[Dynasty] 2018 Draft Class (3 Viewers)

South Dakota senior TE Dallas Goedert received an invitation to attend the Senior Bowl.

Despite his collegiate career being played at the FCS level, Goedert might exit the all star circuit as the draft's top tight end. His 2016 stats were unreal, with 92 receptions for 1,293 yards and 11 touchdowns. 2017 isn't poor either, and Goedert also sports an inline frame.

South Carolina coach Will Muschamp announced that junior TE Hayden Hurst will bypass his senior season to enter the 2018 NFL Draft.

This isn't a surprise, as Hurst is old for a prospect. He'll turn 25 prior to next season after spending a few years as a minor league baseball player. In 2012, coming out of high school, Hurst was picked in Round 17 by the Pittsburgh Pirates -- he turned down a scholarship to Florida State to turn pro. That didn't work out, and he eventually walked on at South Carolina. Hurst (6'5/253) is considered solid in every element of the game, but perhaps not elite in any. He figures to be a mid-round pick. Hurst has 35 receptions for 480 yards and two touchdowns so far this season.

Wyoming redshirt junior QB Josh Allen was held out of practice again on Tuesday while receiving "specialized treatment" for his throwing shoulder injury.

Allen's injury is of the "soft tissue" variety and was considered day-to-day. Throwing shoulder injuries are always bad news, but head coach Craig Bohl remains optimistic that Allen will play against Fresno State.

Rotoworld:

"Many" in the NFL believe SMU redshirt junior WR Courtland Sutton could land in the top 10 picks this April, according to Albert Breer.

Sutton is a very fun player to watch and is on his way to the Senior Bowl. On the surface this looks like a bold statement that Sutton could be drafted this early, but remember three receivers were selected in the top 10 picks last April. The rookie receiver class has really struggled as a whole. We preferred Corey Davis to Sutton, but Sutton has a really nice size and skill combination.

Sources Tell Us: Buzz building again for LSU RB Derrius Guice

Excerpt:

The scoop: LSU's Derrius Guice had become the forgotten man at running back in the first half of the season when so much attention was focused on the outstanding play of Penn State's Saquon Barkley. However, Barkley cooled off just as Guice started to heat up over the past few weeks. Scouts haven't cooled on Guice's NFL potential at all despite his quiet first half of the season, and one scout believes Guice is about to "get 'em talking again" with his next two games (at Tennessee, vs. Texas A&M).

The skinny: I struggled this summer when deciding which running back to rank No. 1 at the position between Barkley and Guice. Both players have great size and are exceptionally talented, so I went back and forth until ultimately settling on Guice. There's no doubt the pendulum swung in the other direction with Barkley's impressive start, but Guice is doing a good job of reminding us about what he can do.

It appears that Penn State head coach James Franklin is limiting the wear and tear on Barkley down the stretch (averaging 16 touches in the past two games), but Barkley's production has been very poor by the star RB's standards in the past 3 weeks (averaging 2.9 yards per carry).

Guice, on the other hand, appears to be healthy again after dealing with a nagging left leg injury earlier in the season. He hung 276 rushing yards on Ole Miss, 147 on Arkansas and is expected to load up the stat sheet against both Tennessee and Texas A&M.

The Barkley vs. Guice debate could be more interesting than some might expect if both decide to enter the draft after the season.

Colorado State senior WR Michael Gallup "sets up his breaks, sinks his hips and tempos his stems effectively," writes ESPN's Todd McShay.

Gallup caught 11 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's overtime loss to Boise State. "He had an early drop in the end zone, but he also shows the ability to catch it away from his frame and the body control to adjust," McShay wrote, adding praise for Gallup's route running. Gallup is up to a 87-1298-7 receiving line this season (14.9 YPC).

South Florida senior RB Darius Tice ran for 80 yards and a score on just nine carries in a 27-20 victory over Tulsa on Thursday.

