Matthews, Acho ... who will step up?
Good question: They used a rotation of Casey Matthews, Emmanuel Acho, and Marcus Smith when Kendricks was out. I'm guessing they do something similar, but I think we'll have to wait a day or two to see what the media says.

Doesn’t sound like the injury for #Steelers LB Ryan Shazier is a serious one. Just a twisted ankle was how it was described. Minor.

looks like lamin barrow or steven johnson will get the nod at mlb here. barrow is a rookie and hasn't done anything yet (except get a fine from the league office i think). i expect johnson to get the chance to start this week. all the chatter has been about how the coaches and players are ready for him to show something. he's been a reliable ST player to this point too.

don't they have that nelson dude?
from the Broncos website:

Nelson could return to the type of sub-package workload he received against the Jets. But in the base package, the next man on the depth chart is Steven Johnson, the Broncos' second-team middle linebacker, one spot ahead of rookie Lamin Barrow.
and an Interview with Demaryius Thomas just yesterday:

“(He’s) a hungry guy who’s been waiting for his opportunity,” Moore said. “Losing Nate has been tough, but I believe Steve is going to go in there and handle his business. Our staff trusts Steve. He knows the game. He knows our system, and he can play.”

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- By the end of Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, the New York Giants were down to their fourth-string right tackle. This is not an ideal situation.

Starting right tackle Justin Pugh was inactive for the second week in a row with a quad injury, so Geoff Schwartz subbed for him as the starting right tackle. But Schwartz sprained his ankle in the first quarter and had to leave the game. He was replaced by longtime Giants backup lineman James Brewer, who suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter and had to come out of the game as well.

So the Giants, who had only seven offensive linemen active for the game, had to move right guard John Jerry out to right tackle and replace him with Dallas Reynolds at right guard.
