Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (1 Viewer)

I don’t think Jon knows about Arya being able to use another face, does he?  I could see a scenario where Arya kills Grey Worm, takes his face, and then there’s a 3-person showdown with Dany, Jon and “Grey Worm” where she orders him to kill Jon and Arya removes his face and kills Dany. It would have to be a surprise confrontation where Drogon is not around.
I like this, but I would alter it slightly to fit my other thoughts.

1) Arya kills GW & takes his face - we agree

2) Rather than a 3 person showdown, we have 4 = Dany, Jon, GW(Arya) & Drogon

3) Dany orders Drogon to kill Jon, who has been disarmed before execution

4) Arya (GW),  then tosses the spear GW always has, to Jon.

5) Jon spears Drogon

6) Drogon continues - impaling himself further - and then flames Jon

7a) Drogon dies

7b ) Aray (GW) kills Dany as she is in shock = This is MAYBE for me.

8 ) Jon's status is not clear - but it appears to be a mortal wound

10) Jon leaves to be healed - where? Citadel &Sam? East - the mystical realm? Who takes him? Dany, would be my choice - if she lives (really convoluted) - but I don't think that will happen. I suspect it might be Tyrion that escorts Jon away - if he lives - maybe he is standing beside Jon at execution (edit: to be executed as well) and Jon's attack saves Ty.

I dunno. I like thinking about it today.

Going back and forth on a prediction.

I'm having a hard time figuring out how you kill Dany without also killing Drogon and all of the Unsullied and Dothraki.

Has to be someone who can get close.

I can't see any scenario where she is alive at the end of the show.

Also - seems like now is the time to buy Essos - without the Dothraki horde raping and pillaging, there should be good spots to set up shop.

Let me rephrase...anyone can get close.

Assume she gets killed...the Dothraki and Unsullied are not following anyone but her and they aren't just going to leave Westeros. There is no army left to stand up to them to beat them if they are just marauding everywhere uncontrolled.

And that doesn't even get to the Drogon problem.

The best I'm coming up with is he refuses to kill Jon and then Jon uses him to kill the Dothraki and Unsullied.

Somehow.

I covered Drogon above.

I think that the earlier part of this episode will explore the final War of the Roses by having the Jon loyalists (i.e. Northmen, remaining Westerosi native troops, maybe wildlings return, etc.) vs. House Dany (i.e. Unsullied and Dothraki).

In order for that to work, however, Dany & Drogon must be tied up elsewhere (the executions?), or else Drogon would slaughter the Jon loyalists pretty easily.

They have no way other then Hollywood bs to kill Drogon.  One spear won't do it. Sons of the harpy and the undead stabbed him multiple times and hardly slowed him down.

Edited to add: the only reason he was stabbed so many times was because for some reason he didn't burn them all, almost like he had ran out of dragon fire. But last episode showed that should no longer be a problem since he nonstopped burned down a city.

They were not the King. ......Sorry, that is not really an answer.

One dragon was killed with nothing magical - just the brute force of a well designed scorpion.

I specifically see my guess about Drogon impaling himself further on the spear as a potential difference maker. Thus, it would not be the force of a bunch of little guys stabby stabby, rather a long spear with Drogon's own weight and strength providing most of the energy required.

The other dragon was killed by a magic spear.

There is a chance that Arya may reacquire her "magic spear". I honestly don't know what has become of it, thus I never mentioned it earlier. It could also be a difference maker.

Another thought on the fate of Jon & Dany.

If I am lucky, where he/they go(es) at the end will be a telling decision for the spirit of the Land.

1) Citadel and Sam = Science = Modern Age

2) The Mystical East/The Far North = Magical Slumber but Eventual Return

3) Definitive Death = Continued Cycle of Opposition between Old & New

My guess, if a statement is really being made, is that like most all of this song, it will not be romantic. Thus, I would bet that GRMM will oppose Malory (again) and send Jon to the Cit, to usher in a modern age.

Thus, in the long - long reading:

Uther Pendragon (paganism/old magic) - > Arthur (Christianity/Departure with Promise of return of King) - >

-> Westeros = Christian Land after King leaves - > Kings Return - > War of the Roses - > Kings die/are mortally wounded -> new age of science (Citadel) or old age dormancy yet return (Far East/Far North) or continuation of current cycle (true death of Kings).

Oh, what about if one of the two eventually sit what is left of the Iron Throne?

I think that would place us at the point when Arthur took true reign. Thus, we would have no definitive answer on the ultimate victor between Old & New because so much would be left up for speculation about the nature of the reign.

This also reminds me of an Arthurian trope that can be applied to Dany and last week's massacre.

King Arthur: Ruthless Killer?

Then King Arthur let send for all the children that were born on May-day, begotten of lords and born of ladies; for Merlin told King Arthur that he should destroy him and all the land should be born on May-day. Wherefore he sent for them all, on pain of death, and so there were found many lords’ sons and many knights’ sons, and all were sent unto the King. … and all were put in a ship to the sea, and some were four weeks old, and some less. And so by fortune the ship drove unto a castle and was all to-riven, and destroyed the most part.
I know this isn’t the easiest text to understand, so here’s a breakdown: Arthur has sent for all the children and babies in his court that were born on May Day, put them on a ship, and left them to drown.

