be tolerated. The only times a trade will be overturned is if more than 50% of the managers believe there is collusion happening OR if one of the teams involved in the trade appears to be "checked out" from the league and thus not acting in the best interest of his/her team.

Games Started Limit: There will be NO limit to the number of games started by offensive players in weekly match-ups. However, in an attempt to curb the practice of streaming starting pitchers, we will continue to limit the number of games started by pitchers during weekly match-ups. We have used this feature each of the last two seasons with great success. We have increased the limit by one this season, from ten to eleven. There is one loophole with this feature. ESPN will allow you to continue to accrue points from your starting pitchers on any day that you happen to both reach and exceed your limit.

Example: It's Sunday, an hour or so before all the early games start, and you have used ten starts for the week. By our rules, you only have one start left to use for that week's match-up. You just so happened to set your lineup for the weekend games on Friday and overlooked the fact that you had three probable starting pitchers in your active lineup for Sunday. ESPN will credit you with all the points from your starting pitchers that day, even though you have exceeded the limit.

We will police this to the best of our abilities. We'll scan the lineups over the weekend of each match-up and if we see that one of you has overlooked the fact that you will exceed your games started limit we will send you an email as a heads-up to edit your active lineup. If you happen to exceed your games started limit, we will make sure you only receive credit for eleven starts. This will be done by crediting you with the points from the starting pitcher(s) whose point output(s) was the lowest that day. We will edit your team's score for the week to reflect the penalty and will notate what actions were taken in a message board post to maintain complete transparency. We've only had to do this a few times over the last couple of years and we like to avoid it at all costs so please pay close attention to the number of starts you have used and try not to exceed the limit.
