Ref I'm jealous of your ambition.  When I was there this time last year, stayed in my hotel's vicinity and all I found was the MGM (?) owed casinos offering QB comp props...for SNF and MNF.

Oh?   I'm at the Aria and that's a "M Life" property.

other vegas quick hits..... won a $6.5K pot on a $700 buy in when I flopped quad queens at PLO and the primary mark flopped 8's full and the other "short stack" turned jacks full.   Absinthe was a great show.  I have a very inappropriate sense of humor and this show was right up my alley.  I wasn't a big fan of Aria at first but it really has grown on me to the point where if/when I come back Inwould stay there.  I take the red eye back and they just offered me the room 7PM for $60.... I think that's more than fair.  Plus the poker rate they offer is great.  The Westgate I'm in love with but the check in/out line last night was 75 deep.  That scares me a bit.

I also always take the walk to Ellis Island (Koval), maybe 10 min walk from Linq . $7 steak and egg bfast special, and very good bbq (chicken/ribs) in the other restaurant. They have their own brewery, and I think it might be $1 beers when NFL games are on (usually $2.25 or so for large glass). Good odds/low mins on the craps tables. Lots of locals, but the word has gotten out in the last 5+ years about their cheap food/beers. Bunch of drunk people doing karaoke late night in the lounge if you are into that.

Palace Station is probably the closest, maybe 2 miles (from Westgate) across the highway from the strip

I literally laughed out loud when, after seeing the "William Hill Sportsbook" sign on their entrance and going in, I asked a cocktail waitress to point me to the sportsbook and she points at what appeared to be a Powerball Kiosk.   You can get your bets down, but you won't be watching games there.

 WH is notorious for cutting people quickly.  you're not getting more than 1k down and you'll be lucky to get that down for very long with a player card showing you win.
