TE Travis Kelce, KC (2 Viewers)

I think they like having Fasano in here blocking for Charles' runs but it makes no sense not playing them both on the runs. Kelce should be out there near 100% of the time and one of the hack WR's should be standing on the sidelines.

he played alot of snaps last week. bills just focused on taking him out of the game.
This worries me as Seattle, although letting up 4th most FPPG to TE, were able to shut down Greg Olsen(also the teams #1 option). I'm debating Seferian Jenkins over Kelce in a possibke shootout.

If you have held Kelce this far, it would be wise to ride it out, as his schedule is at it's most favorable. Andy Reid is actually keeping Kelce on the field for more and more work as well (67% of the snaps in Week 10). This is where Kelce earns his keep. Remaining schedule and defensive rank against the TE listed below....

The higher the ranking, the better the matchup.

Week 11---Seattle #7

Week 12---Oakland #17

Week 13---Denver #3

Week 14---Arizona #6

Week 15---Oakland #17

Week 16---Pittsburgh #13

From rotoworld:

Anthony Fasano (knee) is not practicing Wednesday.
Fasano has a bruised knee. His status for Week 11 is uncertain. If Fasano can't go, Travis Kelce could see a much-deserved uptick in snaps. No. 3 tight end Demetrius Harris broke his foot in Week 10 and was sent to injured reserve. Nov 12 - 12:52 PM

Please don't play Fasano. Would make my deicision between Allen and Kelce much easier.

I wouldn't call it "shut down" Olsen just stayed in to block on the majority of the snaps that game

i have the same two TEs. If Fasano doesn't get ruled out, I'm probably starting Allen.

I have the same situation as well. I'm starting Allen no matter what. I'm still feeling the sting starting Kelce during Gronk's bye week. Allen almost never has a bad game. Kelce is too erratic to count on. I'm trusting the TE catching passes from Andrew Luck over the TE catching passes from Alex Smith.

ETA: I also have Rivera, and may play him over both Allen/Kelce

I've only started Kelce once, Week four when Julius Thomas was on a bye (23.30 points).

I'm strongly considering him this week. Better match-up, home v. road, Fasano Q + 3rd string TE out.

We don't know for sure increased snap count is going to mean more targets, but everything is trending the right way for Travis.

Make it 3 4!

That's how I have it right now. But would definitely go Kelce if Fasano is out. Would hopefully mean way more looks for Kelce.

And so might Kelce if Fasano doesn't play

the Chiefs OLine is better than the Panthers. So is our local HS team.

Andy Reid: Kelce up to speed with whole deal

Speaking Wednesday, coach Andy Reid said Travis Kelce is now prepared for a bigger workload if Anthony Fasano (knee) is out or limited.

This quote equates to porn for fantasy footballers: "At the beginning of the year, we kind of kept the package (for Kelce) smaller," Reid said. "Then we've added to it. He's really kind of up to speed with the whole deal right now." Fasano's knee contusion is not considered overly serious, but he did miss practice Wednesday. Things are shaping up for Kelce to have an expanded role against a Seahawks defense that gives up the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. If Fasano ends up inactive, Zeus will be unleashed.

I like Kelce and all, but no need to get crazy. If anything, hope he has a great game and maybe you can deal him before your trade deadline.

I figure the idea is that by this time, most of the people in this thread are Kelce owners, and likely ones who have been stashing him in hopes that he has a breakout week. Each week that has gone by has crushed these hopes more, so this is pretty exciting news.

I'm personally gonna go dance right now. BRB

Trade deadline is tomorrow, bro.

While there's only a couple VOLUME + TD elite TEs, there are plenty of VOLUME (Olsen, Black Unicorn) or TD (Julius, Gates, Allen) TEs. That's two-thirds of the league.

What does Kelce offer that differentiates him from a FF perspective? He's low volume and has, what, 5 4 TDs? Nice but nothing to pay a premium to acquire.

Tough finding a trade partner to move Travis. Dude is a great athlete and has tremendous upside. But this year he was late round flyer who turned into a low end TE1. What can you get for that? Somebody who will function as your RB/WR 4? I'd rather hold as my expensive insurance policy to JT.

Depth doesn't win championships, but I've had a hard time moving Kelce despite sending out many offers.

Was just a suggestion, as personally I wouldn't start anyone over Thomas not names Graham or Gronk.

I have Kelce also in a league that I own Graham, so he is wasting away on my bench as well. I figure at the very least if he does blow up, I'm not gonna be playing against him come playoff time.

Right now I'm rolling with Kelce in my flex, however with Reggie Bush being ruled out, I wonder if Theo Riddick is a better choice.

Watching Fasano's health carefully today. If he's out of the way, I'm starting Kelce over Allen.
Still teetering here with the same players..
I like Allen a bunch, but Kelce finally capturing the lion's share of opportunities in a Smith driven O combined with SEA's difficulty covering TEs is just too rich for me to bypass. Would totally understand if you went with Allen though.

NFLN Fantasy show just made a good point. KC has such ####ty receiving options that Seattle may put a top cover guy on him and treat him more like a WR1/2 than a TE.

It may be time to say goodbye to Mr Kelce. At this point in the season I need guys who can put up some fantasy points when I need it. Today was a perfect chance and he came up empty. Was he benched after his fumble?

Don't be so hasty, the Chiefs still have two games with the Raiders!

On the first GL possession, they went to him on 1st or 2nd down. They went super heavy and ran play action. Kelce was one of only 2 guys that ran routes. Kelce was bracketed by 2 Seahawks.

I wouldn't overreact to the box score results -- Kelce led the Chiefs in targets, receptions and receiving yards.

Of more concern is that the Chiefs are showing no interest in passing as long as the run game is working (and it has been). Smith threw for 108 yards and the Chiefs won. Until/unless their offensive formula stops working, Kelce will be nothing more than a tantalizingly talented TE stuck in a wasteland of a passing offense.

Rotoworld:

Travis Kelce played on 50-of-52 snaps (96.1 percent) in Sunday's win over the Seahawks.

Kelce's previous season-high for snaps was 66.1 percent. The playing time is encouraging even if his box score (3-37-0 on five targets with one lost fumble) was discouraging on a day Alex Smith only attempted 16 passes. Kelce was asked to execute just 15 pass routes as the Chiefs took the air out of the ball. If Anthony Fasano's knee injury keeps him out Thursday night, we'd fire up Kelce again as a reasonable TE1 in the hopes a more pass-happy gameplan is needed.
