The Russia Investigation: Trump Pardons Flynn (6 Viewers)

You see...here's another example of selective outrage.  You seem upset that someone met with a Russian to get dirt on Hillary yet, show no anger when it is shown that the Hillary paid for a MADE UP dossier that invented dirt on Trump.
Your caps are not factual.

When you push know lies (don't care what your source is), like there is NO evidence, call it what you want.

and for the record, I didn't call out Opie directly, nor did I mean that he is a troll. But the actions and behaviours can often be one and the same, and the effects certainly are.

Wherher Opie or anyone else is trying to troll or not, the lack of admitting even hard truths (there is SOME evidence at least, and we can argue if it's meaningful, damning, trustworthy or not - but to say there is none is to LIE) and promoting known lies over and over is not worth engaging since one side (the one purposefully spreading lies, whether it's trolling or otherwise) is clearly not willing to have the courage to address these very important issues with any sense of intellectual honesty or respect for the truth, nor respect for those posters who don't seek to just push known lies.

anyway, enough on this digression as it too doesn't positively contribute to the convo.
I'm with you, but you are giving him too much credit.  Nuance and accuracy are not his thing.  His use of the word "evidence" being a prime example.  Intellectual honesty is not something Hannity sycophants care about.  But they don't need to in order to believe the garbage that he spews every night.

Anyway, I get what you are saying and am with you.

The ONLY evidence they have the the Russian's interfered is the Obama's knowledge that it happened.....and Hillary lost.

Obama was aware of Russian interference and had Hillary won, we would have heard nothing about it.
These are not the same.  One is a false statement about evidence of Russian involvement with the Trump campaign followed by a true statement that Hillary lost.   The other is an irrelevant statement regarding Obama's knowledge of Russian interference followed by your personal conjecture about what would have happened had Hillary won.

Two entirely different things.

So...what is everyone's plans here when Trump gets re-elected?
Continue to work to more completely marginalize the people who think its a good idea to vote for someone like Trump. it'll happen eventually.

So Cambridge Analytical stole the information instead of paying Facebook for it like everyone else does.  Is that what has everyone upset?

I'm sure if the nuclear button had a post it on it that said "DO NOT PRESS" we would have seen a mushroom cloud over North Korea.  Telling Trump not to congratulate Putin is going to have about as much impact as telling him not to tweet stupid #### at 5 in the morning.
The concern is he's conducting extemporaneous foreign policy from his bedroom without any kind of plan, without any guidance (even if it is from a cohort of clowns), and he's really bad at it. Listening to the other clowns would actually be an improvement in this case. Him working on his instincts uninhibited when dealing with the rest of the world is a really, really bad thing for all of us.

There are a lot of funny Trumpite claims but the ‘Hillary paid $12 million for a work of fiction’ is the funniest one.
... that she buried until after the election for some reason.

Don’t you just hate it when the liberal echo chamber shouts down brilliant arguments that deserve to be heard like this stroke of genius?

No.

Its the concern that they may have gone further than that to some degree... but the real concern for me at least, is how this plays into the overall context of possible coordination with foreign agents to influence our elections. That's bad enough if it's folks in Trumps or his campaigns circles, much much worse if this was done with Trumps inner circle involved or even knowing, and obviously worst ye. If it's Trump. Bobby M needs to shed some light on where those issues stand.

Because the picture we see is one where it's at the least possible that some coordination existed between Americans working on behalf of Trump and Russians that portray a coordinated scheme using the FB data, perhaps the data stolen/hacked from various servers, possible tying into the hacking of voter data rolls etc...

So while the acts themselves are concerning (maybe more or less so depending on the legalities and all), that's not such a big deal. The fear that such efforts were one cog on this coordinated machine using Russian resources tactics and agents - THAT'S what's so frightening

Listening to the morons and yes-men he's surrounded himself with isn't going to be any better.  Outrage about Trump not listening to staffers is a stupid issue.  Congratulating Putin is a stupid issue.  Again, this is the type of non-substantial garbage that is typical of talk show hosts.   There are substantial issues that have far more importance.   This is a dumb distraction.

Congratulating Putin on winning a rigged election is substantial - on its face, due to the manner in which it was done, and particularly in the context of his relationship with the leader of an essentially rogue state. Even the idiots who advise him recognized its a bad idea, that's the point here. Its possibly more substantial in the context of being President than whether he committed adultery with Stormy Daniels and 200 other women.

There is some really funny stuff. I mean it’s horrible and (yes) threatens our democracy but it’s funny. Like where Hannity and Sessions and Co. go to extreme lengths to instruct us that the IG & OPR acted properly and according to Hoyle in canning McCabe, but then Trump immediately starts madtweeting that he wanted McCabe canned before he’s whisked off to golf and then he hires diGenova who, wrapped in turtleneck, intones that Strzok corrupted the Fisa process by holding a cocktail party. Ok.

Did CA help with ads TARGETING Cruz? I wonder if this was part of a coordinated effort to sabotage the other campaigns to help the Trump campaign?
No. Mercerer backed Cruz using CA until it was obvious that Trump would win the nomination, then they jumped ship.

No, Mercer switched to Trump after Cruz dropped out.  According to the Channel 4 story, Mercer conditioned his support on Trump hiring CA/Bannon.

I'd guess the same thing as before. Blame Russia. Fearmonger  something something about an imminent WWIII. Ignore the actual issues and fault that lays with the Democratic party.
Another four years and the Log Cabin Republicans are going to throw a rejoiceful party.  You should come!

Tired of people not being held accountable for spreading falsehoods via ignorance or outright lying. Troll or otherwise.
Meh.  The back and forth does nothing to make him accountable or change his behavior.  Taping his mouth shut with the "ignore" function, on the other hand...

The Federal Election Commission on Wednesday sent a letter to Nunes’ campaign committee, raising red flags about some particular contributions received in 2017. The letter, sent to Nunes’ campaign treasurer and mother Toni Dian Nunes, requested “information essential to full public disclosure” about three potentially illegal contributions.
I'm wondering how mom got involved here...

Best way to hold them accountable is to ignore known purveyors of outright lies. It's like the Simpsons episode where the mascots came to life... their entire sense of being is to engage you in a one sided affair where they have zero desire to pursue or admit truth not engage in any legitimate conversation.

So let's not legitimize their trolling / trolling tactics by responding and let them suck wind.

Such an effect would also have an effect to make it more fruitful when engaging in Trump fans that at least don't continually spout constant lies, as the behavior of those who do so here merely reflect that much worse on Trump supporters in general (how can I not lump these guys in with others here in these boards and in real life when they play off one another and influence overall perception of his base... quite negatively mind you.  Maybe these folks are double agents sent to make Trump supporters look that much less intelligent and/or willing and able to hold a legitimate and intectually honest discussion?)
