I'll start. My grandfather worked under him in WWII. He was an ###hole but kept my grandfather from getting court martialed a half dozen times and drank a #### ton of bourbon.

I'm pretty sure that Janelle Patton was murdered.
I should confess that I never heard of this case until went googling to find someone, anyone named Patton that was murdered.

Where did you ever hear that? That is completely and totally the opposite of what has always been said about him. He was known to send his men into the bloodiest battles while he stood on the sidelines.

I've read a lot about Patton since the movie came out (1970/71) and l take an Occam's razor view of his death.

I have a hard time believing that conspirators could design a car crash that was light enough to leave all the occupants unscathed except for Patton.

I will say this. Patton was right in the idea that the Allies should have busted their ### to get as far East as possible in 1944/45. Ike was a great general....but he was wrong in the idea that they should have taken it slow and worried more about the Alps.
