Who is Allen Hurns? (1 Viewer)

You know who was a good coach was that Tom Landry. Always wore that hat too. A lot of guys couldn't pull off a hat like that, but on him, perfection.
No link, but I believe I heard that Tom Landry will not be getting an MRI this week.

Jeff Darlington @JeffDarlington

I'm told Jags WR Allen Hurns is back in Jax after seeing core specialist in Philly, and all signs still point toward him playing Thursday.

Sports hernia? So he just has a little bulge on his abdomen. Wrap up your belly really good , and there is no way of it bulging out anymore.

So yes, he needs surgery, but this isn't as bad as it sounds imo. I've has a sports henria.

I wouldn't dismiss a sports hernia especially if he felt the need to seek out a specialist on a short week. Obviously he's in incredible pain. He cannot be 100% so you have expect the Jag coaches to limit his exposure.

Nah. They'll ride him as long as he is willing/able to go out there and play with the injury. Might as well do the same in fantasy. I doubt he makes it the rest of the season but, in the meantime, smoke 'em if you got 'em.

Allen Hurns could undergo sports-hernia surgery following the season.
Hurns met with a specialist on Monday, who clearly told him the operation could be deferred until January. Hurns has been playing through the issue, and remaining highly productive. He'll be a WR2 against the Titans on Thursday.

Im really Starting to like this kid. he is Awesome. Im sick of these peeps in a few leagues telling me that this guy is unimpressive.... That's Rubbish and is a tactic to buy low imo... There is no way you can look at this kid's body of work and say Unimpressive for defining anything associated with this guy. AWESOME player.

Becoming one of my favorite players in the league. So fun to root for. Undrafted, tough as nails and producing like a 10 year vet.

They need to be aware of the streak and go to Hurns first in that short TD situation. Assbags.

Bortles didnt help him at all as he was off all night. But thats really a credit to TEN pass rush; he had no time to throw. It happens and since it was on the dreaded THR night game it stings even more.

it appeared to me that he was going to be the target of a 3rd down pass in the front of the endzone but Bortles got sacked. He was open as well. I gotta give him a pass this week at least he's been wonderful for my team....

I keep reading that the titans secondary is underrated, benched him bc he was gimpy as well. look forward to the next opportunity to start him however.

Rotoworld:

Allen Hurns - WR - Jaguars

Allen Hurns was stretchered off the field in the fourth quarter Week 12 against the Chargers with a concussion.

Hurns tried making a catch over the middle late in the final quarter. The pass came in low from Blake Bortles, and Hurns dove head-first to try and scoop it off the turf, but slammed his head and neck into field as he was attempting the grab. It looked like he was knocked out. The medical staff had to stabilize Hurns' neck, but he did give two thumbs up on the way off the field. Before leaving, Hurns caught 4-of-9 targets for 42 scoreless yards. Bortles had a bad day.

Rotoworld:

After being hospitalized in the Jaguars' Week 12 loss to the Chargers, Allen Hurns tweeted Sunday evening that he'll "be okay."

Hurns was diagnosed with a concussion after being stretchered off the field, but word from the Jaguars is that he escaped with "only" the concussion. Hurns will have to pass through the NFL's concussion protocol to receive clearance for Week 13 against the Titans. We suspect he'll be a long shot.

Bummer

Jaguars OC Greg Olson makes it pretty clear that WR Allen Hurns (concussion) won't play at Titans. "That's a big blow," he said.
