GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (8 Viewers)

I love meh. :lmao:

This is not one of those products we get our hands on because it's obsolete. Or it's refurbished. Or it just sucks. It's because it's labeled with goofy Claritin crossover branding. That deal is apparently over now, but we have to wonder, who thought this was a good idea in the first place?

This isn't like Hershey expanding from chocolate bars to chocolate syrup. When people see the name "Claritin" on a package, they're going to expect the presence of some Claritin, a substance which is not at all present in this air purifier. Hence, IT MAKES NO FREAKING SENSE except as the hollowest kind of cross-brand force-feeding. The National Dairy Council has done a bang-up marketing job, too, but you don't see them branching out into Got Milk? brand bottled water.

Somebody out there must agree, hence the end of this experiment in pharmaceutical merch. And not a moment too soon. If this became the new normal, we'd all have to start buying lingerie from Viagra's Secret. Problems with cholesterol? Forget the doctor. Just prescribe yourself a daily dose of red wine from Crestor Vineyards. The captive audience of teenage ADHD patients should be marketing gold for iPhone games by Adderall Studios.

There's no "meow" in "clinical depression": pet the blues away with Abilify brand kittens! Lunesta: you've taken the sleeping pill, now wear the pajamas! Dude, nothing gets the testosterone pumping like AndroGel Motorcycles!

After seeing that picture of your Brother-in-Law's house and what you get for the money in Indio, I am tempted to move there. Especially since I imagine I could get a sweet hookup at BWW.

I didn't realize we were throwing around big deal business guy schtick today. Picked the worst day to not check in.

If you have HBO Go and you want to watch a documentary on youth sports called "State of Play - Trophy Kids", can you record it on some sort of DVD like device and mail it to your friend in Oregon for meat sticks, beer, cookies or love in return?
I don't know how to do any of that but you can use my hbogo login info to watch it if you want.
Why can't you keep your hbogo login to yourself like an adult?

Because it doesn't affect my job.

Per the twitters, HBOGO has a free month signup

What's a good shtick going away gift for an early 20s single guy moving from Ohio to Louisiana? I was thinking condoms and hot sauce.
Is he moving to Louisiana or is he moving to New Orleans?
Baton Rouge
In that case, ice bags and nachos, no?
I'm all New Orleans Brohan. Only thing worthwhile in Baton Rouge is LSU
My notebook sucks, but only because I don't care about you knobs.

Thoughts on LegalZoom for wills and stuff?

Wife and I had wills drawn up as a value add as part of our mortgage like 6 years ago. We weren't married so we left POA and executor status etc to our parents at the time. Now that we have 2 kids and are married we'd like to have them updated. We will be getting in touch with the guy who did them for us to see what he will charge but we don't want to break the bank. We don't have any major assets other than our house so it should be relatively simple. What do those dirty lawyer types charge for something like this? Can any lawyer do an amendment?

Also interested in the answer. Answers in threads here devoted to this topic run the gamut. Looking for real solid advise.

I did one off of LZ as soon as we had kids just to get something down. Others may be able to chime in, but it varies from state to state on the complexity of things after death. While the LZ was better than nothing, I was recommended by a few folks including a financial advisor (who had nothing to gain from it) to have a formal trust drawn up by a local specialist.

TL;DR - ask around in your area to see what others know/have done.

never heard of it.

But to your point, there is good food in BR....but not nearly as good as NOLA

True. I did enjoy Mason's quite a bit, though. Really good food and atmosphere. But yeah, Baton Rouge is not a place I'd like to live.

Ooooof. Graduated with this girl and even took her on a date to see Aliens in 8th grade. I made out with her and then by nightfall, she was making out with another dude, which crushed a young and inexperienced GM. She was a typical entitled, lucky sperm clubber and her actions in the article are not surprising at all. I was FB friends with her, but she's taken that down. Sounds like she cared more about her dogs than she did the man's life she took.

Should have bought her some booze.