Tice doesn't need many touches to make a difference in a game, and he showed that again against Tulsa on Thursday. His 57-yard burst through the Hurricane defense in the first quarter gave the Bulls a 14-7 lead in the first quarter; a lead they would never relinquish. It's the tenth touchdown on the season for the 5-foot-10, 205-pound senior, and he's one of the big reasons why the Bulls have a chance to win a conference championship. A marquee matchup against Central Florida comes next week.

Tulsa senior RB D'Angelo Brewer ran for 163 yards on 34 carries in a 27-20 loss to South Florida on Thursday.

He also had three catches for 36 yards. It's the fourth straight game that Brewer has gone over 100 yards, and the sixth time this season that the star tailback has gone over 130 yards. It's just too bad that the rest of his team hasn't come close to matching what he's done for the Hurricane in 2017, otherwise Tulsa would be going to a bowl game this winter. Brewer and Tulsa will look to avoid a ten-loss season next week against Temple.

Buffalo senior WR Anthony Johnson caught seven passes for 153 yards with four touchdowns in a 40-24 victory over Ball State.

Have yourself a day, Mr. Johnson. The 6-foot-2, 196-pound senior wideout has been one of the best playmakers in the MAC all season, and has now scored six touchdowns in his last two games. He scored once in the first, two times in the second, and once in the third against the woeful Ball State defense. Johnson now has 12 touchdowns on the season, and will look to add to that total next week against Ohio.

Arizona State senior RB Demario Richard rushed for 119 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries in Saturday's 40-24 win over Oregon State.

Richard (5'10/220) wasn't ripping off epic runs left and right in the win, but he consistently managed to accrue positive yardage on his way to leading the Sun Devils in rushing for the contest. After failing to top 100 yards in any of his first seven games this season, the senior has gone off for 433 yards in his last three contests.

Southern Miss senior RB Ito Smith racked up 153 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries in Saturday's 66-21 whitewashing of Charlotte.

Smith had a tremendous Senior Day performance in Hattiesburg. He has crushed Rice and Charlotte over the past two games, rolling up 303 rushing yards and five scores as he finishes his college career strong. He'll look to keep it rolling heading into the regular season finale at Marshall.

Nov 18 - 6:23 PM

Memphis redshirt senior WR Anthony Miller posted eight receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 66-45 win against SMU.

It was Miller's fourth game this season with at least 163 receiving yards, and he now has 1,068 yards with 13 touchdowns. He set the single season school record with 1,434 receiving yards in 2016, and he has the regular season finale against East Carolina, the AAC Championship Game and a bowl game to improve on that mark.

ECU senior WR Trevon Brown posted nine receptions for 270 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 48-20 victory against Cincinnati.

The highlight of the day was a 95-yard scoring connection with QB Gardner Minshew, and he also hauled in a 20-yard TD from backup Reid Herring in the fourth quarter. The 270 receiving yards was a school record, which is quite impressive considering ECU has had NFL wideouts like Aundrae Allison, Terrance Copper, Justin Hardy, Dwayne Harris, Zay Jones, etc. Brown will look to wrap up the season on a high note at Memphis next Saturday.

UCLA junior QB Josh Rosen completed 32-of-52 passes for 421 yards with three touchdowns and a pick in a 28-23 loss to USC on Saturday.

Rosen (6'4/218) clearly outplayed fellow QB/rival Sam Darnold, but it was Darnold who got the victory on Saturday. Rosen's inaccuracy is a bit misrepresented, as many of those passes were throwaways while under pressure. For the most part, he was accurate, showed off his arm strength, and found playmaker Jordan Lasley three times in the end zone. With the loss, Rosen and the Bruins will need to beat Cal next week in order to reach a bowl game.

Stanford redshirt junior RB Bryce Love ran for 101 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries in a 17-14 victory over Cal on Saturday.

