[Dynasty] 2016 Draft Class (1 Viewer)

Is Mike Williams coming out?

I read somewhere that he was staying.

He's top 3 in my book. If he was playing this year he'd be the top WR in this class.

He'll be a steal for someone if he declares.

Tex
Yeah, good question. I'm not entirely sure.I agree he should be in the top WR conversation. I feel he has that potential as well and if he was fully healthy would be a top 15 pick. Not playing this year and the recovery have moved him down my rankings. I had him at 2 to start the season.

He's a guy that can move up substantially as the offseason rolls on.
Clemson HC Dabo Swinney said junior WR Mike Williams (neck) won't play in the College Football Playoff but will be back for the 2016 season.
"I don't think he'll play, but I know he'd like to play," Swinney said. "But as far as coming back next year, he'll be back with us, and I think that's a great decision by him." Williams suffered a small fracture in his neck in the season opener when he collided with a goalpost while catching a touchdown. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound Williams posted 57 receptions for a team-high 1,030 yards and six scores in 2014. In the preseason, Rotoworld draft guru Josh Norris ranked Williams as the ACC's best wideout.

I'm not etching this one in stone just yet.

Seems to me that Aaron Burbidge should be talked about more.

Good production and he's looked the part when I've watched. Am I missing something?

Rotoworld:

Michigan junior TE Jake Butt says he is 50-50 on his decision to enter the draft or return to school for the 2016 season.

"He said he wants to decide in the next week after talking to Harbaugh," ESPN's Dan Murphy writes. Butt is one of the better receiving tight ends in the country and has complete tight end potential. That is difficult to find.

Rotoworld:

Notre Dame junior WR Will Fuller will ask for an evaluation from the NFL Draft Advisory Board.

Fuller told reporters in early November that he would return for the 2016 season. This is likely just due diligence, but we have seen players change their minds after their collegiate season is over. Fuller is one of the top big play threats in all of college football, keeping coverages honest with his downfield speed. He compares to Devin Smith with less consistent hands/catch point ability.

What's everyone's take on Josh Doctson? I think he's going to be really good.
He's number 1 on my board and I don't see that changing at all. The combine only enlightens how I feel about a player I put more stock in production in conjunction with the eye test.

Rotoworld:

San Jose State senior RB Tyler Ervin accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.

After accepting a Shrine Game invite last month, Ervin received an upgrade. Ervin was recently named the team's Most Valuable Player after setting school records with 1,469 yards, 2,410 all-purpose yards and 15 touchdowns in 2015. He ranked second nationally in all-purpose running and was a first-team All-Mountain West selection. Ervin had two games rushing for more than 250 yards this season.

I hope you're right, I would love to see him come out.

Rotoworld:

NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah notes that Arkansas redshirt senior QB Brandon Allen shows "quick feet, full field reads" and is "accurate."

The 6-foot-3, 212-pound redshirt senior, has had an impressive season for the Razorbacks, throwing for 3,125 yards with a 29/7 TD/INT ratio. The Arkansas prospect will have a great opportunity to improve his draft stock, as he's already accepted an invite to participate in the East West Shrine Game. Jeremiah mentioned in another tweet, that his "first impression of Brandon Allen," reminds him of "Jimmy Garoppolo."

Rotoworld:

NFL Media's Albert Breer has spoken with evaluators who believe Stanford QB Kevin Hogan and USC QB Cody Kessler could "last for a decade in the NFL as great backups."

"Some think they can be more," Breer writes. We expect around 12 quarterbacks to be draft this spring, plus or minus a couple of throwers. Compare that to last year's draft, when only seven quarterbacks were drafted. The NFL is posting higher passing production than ever before, but the talent from starter to third quarterbacks could be improved.

Michigan junior TE Jake Butt announced he will return to school for the 2016 season rather than declare for the NFL.

Jim Harbraugh has done a great job keeping draft-eligible prospects around for another season. Butt joins cornerback Jourdan Lewis and defensive lineman Chris Wormley as returning talents. Butt could enter the 2016 season as the nation's top tight end, and Michigan will be one of the favorites.

This is the deepest TE class I've seen in some time. I may even target one of the Big 3 QBs depending on where they land and how far they fall in my league. I need a 3rd option after Luck and Carr.

WOW! Minus one! LOL!

