The Russia Investigation: Trump Pardons Flynn (5 Viewers)

Nice to see this thread dying.  Many in this thread must feel foolish for wasting their time on it for the past TWO YEARS.

What a colossal disaster for Democrats and a waste of time and resources for our country.

Meanwhile the middle class continues to suffer and the border is a disaster.... and the Democrats are sitting on their hands or meddling in ridiculous affairs.

Do Americans even have a choice in 2020?  Have the ridiculous Democrats forced their hand?

A.  Wasted zero resources.

B.  Democrats in the house have passed many bills that are being instructed by the Republican controlled senate.

C.  Trump and the republicans had two years to do something about those other issues and did nothing.

This has all been a disaster for the GOP and exposed them for what they are.

True the easy choice is to oppose Trump in 2020.  That is clearly what would  be best for America.

Where’s the culpability of the GOP for this in your statement? They controlled all 3 branches of the government for 2 years in case you forgot.

ha ha, funny stuff.  Even if anything you posted was correct, how is the middle class still suffering and the border crisis the fault of anyone but Trump and the Rs?  They held all three branches of government up until 5 months ago.

Weird take dude.

It’s hard to be this wrong. You have to really try. Impressive

EXCLUSIVE: FBI Obtained Bogus Trump-Russia Alfa Bank FISA Warrant After They Learned the Entire Story was a Lie

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2019/05/exclusive-fbi-obtained-bogus-trump-russia-alfa-bank-fisa-warrant-after-they-learned-the-entire-story-was-a-lie/
According to the New York Times on October 31, 2016, computer logs showed that two servers at Alfa Bank sent more than 2,700 “look-up” messages to the Trump servers.
A forensic examination conducted by Alfa Bank of the Alfa Bank computer revealed that the only communications that took place regarding “trump” were those logged requests coming from outside its servers noted by The New York Times above. No other communications were found as indicated in the forensic report related to this subject.

Alfa Bank blamed Jean Camp & Associates for artificially setting up a false Trump-Alfa Bank narrative and threatened a lawsuit:

In May of this year [2017], the bank tapped Kirkland & Ellis LLP, a white-shoe American law firm, to write a letter to L. Jean Camp, an esteemed Indiana University computer scientist and researcher — and a vocal supporter of the claims made by Tea Leaves. This initial letter, first reported by CNN, claimed that the Camp investigation into the covert server chatter had “encouraged inquiries into supposed links to the Trump organization” and that her “activities continue to this day to promote an unwarranted investigation into Alfa Bank’s ‘communication’ with the Trump Organization.”
GP could have pointed out that Bill Barr's law firm, Kirkland and Ellis, also represented Alfa Bank. And the new head of DOJ's criminal division also directly represented them for Kirkland.

Why do you think GP didn't mention that.

It's also really interesting considering that Barr wrote his memo to Trump's lawyers and the DOJ proposing a unitary presidential authority theory of immunity for Trump in June of 2018 and lo and behold in November Sessions was finally convinced to step down. Barr made $1.2 million last year for K&E.

I find it both hilarious, and also sad and depressing, that at the same time that @John Blutarsky challenges my reliance on such news sources as CNN, the New York Times, and The Washington Post, he is linking articles from The Gateway Pundit.
Well it’s not surprising. But more to the point the piece references a forensic analysis conducted by Alfa Bank while these same folks reject the concept of the DNC using a forensic analysis of its servers. There isn’t any real thought or principle here.

And I realize people scoff at GP and the current conspiracy theory du jour, but reality is this is an actual White House argument.

Not just someone. The guy who spent the last day attempting to argue against the validity of mainstream media sources.
No Tim, it was a few posts. The last day? I have rarely posted this weekend. You’re the one that has your face in your phone each day posting here non stop. I didn’t say they weren’t valid. I said they have a bias. Don’t misrepresent things but you do that often.

British ex-spy will not talk to U.S. prosecutor examining Trump probe origins: source

The source close to Steele’s company said Steele would not cooperate with Durham’s probe but might cooperate with a parallel inquiry by the Justice Department’s Inspector General into how U.S. law enforcement agencies handled pre-election investigations into both Trump and Clinton.

Seems ridiculous for Durham to question someone that has already been interviewed by Mueller.

And for anyone who isn’t familiar with Rep. Amash, he’s not some independent leaning Republican. He’s generally considered one of the most extremely conservative members of the House.

So then you accept the Mueller report and no need to move forward with any other investigations to try and nail Trump?
Do you accept that none of these investigation investigations should even exist?

Yes, as it pertains to the Russian meddling and obstruction, no need to go forward. Campaign finance, bank fraud, etc still are out there.

This doesn’t seem complicated, Steele isn’t a DOJ employee.

It’s probably worth quoting here:

>>will not cooperate with a prosecutor assigned by U.S. Attorney General William Barr ***to review how the investigations of Trump and his 2016 election campaign began<<

This is not a criminal investigation. Steele is not obligated to cooperate with an internal review.

The article also makes no reference that any request has even been made.

I accept the Mueller report.  I don't accept that Barr has the authority to make any prosecutorial decisions related to the president, that power only resides with the House.  Therefore, the House is well within their rights to seek clarity on anything.  Investigations must proceed.