Love was held to just 17 yards on six carries in the first half. That didn't last long. On the first possession of the third quarter, Love took a pitch to the house for 57 yards and opened up Stanford's lead to 17-6. Even basically playing on one leg, he's still the best running back in the Pac-12 and one of the best in the country. Stanford closes their season next week in a great matchup with Notre Dame.

UCLA redshirt junior WR Jordan Lasley caught 10 passes for 204 yards and scored three times in a 28-23 loss to USC on Saturday.

Lasley (6'1/210) has been outstanding since returning from suspension, and gave the USC defense everything they can handle and more. His first score came on a beautiful back-shoulder throw from Josh Rosen in the end zone, and he scored again on a nine-yarder in the third quarter to make it 21-14 USC. His final score was a 27-yarder from Rosen that was the final score of the game to make it 28-23 Trojans. Lasley is clearly a playmaker that is coming on strong at the right time. UCLA plays Cal next week, with the winner headed to a bowl game.

Cal junior RB Patrick Laird ran for 153 yards on 20 carries with a touchdown in a 17-14 loss to Stanford on Saturday.

Laird (6-0/200) has been one of the best stories of the Pac-12 conference in 2017. He showed impressive power on his runs again; especially on a one-yard score that brought the Golden Bears to within three at 17-14. He also was a big part of their passing game, catching four passes for 47 yards. It just wasn't enough against the tough Cardinal team. Cal gets another crack at a bowl when they take on UCLA next week.

NC State senior QB Ryan Finley completed 34-of-52 passes for 327 yards with a touchdown and interception in a 30-24 loss to Wake Forest on Saturday.

It's a big yardage total, but it took an awful lot of passes to get to that mark, and Finley wasn't the accurate passer of the football that we saw for most of the season. His touchdown was a 20-yarder to Emeka Emezie to tie the game at 21-21 in the third quarter. The struggling Wolfpack close their regular season next week against North Carolina.

Oregon senior RB Royce Freeman ran for four touchdowns and 135 yards on 19 carries in a 48-28 clobbering of Arizona on Saturday.

Freeman passed Ladanian Tomlinson in this one to become tenth all-time in rushing yards in NCAA history. That's pretty good, and Freeman was better than pretty good against the Wildcats. The 6-foot, 230-pound bruiser showed his impressive power along with his speed to run over and past the Arizona defense. He'll go over 1,500 yards on the season to go along with his 14 touchdowns next week when the Ducks take on the Oregon State Beavers in the Civil War next week.

Oklahoma senior QB Baker Mayfield went 20-for-30 and threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 41-3 victory over Kansas.

During the coin toss before the game, Mayfield tried to shake hands with Kansas captains Daniel Wise, Dorance Armstrong Jr. and Joe Dineen Jr. They stared back and didn't offer their hands. Thusly disrespected, Mayfield went out and shredded the Jayhawks. He was demonstrative throughout, not forgetting the snub, grabbing his crotch while cursing the Kansas bench. At one point, he turned to Kansas fans behind OU's bench and screamed: "You have one win! Go cheer on basketball!" This was Mayfield's lowest passing yardage total of the season. That's likely no consolation for Kansas' humbled defense.

Colorado State redshirt senior RB Dalyn Dawkins carried 24 times for 138 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's victory against San Jose State.

The senior has 138 or more yards in each of his past four games, and he has run for at least 121 yards in seven of his past eight outings. He is finishing up his collegiate career as a real workhorse, posting 24 carries in each of his past three outings. Dawkins has one more chance to take the field in the team's still to be determined bowl game.

Oklahoma redshirt junior TE Mark Andrews caught four balls for 42 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 41-3 victory over Kansas.

It was Andrews' first touchdown catch of the month and his fifth of the season. He had seven in each of the past two campaigns. Earlier this month, NFL.com's Chad Reuter wrote that Andrews has the potential to make a Pro Bowl within the first three years of his NFL career and called him a "match-up nightmare."

