There are several reasons Hillary Clinton lost. Some of them are irrelevant to the future of our democracy and some are not.Hillary is the reason she lost...not Russia.

The future of our democracy? That is the drama you are trying to create? There are several reasons Hillary Clinton lost. Some of them are irrelevant to the future of our democracy and some are not.
I don't even belong to the Democratic Party, lol.
@timschochetWhat are you waiting for?
People do seem to lose sight of the fact that the investigation was of Russian interference in the 2016 election, not an investigation of why HRC lost the 2016 election.I, for one, am glad we are finally going to take the time to talk about Hillary Clinton.
I mean I know she no longer holds any sort of political office but it’s about dang time we focused on her and not the current POTUS.
Perhaps it sounds more dramatic on the page than in my head. The future of our democracy? That is the drama you are trying to create?
And hasn’t held any elected office in over a decade.I, for one, am glad we are finally going to take the time to talk about Hillary Clinton.
I mean I know she no longer holds any sort of political office but it’s about dang time we focused on her and not the current POTUS.
It’s brought up because she lost, Dems can’t handle it and they blame Russia. Did you have a beer yet?I, for one, am glad we are finally going to take the time to talk about Hillary Clinton.
I mean I know she no longer holds any sort of political office but it’s about dang time we focused on her and not the current POTUS.
They did Bill for years and years before that. Its part of their playbook.Hillary lost because Republicans talked about Benghazi and emails for 4 years. Both of which amounted to nothing.
Now we have Trump caught obstructing all over the place trying to hide his various crimes and some are saying the Dems should be careful pressing this?
You got to be kidding me.
Not to mention the Dem base is tired of getting pushed around. See Merrick Garland.
Next time have a better candidate.Perhaps it sounds more dramatic on the page than in my head.
Hillary Clinton lost because people hate her
because she’s a woman
because Donald Trump is a very successful con man
because she campaigned poorly in the Midwest
because Russia interfered
and a host of other reasons.
Her poor campaigning and the fact that people hate her really don’t matter for looking forward to future elections and election designs. The ability of a con man to fool a lot of voters, interference by Russia, sexism, and the like are important to study moving forward and try to stop them from affecting elections moving forward.
I’m not sure to whom you are speaking, but I’m not registered as a Democrat.Next time have a better candidate.
Of course notI’m not sure to whom you are speaking, but I’m not registered as a Democrat.
God, I hope you're right. I kept waiting for him in 2016 once Rubio was out.I might not be but imo this is long calculated by Mitt. If you want to run, you have to slowly peel back Trump's base. You don't do that by being openly hostile. You wait for moments. This is a moment.
He's moving along glacier like but I think come fall he will start becoming a louder voice of dissent and, provided he is picking up steam, he'll announce in January for the "good of America." A big test will be if other prominent Republicans back his play here.
But I think we'll know for sure when the first poll "randomly" tests Romney in the GOP field (I still think he won't push that button til Fall so he has a better feel).
During the primaries I posted the statutes under which I believed Hillary Clinton should have been prosecuted and jailed. She just still happens to be light years better than Phineas Trump Barnum, King of the Three Ring Circus of Incompetence. Doesn’t mean I like her at all.Of course not
My Just fast forward to the second section. The first is all stuff covered here including predicted outcomes. The report is definitely a page turner...or scroller...whatever the kids call it nowadays.
I read slow though and I'm on vacation next week, so this'll take awhile.
Catchy!During the primaries I posted the statutes under which I believed Hillary Clinton should have been prosecuted and jailed. She just still happens to be light years better than Phineas Trump Barnum, King of the Three Ring Circus of Incompetence. Doesn’t mean I like her at all.
Dear God I hope this happensDemocrats should set impeachment hearing up right before election.
I mean remember when all of you Trump supporters were going crazy throwing your Keurigs out of windows because that black dude took a knee during the national anthem? The WH press secretary lied multiple times that a life long servant law officer had lost the confidence of his organization and he lost his job because of it. Apparently she just decided to make up this lie for no reason at all. Horrible right? It would be delightful if SHS somehow pays for the lies she told about Comey and tge hundreds of others.
This calling him a con man earlier is just as distasteful and disrespectful as calling him a turdPhineas Trump Barnum, King of the Three Ring Circus of Incompetence.
It's the truth though. See Trump University for starters. What's distasteful is that this horrible person is POTUS.This calling him a con man earlier is just as distasteful and disrespectful as calling him a turd
He is a con man. A brazenly obvious one at that. Sadly, even though obvious, he's taken in 33% of the U.S. voting population. This calling him a con man earlier is just as distasteful and disrespectful as calling him a turd
Saints was on itSorry, have we discussed the fact that the bulk of the polling data Manafort handed over was Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania?
Is it? I don’t find it to be. He’s perpetrated a number of frauds on customers and television viewers, and in fact has paid out lawsuits based on them. I certainly apologize to him if that’s how he feels about it.This calling him a con man earlier is just as distasteful and disrespectful as calling him a turd
Noam Chomsky, the noted progressive scholar, believes Democrats have focused far too much on Russia. And he thinks it might earn them four more years of President Donald Trump.
“[T]he Democrats are helping him,” Chomsky said. “They are. Take the focus on Russia-gate. What’s that all about? I mean, it was pretty obvious at the beginning that you’re not going to find anything very serious about Russian interference in elections.”
He added, “As far as Trump collusion with the Russians, that was never going to amount to anything more than minor corruption, maybe building a Trump hotel in Red Square or something like that, but nothing of any significance.”
Chomsky went on to say that he believes focusing too heavily on Russia may cost Democrats dearly next November.
“The Democrats invested everything in this issue,” Chomsky said. “Well, turned out there was nothing much there. They gave Trump a huge gift. In fact, they may have handed him the next election. … That’s a matter of being so unwilling to deal with fundamental issues, that they’re looking for something on the side that will somehow give political success.”
Trump University was a con. His charity was a con. He funded his casinos through cons. He conned his way out of bankruptcy. His fake book was a con. His hair is a con. He tried to con his way into the NFL twice but they sniffed him out. His sister was just pushed into retirement to avoid explaining her involvement in a family con. He conned campaign donors to pay off a porn star. His continued emolument conflicts are an ongoing con against the good people of the United States. Kavanaugh wasn't elected. So you are basically saying you don't care about the rule of law unless it suits your political beliefs? Because the rule of law is why Kavanaugh is on SCOTUS and Trump is POTUS.
It is Constitution hating activists and propagandists who have tried to prevent/remove Kavanaugh and Trump from their duly elected positions.

