Apparently Nashville traded for Daniel Lovitz today too!  We have our very own USMNT player.  😍

Um...is he any good?

Who?

Not that this bunch of players is usually tidy on the ball, but looking decidedly uncomfortable with their first touches so far

That field is getting worse by the second

it would be nice to get 1 or 2 more before it becomes unplayable.  The ball is barely rolling as it is.

not that it should be too much of an excuse but the footing looks bad.  players are dropping like flies on both sides

Nips and lovitz unable to make a cross so far. Morris not having that problem

Roldan losing the ball leads to Lovitz foul on edge of area to give Cuba its only chance so far.   I feel like we may have predicted this.

Last week, a contractor pulled out the 20 year old railroad ties that bordered my driveway. He put down dirt and apparently some grass seed in the 18 inch wide space between my driveway and my neighbor's.

It would make a better pitch than what we're playing on right now.

It would be nice to get one more before half.  The end the US will attack in the second half is starting to look like a war zone.

Morris does not look like a soccer player but he is strangely effective.

True, he looks too “barrel chested” for a soccer guy but he makes some good runs and can find the back of the net.

@USMNT

With goals in 2019, should @A_LoLo12 (Aaron Long) score another tonight, he would tie the record for most goals by a #USMNT defender in a calendar year which is jointly held by @AlexiLalas (1993), @MarceloBalboa17 (1994) and @BocaBoca3 (2003).

Long is going to have a long talk with Morris after this game!!!!

:lmao:

really nice to see Morris so confident on his left now that he is willing to drive a cross.   What an improvement.

He was showing that in the playoffs too. Some nice growth from him this year

I am very pleased with his development.  We really could not expect more (especially at his age where players rarely improve something so basic).

I still want to see the team get to the point where Morris is a first choice sub and not a first choice starter.

I want to see more too, but we have to acknowledge being the only striker against a complete bunker is not fun for any player.

Announced attendance at the Can-Cuba game in this stadium was 420.  I'm guessing it'll be less tonight.

there was one shot of the camera side of the field which looked like a bigger stand and it was full so I could see some where around that number.

And the field.

But he still should be capable of opening up space off the dribble and shooting. They're bunkered, but hes had room

that was the play of the game for me.  US up 4 goals and just had 9 guys sprinting back on defense like their life depended on it.  That is fabulous to see

Lol. Announcers must have gotten a "positives only"  talking to prior to this one.

There is NOTHING to take out of this game. As long as nobody got hurt, nothing else mattered. They're playing a high school team on a cow pasture

None of them are under too much pressure, so grains of salt and all, but I've really like yieills grit and defensive closing ability.

Well..sorta

But you either care about the other stuff like shape, spacing, creating chances, ball movement, or not. It's against a crap team, but they're doing it at least. My expectations have dropped so far I actually wasn't expecting it

But yeah- no whammies here.every one walk off healthy and it's a win. (yedlin looked like he took a knock right before coming out)

100% correct imo.   Outside of the actual W, the game could not be any more meaningless in the big scheme of things.
