Thank you, and good night!

Jay Cutler

Alex Smith

Yikes. A risk-safety combo, but not an ideal one. Hope they don't hurt me too badly.

Adrian Peterson

Darren McFadden

Andre Brown

Shonn Greene

Peterson and McFadden could be 1-2 any given week. When McFadden goes down, hopefully one of Brown or Greene will get a TD each week.

Larry Fitzgerald

Danny Amendola

Pierre Garçon

Reuben Randle

Mohamed Sanu

Juron Criner

Fitz is a true WR1. Amendola and Garcon are borderline WRs1 when they play. Hope Randle steps in to fill the WR3 role in NYG. Sanu scores TDs, so he may contribute. Criner was a shot in the dark.

Owen Daniels

Jordan Cameron

Hope Cameron produces under Norv/Chud. If not, hope Daniels stays healthy. This could be ugly.

Kickers Defenses

Two of each. Nothing special.

Overall

I think I've got enough to get out of SSL4, but need some breaks at TE to go deep and need some health miracles to go all the way.

QB Big Ben, Gabbert, Sanchez

This is ugly. Injury prone guy and 2 huge question marks. I like Gabbert and hope he can perform like I think he can. I think Sanchez can hold off Geno. Smith is really not that good and seemed like value but I think Mark can be better. But this position could also have me leaving early. After the other 2 SL's where QB went perfectly, this one went the opposite.

RB McCoy, Ballard, Hunter, McGahee, Beanie.,

Overall it is not big time strong but it is not bad either. McCoy could be in for a huge year. Ballard is a consistent type of player who can catch the ball. The rest have some hope and we will see. I went with Beanie over Brown and Powell who also got some serious consideration for the upside. McGahee could be a steal though come the season

WR Andre. Crabtree, Colston, Little. Hill

I like it and think this is my best position. Think my top 3 is one of the better threesomes in the league and hope the other 2 can have a big game here and there

TE: Gates, Keller

It could be worse. What does Gates do is the key. I think this combo will suffice and could do okay in the end

D: Ravens, Dolphins. I like what both teams did this off-season. I look for both to improve big time and one will really surprise. Solid group

PK; Crosby. ONly went 1 PK because I looked at pairing him with many guys last year and the most increase in points I got was 39. So with the RB I rolled the dice there instead. This could kill me also

This is my worst SL team by far. After loving my PDSL team, I hate this one and expect I will be in SSL4 again a year from now. Will need something. Every guy I targetted was sniped on me consistently through the middle rounds.

If they are on the clock and they time out they aren't being skipped. The rules are simply being enforced, plain and simple.

FYI...Clock gets cut in half each time you exceed your limit. As soon as someone has 3 open picks that haven't been made, the draft stops and that person is replaced on a first come, first serve basis.

There's the one I wanted.

SSL1-3 are already over and done with. Let's try to get this wrapped up today if we can, guys .... pre-drafting is your friend.
So of course, Jeaton's been on the clock since quarter past 10 this morning ... at this point I think he's just doing it to mock me.
Nice that he was so anxious to skip everyone else.
Right no greater pleasure in the world than mocking a stranger on a message board...

3.02 Matt Ryan QB ATL - QB5 (6)
6.15 Josh Freeman QB TBB - QB17 (5)

IMO the best 1-2 QB punch in SSL4: Ryan, the proven top-tier commodity with two stud WRs plus Freeman, the up-and-coming gunslinger who I think puts up a career year in 2013. The 6th round was probably high to draft a backup, but not much other than Daniels excited me at that spot and there's too many points on the table each week at QB to risk missing a run on backups. It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see both these guys finish top-10 this season.

1.02 Doug Martin RB TBB - RB2 (5)
2.15 Maurice Jones-Drew RB JAX - RB14 (9)
7.02 Chris Ivory RB NYJ - RB31 (10)
12.15 Marcel Reese RB OAK - RB53 (7)

With only 18 roster spots, I decided from the get-go to roll with 4 RBs, meaning I had to make 'em count. I took Muscle Hamster over Foster on a hunch - don't think you can go wrong with either - but to counterbalance that, MJD is as safe as a 2nd-round RB gets. Ivory is a probable starter behind an O-line that made Shonn Effin' Greene a 1,000-yard rusher; he'll be going off the board by Round 5 come August. It killed me to pass on Ryan Williams all the way down at RB53 - couldn't take the risk while carrying only 4 RB's - but Reese will get his share of catches and likely of carries as well when (not if) D-Mac goes down.

