Put 40 on gonzaga at 8-1.
20 on the thunder at 15-1.
20 on washington to make final 4 at 40-1.
10 on dayton to win NIT at 50-1.
50 on the rams before nfc championship to win SB at +350.
10 bucks on maryland to win it all at 60-1 then took the phillies over 87 in a bet that almost got me kicked out of the book. More on that later*.
Have Rams over 27.5 for 20 bucks.
Have rams alternate moneyline -3.5 at +180 for 20.
Rams +1.5 and the over parlay for 50.
Homer bet of 10 bucks on marquette at 60-1. I also have 10 bucks from earlier in year at 100-1.
10 bucks on BYU to win NIT at 150-1.
*The futures sheets were dated like two days prior. The brewers were listed at 84 wins on the sheet. The actual line was 90. The phillies were at 83.5 on the sheet. 87 was actual. Maryland was 75-1 on sheet. Nothing had changed in those two days. In fact Maryland lost the day after the sheets were printed. None of the big boards had any of these on display. Just the sheets. I was drunk and this really pissed me off. They are either too lazy to change the info on their sheets and they just change the dates or they do this on purpose hoping that people will just make the bets and not notice the lines had changed. I went off on the manager. I didnt notice a couple of the changes until the phillies bet. He told me to chill or he would have me escorted out. I told him i was leaving anyway and took all of the pens like the mature adult i am then i threw away all of the futures sheets. Then i turned around and put most of the pens back with my head down in shame as i realized i had to get my wife from where we were sitting and she was buried in her phone oblivious to what had just happened.
I kept the phillies and maryland bets that had been placed already instead of taking the refund because i course boldly proclaimed those were going to win and i wasnt getting tricked out of them.
Not my finest hour. Screw caesars palace. We only went there because my wife loves the halal guys food. Street meat as she calls it in NYC.
Was it @lindetrain Matt Lindeman? The sheet thing is annoying when they don't update them. I learned that lesson a couple of years ago with some CFB futures from South Point that I thought I was getting incredible value on, only to get back to my hotel and find out they'd all moved a game and a half to two and I didn't check the tickets before I left the counter. Always gotta ask what the current number is.
. Last year was nice with the Eagles cover and win, but I'm not fading Brady this time.