I own the 1.04 in a 32-teamer this offseason - Elliott and Treadwell look like they're going 1-2 (or at least both in the top 3 for sure). Really hoping Williams declares so either he or Doctson will be available when I'm on the clock. After Elliott/Treadwell/Williams/Doctson, I'm not sure who I'd take. Michael Thomas certainly doesn't look bad, and the two stud LBs will definitely be in play at that point IMO.

If you have the 1.04 pick one of them will be available.

Rotoworld:

Houston junior QB Greg Ward Jr. "is too quick and agile not to get a look as a return specialist/slot receiver in the NFL," writes ESPN's Todd McShay.

Because he's only 5-foot-11, 185 pounds, Ward rarely gets love from draft analysts. That's a shame, because it does seem that his jukebox athleticism could be of use to an NFL franchise after next season. "Houston's dual-threat QB was awesome against Temple in the American title game," McShay wrote. "I left Houston most impressed with his toughness and competitiveness." Ward has 1,041 yards on the ground and is the only player in the FBS with at least 15 passing and 15 rushing touchdowns.

Rotoworld:

Arkansas junior TE Hunter Henry has been named the 2015 John Mackey Award winner, given to the nation’s top tight end.

The 6-foot-5, 253-pound junior has had a phenomenal season for the Razorbacks, recording 46 receptions for 647 yards and three touchdowns. Over the last three seasons, Henry has hauled in 111 passes for 1,569 receiving yards, which leads all tight ends in the SEC. Expect Henry to take a jump to the next level, with his stock at an all time high. Teams looking for a TE with an athletic skill-set, could choose to pull the trigger on Henry in the first round of the draft.

Louisiana-Lafayette junior RB Elijah McGuire is "testing the waters" over a potential declaration into the 2016 NFL Draft, says Ragin’ Cajuns coach Mark Hudspeth.

McGuire requested an evaluation from the NFL Draft Advisory Board. "He is submitting his name," Hudspeth said. "He is gonna do that, and evaluate that, and sort of see where he falls." McGuire has rushed for over 1,000 yards in two straight seasons and won last year’s Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year award. CBS ranks McGuire as the No. 15 RB prospect for 2017.

Demarcus Robinson - WR - Gators

Florida junior WR Demarcus Robinson "is strongly considering entering the NFL Draft," reports NFL.com's Rand Getlin.

Robinson is a talented player and a pain in his coaches' collective butts. Robinson was suspended twice as a freshman, once as a sophomore and once this year as a junior. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder is going to have to ace the interview portion of the draft process.

Pittsburgh junior WR Tyler Boyd filed paperwork with the NFL draft advisory committee.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior led the ACC this year with 7.7 receptionsand 79.4 receiving yards per game, logging 85 catches for 873 yards and six touchdowns in total during Pitt's 8-4 regular season. You may have noted the subpar 10.3 YPC average, down from 13.8 as a freshman and 16.2 as a sophomore. It's true that he's no Corey Coleman in the explosion department, but you can chalk the downturn up to defenses keying in on him when James Conner went down.

NFL draft analyst Lance Zierlein notes that Louisiana Tech senior RB Kenneth Dixon does not shy away from contact as he "likes" to "punish cornerbacks."

The Louisiana Tech prospect has had a solid season for the Bulldogs, rushing for 965 yards, with an impressive 17 scores on the ground, while adding in 28 receptions for 354 yards and 5 touchdowns through the air, earning Conference USA First Team honors. Dixon will have an opportunity to improve on his stock as he has accepted an invitation to attend the Senior Bowl.

Rotoworld:

Ohio State senior TE Nick Vannett accepted an invitation to the Senior Bowl.

Vannett has long been far more popular in scouting communities than among DFS owners. He has only 18 catches this year after posting 19 in 2014. Despite that, NFL Media's Chad Reuter believes Vannett will start in the NFL. The 6-foot-6, 260-pounder has good athleticism, long arms and an ideal frame.

Rotoworld:

Notre Dame junior WR Will Fuller "squirmed a bit" when asked if he still plans to return for the 2016 season, but responded by saying "I'm feeling great about it."

Fuller is waiting on an evaluation from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, and it would be tough to say no to a first- or second-round grade. The vertical, big play receiver won't be loved by every team, but he has skills that can be difficult to find. Jaylon Smith and Ronnie Stanley are absolutely off to the NFL, however, Notre Dame returns some top tier talent.