Oklahoma State senior WR James Washington caught eight passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 45-40 loss to Kansas State.

Washington hauled in a 38-yard touchdown in the first quarter and later added an eight-yarder in the fourth quarter as the Cowboys tried for a furious late comeback after falling behind by 29 points. Alas for the boys from Stillwater, it was not to be. With the senior's huge performance on Saturday, Washington can now claim ownership of a 61-1317-11receiving line across 11 games played. He'll try for the cherry on top of this impressive statistical sundae when Oklahoma State tangos with Kansas next Saturday.

Georgia senior RB Sony Michel carries 12 times for 87 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's 42-13 win against Kentucky.

Michel bounced back nicely after being bottled up for just 21 yards on nine totes in last weekend's loss at Auburn. The senior has racked up 12 rushing touchdowns through 10 games, and he has at least one score in eight of his 10 outings this season. He and Nick Chubb will look to make life tough on rival Georgia Tech next weekend in Atlanta.

Oklahoma State senior QB Mason Rudolph completed 32-of-53 passes for 425 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions in Saturday's 45-40 loss to Kansas State.

The Cowboys fell behind 42-13 before mounting a massive comeback to make it a game in the final quarter-plus of action. Rudolph connected on two of his three touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, plus notched a little two-yard scoring run. Alas for Oklahoma State, this was all just too little, too late. Tough defeat aside, Rudolph has now thrown for at least three touchdown passes in eight games and surpassed 350 yards passing in seven contests.

Washington junior RB Myles Gaskin caught six passes for 114 yards and a score and ran for 52 yards and two more scores in a 33-30 victory over Utah on Saturday.

There are some analysts who believe that Gaskin need to work on his receiving skills at the next level. Those analysts better study Saturday's tape. Gaskin was excellent in the passing game, making plays on screens and scoring on a 76-yard wheel route from Jake Browning to tie the game at 23-23. His rushing touchdown was on a wildcat formation that tied the game 30-30. The 5-foot-9, 190 pound tailback gets a chance to win his third Apple Cup next week against Washington State.

Boise State senior WR Cedrick Wilson caught five passes for 107 yards in a 44-19 victory over Air Force on Saturday.

Wilson didn't get into the end zone, but he did reach 100 yards for the first time in nearly two months. It makes back-to-back thousand-yard seasons for the senior, who has been a big part in making Boise State the best team in the Mountain West Conference in 2017. They have a big matchup next week against Fresno State.

Washington senior WR Dante Pettis caught six passes for 94 yards on Saturday in a 33-30 victory over Utah on Saturday.

He also added 34 yards on two carries. Amazingly, it's only the third time this year that Pettis (6'1/195) has gone over 90 yards receiving. He made several impressive back-shoulder catches from quarterback Jack Browning, including one on the game-winning drive for the Huskies. Pettis will look to keep the good run going next week in the Apple Cup against Washington State.

San Diego State senior RB Rashaad Penny carried the ball 24 times for 222 yards with two scores in Saturday's 42-23 victory over Nevada.

It's the third straight game that Penny (5'11/200) has gone over 200 yards for the Aztecks, and also the third time in a row he's scored at least two touchdowns. Not only did he score twice in the run game, he also added a 100-yard kick return for a touchdown. If not for two games where he ran for a combined for 134 yards, Penny would probably be in the Heisman race. He'll look to get to 2,000 yards next week when the Aztecs play New Mexico on Friday.

Nov 19 - 10:30 AM

Louisville junior WR Jaylen Smith went for 95 yards and a touchdown on three catches in a 56-10 drubbing of Syracuse on Saturday.

Smith (6'4/219) has now scored three touchdowns in his last two games. His touchdown on Saturday was a 72-yarder from Lamar Jackson that gave the Cardinals a 28-3 lead in the second quarter. Smith and the Cardinals finish their regular season next week against Kentucky.
