As a Cameron owner maybe this will help.Philbin out. TE coach Dan Campbell in.
Pretty sure he can't suck anymore than he does now.Well that has to be good for Miller owners, right? They can't possibly use him even less, can they?
exactly. There really is only upside at this point.Well that has to be good for Miller owners, right? They can't possibly use him even less, can they?
Rumor is Coyle is out. No word on Lazor.I guess this means Croyle and Lazor are gone too? Or no?
Season is already lost. To quote my friend Hillary, at this point what difference does it make?Dan Campbell
39 years old; he only stopped playing 2009.
His whole coaching career is with the Dolphins:
- 2010 intern coach
- 2011-now TE coach. Came in under Sparano. At least we can say he's been though this before.
That's it.
Yikes.

As a Phins fan I say GOOD RIDDANCE!
Don't be so sure - from the news blog...Too bad Ross can't fire himself.

He was very good for the packers. I believe he was the OC the yr they won the Super Bowl? Isn't that why he was hired in the first place?Seriously?Old Smiley said:Done deal. I hope he gets another shot as OC somewhere. Dolphins... sorry guys, I see you as more of the same for a long painful time.

He's certainly a Parcells disciple.I recall Dan Campbell being a Parcells guy when he was in the league. Pretty sure he was also a blocking specialist to Shockey/Witten. He looked very raw at his presser but I can't help think that maybe Parcells put had something to do with this. At the very least he's not a frail looking old dood or one of the coordinators that are clearly adding to the problems. Not saying being physically imposing is the end all be all but I feel like Suh has been able to step (lol) all over whatever coaches he wants to. He's clearly a pretty unstable individual (said he's not emotional yesterday... Sure buddy, way to kick Fitzpatrick in the head not being emotional) and may respond better to someone his physical equivilant.
Paging Mr. Turner ... Mr. Norval Turner ...We've seen HCs that fail, because they are good coordinators, not good head coaches. Let him do what he does best and let someone else worry about everything elseSeriously?Old Smiley said:Done deal. I hope he gets another shot as OC somewhere. Just from watching and listening to him on Hard Knocks, you can tell he's very far from super intelligent. HTF do guys like him get jobs when there must be a ton of super smart and dedicated people who would love to have the gig. Is it simply because of relationships and the good ol boy network?Old Smiley said:Jason_OTC @Jason_OTC 12m12 minutes ago
@MikeTanier That Tannehill contract is clearly a Tannenbaum deal. Virtually identical to one he did with Sanchez. Suh probably him as well
Oh yeah, that's another thing. Why in the world does anyone hire Tannenbaum?
Edit: Pretty good piece from Tanier on the whole mess, and how there's way more housecleaning to be done.
That's probably a good thing. Hell, Parcells can coach the team from his living room and Campbell would reap the benefits....as would Lamar Miller.I recall Dan Campbell being a Parcells guy when he was in the league.