King Arthur: Mayday – Myths and Legends

It is simply presented that the honorable and wise King Arthur murdered several infants, and then the story moves on. It is oddly atypical and nowhere in any of the other stories we've told has the killing of children been treated so matter-of-factly. This isn't an exhaustive list, but even Cu Chulainn and Sigmund, who had no problem with killing, took issue with the excessive and unnecessary deaths of children (Cu Chulainn with the boy troops and Sigmund with Signy asking him to kill MORE of her children).

Thus, I see Dany's "break" as a necessary part of her current role. Arthur continued to rule after this - but Mordred did eventually unseat him. So, I see a way for Dany to sit the Throne, but I think this is a long shot now.

Jon sitting the throne would be like Arthur's chance at redemption.

Because Jon refuses it, and because he (along side Brienne & Ned) is the closest GRRM comes to Malory's romantic ideals - he is the best candidate for this role of redemption of the King.

And I believe, this change in the trope could signal a new direction from the last time Arthur reigned - and thus, break the wheel.

The steak is ribeye. The spuds Idaho. The beer is Maine Lunch. The weed is sativa.

Bring it on!
I was in the supermarket last night - around 9 pm or so.

It is usually not very crowded. But, last night, it was packed. I even heard many of the employees I passed complain about the unexpected crowd.

When I went to check out, I got to talking with the woman in front of me. She was preparing for a GoT weekend party. A large group was going to rent a hotel suite from Saturday to Monday. She had two carts full of crap.

The checkout peeps then figured it out.

We had a GoT Party Prep explosion - kinda like before a big storm is predicted.

Hah! It was great.

Have fun.

Jon, it's his rightfully, a lot of them probably know that by the time it happens.  Not sure Drogon would know what to do without her telling him, maybe he just freaks out, grabs her and takes off.

Valyrian steel dagger....if it can kill the nk

OK, here is my story for a Dany redemption.

Dany, via Drogon, tries to burn Jon. It doesn't kill him, but it wounds him very badly. It is like he has only partial immunity to dragon fire.

In her remorse of seeing what her madness has done to her beloved, she repents and escorts Jon to Avalon (wherever that may be).

However, Ayra does not trust her - thus, Arya joins them.

My source

After, Bedivere threw Excalibur into the lake; Morgan le Fay arrived with three other women - the Queen of Northgales, Queen of the Waste Lands, and Niniane (Nimue), the Lady of the Lake. They were taking Arthur to Avalon where she could heal his wounds.
Earlier, I compared Morgan le Fey to a newer Dany trope - as Arthur's incestuous half sister (in some versions)...who escorts him to Avalon.

Further, Arya was standing on The Three Sister's in the map room when Sandor changed her fate. Is she the "three sisters" who accompany Jon & Dany?

I don't really think so, but with so little time left, I can't stop speculating.

No way Dany survives this episode. All her top advisers either hate her now for what's she done or are dead. Someone, be it Arya or Jon, will take her out.

And I think Jon will have to kill Greyworm first.

Thinking Arya tries to kill Dany, Grey Worm kills her at Dany’s command. I think that finally pushes Jon over the edge to kill her. Anyone know the runtime of tonight’s episode? I’m about to start sipping on some Milk of tha Poppy and enjoy this finale.

I think Gendry and Sansa will rule together as married King and Queen - finally bringing the Wolf & Stag together on the Throne.
My dream ending...

Tyrion, as the newly discovered 3rd Head of the Dragon, marries Sansa and they rule together.

I think this would be an awesome TV ending, but a confusing/convoluted "archetype" ending - and perhaps too romantic for GRRM.

If it happens though, I will only celebrate.

Yes?

I agree!

So much!

Arya & Hound in map floor room of RK - Arya on The Three Sisters - Hound on Oldstones?

H - go home girl - doesn't matter - she's dead and you'll be dead too if you don't get out of here.

A: I'm going to kill her.

H: grabs her wrist - you think you want revenge for a long time, I've been after it all my life - it's all I care about and look at me - LOOK AT ME!  You wanna be like me?

Arya's face says no.

Sandor cups her head in his hand - they exchange looks of true compassion & care

You come with me, you die here.

Sandor continues - Arya remains - turns - speaks

Sandor..

He stops & turns back to Arya.

...thank you.

Sandor turns back and goes forward.

Arya's fate has been changed.

I guess it's final prediction time.

I would enjoy seeing Dany just win and this have a sick dark ending.

I want Jon to win and be king with an epilogue on how it was the best time in Westeros with Tyrion dying at 80 with a whore doing....you know.

If I had to bet money...... I'm putting money on Sansa ultimately ruling Westeros. Just because every chess move I think through in killing Dany leaves nothing left except whoever is at Winterfell.

10 minute pregame.

This has been my favorite TV show of all time. Gonna miss it. Enjoyed every minute of the ride.

And a final, way too serious, eff you to Stannis for what is still the most awful thing a character has ever done in a TV show.

Does the Iron Throne even exist anymore? Didn't it get crushed with the falling rubble?

My final prediction of who rules Westeros is: House Tarly