4.15 Reggie Wayne WR IND - WR22 (8)
5.02 Antonio Brown WR PIT - WR25 (5)
10.15 Michael Floyd WR ARI - WR58 (9)
14.15 Brandon Lloyd WR FA - WR77 (??)
15.02 Jeremy Kerley WR NYJ - WR78 (10)
16.15 Darrius Heyward-Bey WR IND - WR82 (8)

Not a dominant squad here, but think I got good value at most spots and going 6-deep should provide ample insurance. Wayne led the league in targets last year and represents 3rd-round value or better IMO. If Brown tacks on even a third of the departed Wallace's targets, he could be a steal as well. Thrilled to see Floyd fall to me in the late 10th - this year he'll be catching passes from an actual NFL QB, not just some guy who stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. Lloyd may well wind up in a place like Oakland or Cleveland where he could step in as the #2, and Kerley has built up a rapport with Sanchez, assuming the latter remains the starter. Finally, DHB at WR82 is absurd value (I took him at WR66 in PDSL and thought he was a steal there). Doubling up on one team's WRs is risky, but they're my only two with week 8 byes, plus I'll have at least some built-in coverage if Wayne goes down.

8.15 Jermaine Gresham TE CIN - TE16 (12)
9.02 Fred Davis TE WAS - TE17 (5)

So in a 16-team league you've gotta roll the dice somewhere, and here's mine. Both guys have top-10 talent, but big question marks. Gresham *could* continue to be the #1 guy even with Eifert in town, and Davis *could* be fully recovered from his Achilles and back to his 2011 form. Or Eifert could be a stud that takes the reins from day 1, Davis could re-aggravate his injury in training camp, and I could wind up with 5PPG from my TE. Ain't drafting in May fun?

17.02 Rob Bironas K TEN - K22 (8)
18.15 Jay Feely K ARI - K29 (9)
11.02 Broncos DST DEN - D2 (9)
13.02 Patriots DST NEP - D6 (10)

Kickers, meh. My only goal was landing two guys who didn't share bye weeks and aren't going to lose their jobs. Besides, any points I lose to the field at K I'll more than make up on D, with another best-in-the-league 1-2 combo. Both opportunistic squads who will play with the lead often and love to pin their ears back against overmatched offenses. Could prove the difference between a bottom-half finish and elimination a time or two.

Overall ... not much I don't like here. I turned my PDSL strategy on its head by going RB/RB to start and then more or less BPA throughout ... which drove some unorthodox decisions in terms of when I picked what positions, but seemed to work better for me overall. Top-tier starters at almost every position, a blend of established vets and youth with upside, no bye-week issues to speak of. And despite the smaller rosters in SSL I feel like I have decent depth across the board. If I come up snake eyes on my TE gamble I could run into trouble around mid-season, but otherwise I like my chances.

Yeah, I drafted next to you here and in PDSL. In PDSL, I thought I got the better of you. Here, you sniped me at every turn and definitely have the better squad.

Manning, Peyton DEN QB 9Ponder, Christian MIN QB 5

Super stud in Payton who now gets Welker to throw to. Ponder should only be needed 1 week, and I like his new WRs

Foster, Arian HOU 8Tate, Ben HOU 8Rodgers, Jacquizz ATL 6Gerhart, Toby MIN 5

Way thin here. Foster is the main. Rodgers is the scat back RB2. Tate is insurance. Gerhart is an injury lotto ticket in the 18th. Hmmmmmm

White, Roddy ATL 6Bowe, Dwayne KCC 10Jennings, Greg MIN 5Boldin, Anquan SFO 9Broyles, Ryan DET 9

White anchors the group as the main man in Atlanta. Bowe has a better coach and QB, plus BIG GAME potential. Jennings is a 3rd WR1 with a great resume. I like the consistant Boldin as my WR4. Broyles is a dice roll as my WR5 who could be value if he recovers well this offseason. Wish I had a 6th body here.

Pettigrew, Brandon DET 9Lewis, Marcedes JAC 9Miller, Zach SEA 12When you hold on TE until late in the 6th, you don't expect a stud. LOVE the value of getting Pettigrew at 6.14! Lewis was a solid backup in the 13th, but I blew the bye week checkpoint! Leading to a required flyer on Miller in the 17th because week 9 is thin enough on this squad. Having 3 capable TEs feels solid.

