Much was made this morning about an "extra-pouty" Tom Brady at his post-game presser yesterday. I have to say it was quite obvious and one of the reporters even asked straight out if he was feeling OK as he did not seem his normal "we got the win, but we need to get better... we've got some things to work on" self.Faust said:
Maybe he got beat up a little more than normal yesterday, but he did sound more like the losing QB than the one that just got a tough "W"

Is that why he was such a pickle-#### during his post-game presser last week? Did he already feel like something was off, physically?
I honestly can't remember him ever acting like he did last week. He always musters up a smile and stays somewhat positive regardless of the circumstance. I don't believe it was over the offensive execution. Their offense has stunk all year. Why would disappointment suddenly creep in now?
He seemed... gulp... worried?
This the reason why his throws look like noodle arm lately? To pick up an elbow injury from the QB's throwing arm in practice is rare. It's not like he's being tackled in practice. Unless someone accidentally knocked him over or bumped his elbow? Could be Evil Bill playing mind tricks again and Brady throws for 400 yards 3 TDs. Who knows.

Source says he’s expected to play and that its more managing the elbow and taking care of it per Ian Rapoport

Brady's passer rating numbers are weak.
How much do you think this is influenced by how many pass plays the Patriots have run? Brady leads the league in attempts (439, 39.9/gm) and completions (273, 24.8/gm).
The team is putting an even heavier burden to carry the offense on Brady than last year. In 2018, Brady finished 9th in attempts (570, 35.6/gm) and 8th in completions (375, 23.4/gm).
This year, the Patriots are 11th in rushing attempts (302, 27.5/gm). In 2018, the Patriots were 3rd in rushing attempts (478, 29.9/gm)

Pressure him and double Edelman with a guy jamming him at the LOS. Pittsburgh of course never learned this. He can't get away and is gonna throw the ball away as soon as he sees someone coming at him. KC brought the heat like you need to. He's in big trouble when he faces the Ravens as long as they do the same.
Wasn’t so easy when Gronk was open every time. But yeah he’s very limited at this stage against a pass rush.

The Bills have absolutely smothered Brady ever since McDermott has come on board. If anyone is starting Brady in their Championship this week, the odds are that they’re going to be disappointed.

Brady had the worst QB rating of all playoff QBs not named Josh Allen. He had ranked 28th or worse in nearly every stat category: comp % of 56, yards per pas was ridiculously low , 17:8 TD:int ratio final 8 weeks. 2019 was a tale of two seasons for Brady - he started out white hot, then faded , badly, after week 4.
he's shot.it's over. you can give him AB and J. Rice in his prime, what good is it if he throws the ball at their feet. or over their heads. or behind them. take the name off the jersey, he's a lesser Marcus Mariota. He looks terrible. and he can't handle the blitz anymore. that was the key, everyone has blitzed the heck out of him, they don't fear his abilities anymore.

There's no question that Brady has dropped off some, but there were much bigger issues than his play in the second half of the season. Nkeal harry sucked out loud. 31 targets, 14 receptions. Sanu 27 out of 52 looks ok but most of that was 10 catches on 14 targets against the ravens running short curls. The remaining 17 of 38 sucked. Dorsett wasn't much better. Jakobi sucked and got hurt. Edelman was beaten up and a shell of himself by the end. There was just nobody he could rely on to make a short catch. You can't have a high percentage passing offense without guys who can catch the ball reliably and they just didn't have that this year. Couple that with Brady being a little slower and a little less accurate and it was a huge problem. And the deep ball just wasn't a threat. Brady took so many deep shots this year to "keep defenses honest", but i can't remember it working at all.
Congrats to the titans they played well. Will be good to see some new blood in the superbowl. I still. hope we get to see Brady go for 7 but no complaints about this run ending, it was amazing and will never be repeated.

WIll Tom take a hometown discount for another shot?
Can BB (and Kraft) see a path to a continuation of the dynasty in the post Brady years that doesn't include a blow up/rebuild phase? It would have to lean heavily on the 2020 draft as the cap isn't all that great.

A huge factor was having Gronk and Edelman running those 5-7 yard routes and getting those 1st downs that didn't happen with the guys he's throwing to now. Cover up Edelman, he has problems. Couldn't do that with both those guys.
