Thomas Rawls, RB, CMU/Seahawks (1 Viewer)

Is all the talk this week about Lynch being 100% and ready for a big load, just coaches speak?

Will Rawls be a sneaky start?
No clue why you take that risk. Lynch is ruled out if they don't plan on playing him I would bet.

Only way Rawls is sneaky this week is if Lynch gets reinjured.

Does anyone think Lynch will be back next year? His contract situation is weird. They owe him 9 mil for salary and already paid for a 2.5 million signing bonus that is guaranteed. So it's 11.5 mil for him to play for them or 2.5 mil for him to be sent packing if I understand that correctly.

The other possibility is that he simply retires from football as he has been hinting at.

Another possibility is that he simply breaks down and is injured and then a cap casualty...

I'm thinking Rawls has pretty good dynasty value right now... but can we trust Seattle?

Definite hold in Keepyer/Dynasty. I have been trying to work out a trade for with the Lynch owner but we just can't seem to agree on his value.

Is everyone still holding?
He's one Lynch reaggravation away from 20 carries a week. I'm holding.
Same here. I'm in a league with max 6 RBs and decided to lock in on 3 lottery ticket guys: Rawls, David Johnson, Christine Michael. Still have Abdullah for the time being but I'd drop him before Rawls because of that crazy upside should anything happen to Lynch again.

He's just one of those players who have proven themselves more than capable and they don't grow on trees. You gotta find a way to hold him. If he gets his chance, it's a FF season changer. I'm saying the same thing about David Johnson and Ladarious Green so yes my bench is getting thin because of lottery tickets!

Bump...any speculation or actual news about Lynch's abdomen injury?
Was wondering about this tweet by Sigmond Bloom that he connected to the injury to Allen Hurns that seems to hint/speculate that Rawls could be in for extra work.

Curtains for his season? injury isn't new

.Gabe Thomas@RPGthomas255 2h2 hours ago

@SigmundBloom Some docs think the same may be in store for Marshawn Lynch

EDIT: Hurns saw a specialist for 'abdominal' issue and we saw last night Marshawn taking himself out of the game and placing heating pad on his abs. Went right over my head at the time, never thought hernia could be the issue.

Thoughts on Rawls going forward? I grabbed him this week but with Lynch looking like he was a go and all my options 1:00 starts left Rawls on the bench. If Lynch can go next week will Rawls be back to same limited touches?

Probably. Maybe get a series instead of just a few carries.

listed as questionable instead of what should have been doubtful! Should fine teams when they do this.

Questionable is 50/50.
pretty sure if you look at players listed as questionable throughout the year they play closer to 75% of the time

How is that the Seahawks problem?

you are right...probably a NFL problem, but I would guess coaches exploit it to confuse opposing teams.

Brady was questionable for years before every game. Nothing was ever done to stop Belichek.

Marshawn Lynch will see groin specialist Dr. Robert Myers to examine his abdominal injury on Monday.
Lynch has endured groin, hamstring, calf, and abdominal injuries over the course of a season where his body seems to be breaking down. As Lynch will visit the same specialist who examined Allen Hurns last week, there are strong indications Marshawn may be dealing with a sports hernia. Surprise Week 11 starter Thomas Rawls filleted the 49ers for 255 total yards and two touchdowns on Sunday and appears in line to make another start in Week 12 versus Pittsburgh.

I wouldn't jump the gun but it's certainly possible Lynch's body doesn't want to cooperate anymore. He still looked very good to me on his touches last week but no one who follows this sport should be even remotely surprised if the all of the touches he's seen over the past decade have finally caught up to him this year. I've (incorrectly) been avoiding him over the past two years because of it.

certainly no medical expert but I didn't think sports hernias were that difficult to diagnose

Wow; I missed that Lynch would be out today, so Rawls is on my bench, and I'm in a very tight game. Crap. Oh well. I would have played him today over Latavius b/c Rawls has looked really good when he's been given the chance.

Definitely finding a way to hold onto this young man.

Rawls says Marshawn Lynch told home he was passing him the torch today. And might be longer now.

Sports hernia specialist. Possible core muscle surgery on way. Typically 6 wk recovery, but hope can finish season.

Pete Carroll on Marshawn Lynch's status: "This will be a really important couple days for him. We’ll know something by Wednesday probably."

The news Lynch was out wasn't released early enough to have subbed Rawls in for Murray.

Hopefully my league mates do not use fbgs dynasty rb rankings where he is rb63. Thinking of putting him in a package for someone like Hyde/Hill/Ingram.