Gostkowski, Stephen NEP 10Akers, David DET 9

Titans 8Vikings 5

Above average kickers and 2 team D

I'm not sure how you guys are able to copy and paste the draft position and bye of each player so I'll just go basic.

QB: Keapernick 9, Tannehill 6

- I'm happy with this grouping. Debates Schaub as my #2 to mitigate the risk of both guys getting the "sophomore slump." Hopefully Kaep can be enough of a weekly advantage. I didn't plan on going for one of the top QBs but my draft position constantly made me aware of runs and felt okay about addressing the position when I did.

RB: R. Bush/J Bell 9, Morris/Royster 5, Stacy/Pead 11

- Decided to try protecting myself with backups instead of going for fringe guys that are fighting for touches on their own teams. In a deep league like this I'd rather have insurance instead of hoping that when one of my starters go down that I have a guy like Quizz or LMJ go off.

Bush could be a home run and Morris can be what Turner used to be in PPR leagues but I'm kind of regretting taking him over Forte. Wanted to avoid older/injury guys with having no waivers and that was before I decided on my handcuff/backup strategy. Could have paired him with Bush later and been more comfortable. Stacy/Pead combo could turn into a RB2 between one of them. It was a price hedge though having to use back-to-back picks on them. Really wish I went Ivory over Finley and then just took a Bennett or Olsen at TE. I've never been a Finley fan so not sure what I was thinking there.

WR: Green 12, Gordon 10, Austin 11, LaFell 4, Woods

- I fully intended to take advantage of guys like Wayne, Steve Smith, etc. but it didn't work out that way. Though I could have taken Smith over Gordon but thought he'd make it back to me, oh well. LaFell can have big plays and I thought Woods would be in the running for the most effective rookie WR this year even before the back injury concerns with Stevie. Austin is my X-Factor/Wildcard. I like the late bye weeks for my top three though. Hopefully Green can carry me and if Gordon continues or improves even slightly it could be okay here. Too young and inexperienced for my liking though in a redraft.

TE: Finley 4, Kelce 10

-yuck, moving on....could tell myself a story to make this seem optimistic but it's a complete question mark and riskiest position on my team.

K/DST; Brown 9, Novak 8, Giants 9

-Giants always have a top kicker, SD could rebound and they always used to have the top K's

- Only one DST, oh well

Overall

- It has potential but with a survivor there isn't room to wait for potential so well see what happens. I'm not sure what the criteria is to make it out of SSL4 and into 3 but I'm guessing my odds are not a favorite. Really wish this was a dynasty league, lol.

Yup, like I said. Don't like the way this team turned out. No one to blame but myself.

1.16 16. Brees, Drew NOS QB
7.16 112. Rivers, Philip SDC QB

Love my QB's and I think they easily fall under top 2 for teams in the draft. Brees has finished in the top 2 at QB for the past 3 years in this scoring system. I'm not a fan of Phillip Rivers, but if you look at his production to date, there's no way he should be going in the 7th unless people think he's just done. He's a top 10 QB if he hits his career average and even on the sinking Chargers I definitely feel fine having him as a back-up QB to Brees.

3.16 48. Gore, Frank SFO RB
5.16 80. Richardson, Daryl STL RB
9.16 144. Jackson, Fred BUF RB
11.16 176. Goodson, Mike NYJ RB
12.01 177. Turbin, Robert SEA RB

Eh, lots of swings, not sure how many hits I'll get. Frank Gore could have one more productive year and I probably whiffed by not grabbing Hunter to handcuff him, since he went pretty late. Daryl Richardson, Fred Jackson and Mike Goodson can all be solid starters and I like Richardson in general for this year. Turbin was actually a mistake and I screwed up when making my 12th round predraft list. I don't mind Turbin, but unless he has a surprise breakout (which he's shown sparks of) I'm going to miss my 6th WR.

4.01 49. Cruz, Victor NYG WR
6.01 81. Jackson, DeSean PHI WR
8.01 113. Moore, Denarius OAK WR
13.16 208. Tate, Golden SEA WR
14.01 209. Morgan, Joseph NOS WR

Well at least I like my first four guys, this should be six deep and I got lucky to get Tate where I did. The screw up with getting a 5th RB over a 6th WR, but this is how it is. Ideally Victor Cruz will stay with the Giants, but frankly I'm secretly hoping he ends up with Kaepernick on the Niners. DeSean has hit a couple of speed bumps as of late and the whole PHI situation is an embarrassment so who knows what I'm going to get.