I voted Gary Johnson for SCOTUS, FWIW.Kavanaugh wasn’t elected to any position.

- What would you call this?On January 12, 2017, a Washington Post columnist reported that Flynn and Kislyak communicated on the day the Obama Administration announced the Russia sanctions.122 The column questioned whether Flynn had said something to “undercut the U.S. sanctions” and whether Flynn’s communications had violated the letter or spirit of the Logan Act.123
President-Elect Trump called Priebus after the story was published and expressed anger about it.124 Priebus recalled that the President-Elect asked, “What the hell is this all about?"125 Priebus called Flynn and told him that the President-Elect was angry about the reporting on Flynn’s conversations with Kislyak.126 Flynn recalled that he felt a lot of pressure because Priebus had spoken to the “boss” and said Flynn needed to “kill the story.”127 Flynn directed McFarland to call the Washington Post columnist and inform him that no discussion of sanctions had occurred.128McFarland recalled that Flynn said words to the effect of, “I want to kill the story."129 McFarland made the call as Flynn had requested although she knew she was providing false information, and the Washington Post updated the column to reflect that a “Trump official” had denied that Flynn and Kislyak discussed sanctions.
He is a con man bro. Sorry you choose not to see it.This calling him a con man earlier is just as distasteful and disrespectful as calling him a turd

That is false.Obama knew what is happening but did nothing, so it must not be a big deal.
I voted for The California Raisens.I voted Gary Johnson for SCOTUS, FWIW.
It's even worse than that. Bush actually sanctioned the Russians for helping Obama in 08. Before he was even inaugurated, Obama told them he'd overturn the sanctions and not to worry. He may even have personally benefited from it.Obama knew what is happening but did nothing, so it must not be a big deal.
It's not that they don't know it. It's that admitting it amounts to an acceptance that they've been conned - and that's a measure of self honesty most can't accomplish. It is mind blowing that there is anyone out there who doesn’t know trump is a con man. He is the con man’s con man.
Everything about the man is shady. He is the most compulsive liar I have ever seen in public life. Not even close really.
Democrats should set impeachment hearing up right before election.
Talking healthcare and all that is great until Trump shuts down the border and takes all the oxygen out of the room. He will control the coverage again like did in 2016. Will be different than 2018.
This is not the greatest show.
It's the truth though. See Trump University for starters. What's distasteful is that this horrible person is POTUS.

He is without a doubt the most successful con man in the history of this country.
Just for context, the Merriam Webster definition of confidence man (aka con man):
"a person who tricks other people in order to get their money"
I voted Gary Johnson for SCOTUS, FWIW.
He is a con man bro. Sorry you choose not to see it.
Reading the last page of this thread is pretty much exactly like reading the first page of the Trump thread from a couple yrs ago. What would you call Trump University?
I can stop you right there. I am not describing goal posts. I was summarizing the results of a criminal investigation. This is how far the goal posts have moved?
And realized it was probably more stuff like this which simply isn't true. Sorry if that post took a bunch of time.Russians interfered with the election on Obama's watch and he did nothing to prevent it.
Obama did know about Russia and what they were trying to do.I can stop you right there. I am not describing goal posts. I was summarizing the results of a criminal investigation.
I would read the rest but i got this far
