HS Football Player Felony Charge - 69 Counts Of Indecent Exposure For Yearbook Dong-Pic Prank (1 Viewer)

So 69 counts because 69 teammates are in the picture. None of whom were looking at him. And most of whom have probably seen his junk in the locker room/shower.  :loco:

Overcharge much? And by that I mean why is this being charged at all?

There are pics of me in my yearbook with beer bottles; are you going to investigate how I came into possession of said alcohol Mr. Toughguy DA?

It should be 69 counts times the number of practices and games since surely he showered naked each time with them.  They really need to investigate this case further and out an end to these shennaningans.

Whole lot of religious whackos in Mesa, AZ. Doesn't surprise me one bit that this became an issue.

While I agree this appears absolutely crazy, this is exactly the hyper-sensitive, PC society we live in.

The key statement iin the article is someone filed a complaint and that's all it takes. The police have to investigate and I don't know Arizona law, but this would fall under the Indecent Exposure misdemeanor laws in Colorado.

He will plead it down, but It was a stupid prank that will end up costing this kid a lot. I mean having to re-print all the yearbooks wasn't cheap I am sure. Most importantly, his lawyer's job will be finding a way to escape having him register as a sex offender.

I see kids charged with this exact charge for "mooning" people and don't even get me started on the sexual assault charges that are filed for kids playing tag and someone accidentally touches someone on the butt.

i look back at all the crazy stuff I did in high school in the 80's and under today's societal microscope, I would have been charged with multiple felonies.

Not sure his age, but why don't they charge the publisher and the school for distributing child porn? Or, at the very least, distubuting porn to minors since all of the students are not 18.

To carry the ridiculousness further...

Shouldn't the photographer be in trouble for taking the picture of the dong in the first place?

And I don't know how they did their yearbook but back when I was in high school there was a committee of students that chose the pictures that would be in the yearbook.  If that's still the case then shouldn't they be held responsible since they were the ones that put the picture in the yearbook?

It seems to me this kid is a victim...

For pulling off that prank, let's give said football player, a tip of our hat.

Just the tip

Really confused by this...

- he didn't expose himself to his teammates

- he didn't take the photo nor did he publish it

- could also claim it wasn't really his penis, but a prosthetic

lack of mens rea

Would there be any charges for a creeper exposing himself behind young girls taking a photo?

While we are at it, charge the teammates who are in front of him who conveniently spaced themselves apart just enough so he could be seen.

It was only a matter of time until somebody noticed that the picture of the football team had an extra member...
