Sure, if you let her. The idea is to use the one advantage you have - size. And those big guys would be so slow that she would kick their legs till they collapse.See, I think guys who outweigh her by 100+ should be able to take her - easily.
Assuming you are 235+ with more muscle than fat, I will assume you are a decent athlete - not world class, but enough to be able to use your athleticism and weight to take on an undersized woman. You overestimate the advantage she would have in close - against like sized opponents, sure she has an advantage. But with an extra 100 pounds, she won't have the same leverage she enjoys against most of us. Then, pure weight on her will wear her out as fast as you get worn out.
If you have any boxing skills, you could use your reach advantage if she does not charge you. jabs, not power punches will keep you from wearing yourself out.
But, worse case scenario is you should be able to bear hug her, and body slam her, and don't let go....
You do and I'd kick your ###.I'd bite her nipples right off.

It would only work if you either kept her at bay with jab, or when she charged you, be ready to use your leverage and wrap her up, and lean on her.
I am neither 235, nor overly muscular, so it does not apply to me. But if you met those requirements, I assume you are also athletic to have that build.

Yep. Its quite the dose of reality to go into a serious mma gym fresh off the street and realize how pathetic you really are. Guys come in all the time thinking their tough and they'll use their size or strength, its not pretty and they usually dont last long because the first step is accepting that you suck and you're gonna take a lot of beatings. One thing I find interesting in this discussion is the difference in opinion between those people who follow MMA as fans or are involved in MMA as participants and those who are not fans or participants.
it's a hell of a lot of fun though, and the best workout you can imagine. I highly recommend.Yep. You aren't going to out leverage an Olympic judoist. You'll be on your back in hurry and tapping shortly after. The only hope outside a lucky punch would be keeping her at length with a jab and maintaining that for 25 minutes while not eating a crap load of leg kicks. The majority of UFC heavyweights cannot go 25 minutes without gassing even though their job is to do so. Your 235lbs "athlete" certainly won't. Yup. Rousey has been a pro since 2011. Since then, i'd imagine she rolls, spars, or both for 3-4 hours a day, plus lifting, nearly every day of the week. She has dedicated her life to being as bad-### as she can possibly be, and she came into this with a world-class judo background.proninja said:This is applicable to every famous professional athlete in every sportUnless you've rolled or sparred with the caliber of fighter today's MMA -male and female- you have no idea the level they're on.
Regular people have absolutely no chance

I'm a big strong guy, very athletic and played sports my whole life, and I do pretty well when things go down on the street. I'm going to join a muay thai gym this month, and I have no illusions...I expect to get the tar beaten out of me regularly, probably even by the chicks.it's a hell of a lot of fun though, and the best workout you can imagine. Yes, on your back; not meaning unconscious, just on your back. You'd have a much better chance going for a KO than you would surviving. Rush her throwing bombs. 25 minutes of laying on a submission specialist? Good luck with that. Again, your 235lb athlete would not have near the stamina for 25 minutes. On your back is unlikely - tapping out, maybe. You aren't going to out leverage an Olympic judoist. Are you trying to knock her out, or survive? If you are just trying to survive it does not take much energy to keep your weight on her - just ask my wife.
If you try to fight her, at her game, then yes you are going to lose. But if you simply want to survive 5 rounds, then you don't try to fight, you try to survive - and your chances are better than most think - again assuming some size (235+) and athleticism here.
For the record, I don't think she can beat me up per se, I voted that she would break my arm, well inside the first round. But, i don't think she would rip it off and beat me over the head with it.
MMA fighters are not super human. Training can only overcome so much deficit in in strength, speed and power.
how many UFC fighters have you guys met? The ones I have, I would say are pretty damn close to super-human.MMA fighters are not super human. Training can only overcome so much deficit in in strength, speed and power.
Can I stubhub tickets for this ### whooping?I've got 7 inches, gigantic reach, 85 pounds, and am probably 2 possibly 3x as strong as her. At the age of 32, maybe I have a punchers chance if I can keep my distance, frustrate her, and catch a lucky shot (if I connect once on the chin or temple it would be lights out). This would also include 3-6 months of training and I'd still be a gigantic underdog.
In my early 20's, with 3-6 months of training, I think I would've taken her.
he might be able to survive a couple more minutes than pre-training.How about this:
Lets say you take a college football player; 6'2, 225, 10-12% body fat, 4.75 forty yard dash... Put this guy in the gym for 3-6 months, any question he destroys her?
Can you make animal look?i could probably destroy her in a farting contest though take that to the bank
You guys realize that this is how UFC started right? It was basically technique and training vs. strength, speed, and power, and technique won every time.MMA fighters are not super human. Training can only overcome so much deficit in in strength, speed and power.

A competent gym wouldn't have him sparring within 3-6 months, but let's say he's a good athlete, and really takes to it. He starts sparring at 3 months. Put him in the cage vs Rousey after sparring for only three months, and yeah...he's not making it out of the first.
do you guys really think that Rousey only trains with 135 lb girls?
No one on this board has a shot, but the athlete wins IMO. No. Thats why we have four pages. People have to invent some fake scenario under which she loses. Not sure if it makes them feel good about themselves or what?I voted and then came right here to the latest comment. 4 pages? Are there really guys here that think they could win/give her a fight?
Well is it a baby brown bear or an adult brown bear? Male or female? Is it ripped? What about vs a brown bear? The bear has no training.

Yea, someone like this is just muscles, he isn't extremely quick or a world class athlete either. She owns this dude who is almost 2x her size, 5x her strength, and every ounce the athlete she is...