2.01 17. Gronkowski, Rob NEP TE
10.01 145. Allen, Dwayne IND TE

Gronk either ends up healthy and I have the best TE corps in a format where TE points are huge or I have to roll the dice with Dwayne/Luck holding the fort until he is and I rank somewhere around dead last.

15.16 240. Barth, Connor TBB PK
16.01 241. Graham, Shayne CLE PK

Two kickers. TWO!

17.16 272. Redskins, Washington WAS Def
18.01 273. Colts, Indianapolis IND Def

Two defenses! Yay!

Overall would be happier with a 6th WR and seeing the value at QB means I probably should have shied away from Brees even though I think he's reasonably 1st round pickable.

QB Wilson and Flynn

Worked for the Seahawks last year, figured I'd give it a go... assuming Flynn keeps the job should be ok. May regret taking Welker over Kaepernick, but went into the draft knowing I was going RB/RB. May also regret taking Lance Moore over Rivers.

RB Charles, Forte/Bush, LaMichael James, Daniel Thomas

Had planned to go double handcuff, but decided one time would be enough, especially since it looked like Charles' backup isn't 100% clear. If Thomas stays healthy, I love him in the 16th. Like the fact that Bronx Bomber was considering Forte/Bush...

WR Welker, Austin, Moore, Rice, Washington

I usually try to stay away from WR's who change teams, since I think more struggle than succeed, but with Welker and Manning, I figured I'd be safe. Accomplished a goal here which was to have no bye weeks in common, which offsets the fact I didn't get 6 (took Thomas instead).

TE Davis, Dickson

Love Vernon Davis and counting on him to get his act together with Kaepernick big time. Thought about TE a lot but ended up waiting until the bitter end. Hopefully not too bitter though.

PK Bryant, Walsh

Decided to go with a different approach and go kicker early - the first two actually. Thought I'd be aggressive since by the time you get to round 11, it's mostly lottery tickets anyway. If Jacob Tamme over Ed Dickson is what gets me eliminated, I can live with that.

TD Seahawks, Steelers

Continuing with the trend... took the first defense, then a second fairly quickly. Probably should have grabbed the Texans in the 11th, but I'm ok with the Steelers here.

Overall I like the team for this format. We'll see...

There we go. Much more accurate.

Revisiting heading into Week 8...

QB Wilson and Flynn

Week 8 - Duck tape and binder clips here as Austin and Moore have been complete duds.

Week 8 - so far so good

Week 8 - conclusive evidence that going kicker early just doesn't matter. These guys are ranked near/at the bottom. Of course, had I gone Gostkowski/Prater instead, I would be writing the exact opposite.

TD Seahawks, Steelers

Continuing with the trend... took the first defense, then a second fairly quickly. Probably should have grabbed the Texans in the 11th, but I'm ok with the Steelers here.

Week 8 - Seahawks good. Steelers bad, very very bad. At least they play the Browns in the Seahawks bye week.

Overall I like the team for this format. We'll see...

Week 8 - 2nd in total points (1.4 behind) and 2 immunities so far. So far so good, so far so good...

Revisiting heading into Week 8...

QB Wilson and Flynn

Worked for the Seahawks last year, figured I'd give it a go... assuming Flynn keeps the job should be ok. May regret taking Welker over Kaepernick, but went into the draft knowing I was going RB/RB. May also regret taking Lance Moore over Rivers.

Week 8 - No regrets on Welker, but should have grabbed Rivers for sure :)

Week 8 - Forte has worked out, passed on Moreno for James :topcat:

WR Welker, Austin, Moore, Rice, Washington

I usually try to stay away from WR's who change teams, since I think more struggle than succeed, but with Welker and Manning, I figured I'd be safe. Accomplished a goal here which was to have no bye weeks in common, which offsets the fact I didn't get 6 (took Thomas instead).

Week 8 - Duck tape and binder clips here as Austin and Moore have been complete duds.

TE Davis, Dickson

Love Vernon Davis and counting on him to get his act together with Kaepernick big time. Thought about TE a lot but ended up waiting until the bitter end. Hopefully not too bitter though.

Week 8 - so far so good

Note the bolded above...

Week 9 - outlasted Shadowmaster by 1.2 points. Ed Dickson, 1 catch for 3 yards (2.3 points), Jacob Tamme, on a bye. This decision literally saved me this week...
