2.9 - Bud Norris (SP, Atlanta)

I feel like this one has huge boom or bust potential. They paid him to come be that innings hog on a bad team. But he's so bad he may go the way of many a Gobbler before him with a demotion to the bullpen or DFA. Should be exciting to see how it turns out.

Flexible arm who can be ineffective as a starter or in relief

2.10 Steven Souza, OF

The man knows how to whiff. Would've made a push for top overall position player last year if he could've stayed healthy.

I'm on the road tomorrow and in meetings Wednesday, may be spotty checking in. I think a few of you have my phone # but I can PM it as well to keep the draft moving.

3.3 Colby Lewis, SP

Should be able to pitch poorly again. Probably can't stumble into 17 wins this time.

70% pitchers taken so far. You know I changed the scoring this year right?

Top hitters seem weird...they're all at the same few positions. (at least according to last year)

Yeah, having 6-7 games in a week seemed to dilute their statistical contribution last year. Of course, the 1 start/week pitching impact was inflated by the scoring system too.

When I look at the top hitters in this format, I'm scared off by the idea that a lot of them could have good years. They may be free-swinging hacks, but they can hit the ball hard when they make contact.

Most of the pitchers who have been taken, on the other hand, are pretty safe bets to get lit up.
