So now everyone thinks Jimmy G is going to the Bears?
I think SF, CHI, and CLE are the front runners for Jimmy G. He is probably the most valuable qb on the list (I like Tyrod better), and requires trading draft stock to get him. I think Shanny will want to groom his own guy and NE would rather trade him out of the AFC.

I'm intrigued that some folks did not assign a QB to every team that needs a starter. Who would be left over to start?

The jets probably need a starter but i hear they like hackenberg.  Could be wrong tho. I thought about giving kapernick to the jets but i thought he might be more likely to stay in familiar territory so i assigned him to the cardinals as a backup.

No one should like Hackenberg.  The Jets had no QB at the end of the year and had nothing to play for. Yet they still wouldn't let him sniff the field of play. He had some horrible evaluation metrics coming out of college. I really doubt he is the answer for the Jets.

10/10 should require no tiebreaker, but Manziel will continue to prioritize his partying over a return to football.

Bonus:  Bears acquire Garoppolo, but do so without parting with the #3 pick this year.

Mike Glennon, AJ McCarron, a few other stop gap veterans like Hoyer or Barkley, or an incumbent. It's not like every team will end up with an answer at the position next year.

I just found in interesting that some folks have teams getting two of the options listed and other teams getting none of them.

I did it twice. The draft and free agency are two different ways to find an answer and in some cases it may make sense to "double down" (see Cleveland). Also it's Colin Kaepernick who holds the option and I don't see him giving up $15MM (where else will he see that money?). I suppose they can release him, but from what I read I think they are on the hook so long as he takes the option (maybe I'm wrong about that).

His contract of 14.5 M + 2 M bonus becomes guaranteed on April 1. Don't think there's much of a chance of them paying that so they will cut him if he opts out.  Maybe bring him back at lower price but I kind of doubt it.

Thanks  so he has the option but it's not guaranteed then.

11.  Johnny Manziel - Free Agent

Soo many variables with the cap and draft and I've never felt that free agency has been logical when it comes to quarterbacks so I'll do something different.

I've been hearing that SF isn't in love with any of the QBs from this draft class and will wait on Kirk Cousins to become a free agent next year so I think they will go with a short-term veteran quarterback.

1.  SF - Jay Cutler/Kaepernick

Kyle Shanahan loves Kirk but will have to wait a year so he goes with the guy who his pop had playing his best football and who fits the Shanahan offensive system.

2.  Chicago - Jimmy Garoppolo

Jimmy is a from the Chicago area.  The Bears probably aren't in love with any of the QBS from this draft class either and wouldn't want to blow the third pick in the draft but 'probably' would part with their 2nd round pick.

3.  NY Jets - Mitch Trubisky

Jets 'reportedly' love Trubisky and he falls into their lap.

4.  Buffalo Bills - DeSaun Watson/Tyrod Tailor

They don't want to pay Tyrod top QB money.  Watson 'probably' has a higher upside and comes much cheaper.  They might have to tag Ty for a year and if a Sam Bradford-type of situation arises later in training camp with another team they 'might' be able to trade him to a desperate team ALA Philly/Minny type deal.

5.  Cleveland - Mike Glennon

I think the Browns will look to next year for their QB and will stockpile extra picks for that time as they 'settle' for an inexpensive bridge QB.

6.  Arizona - ???

I don't think they will make any major moves

7.  Washington - Kirk Cousins

He will force them to tag him for a year and next year they won't be able to afford it and will let him walk.

8.  Houston - DeShone Kizer

Either Kizer or Mahomes but I think DeShone has a higher upside.

9.  KC - Mahomes

Not sure about this at all but had to plug in Mahomes somewhere.

10.  Denver - Romo

It would seem logical that this happens but FA never seems to be logical so more than likely I've botched every possible destination.

Johnny is done.

This was harder than we thought.

This looks like the winning entry unless manziel, romo and kapernick are all rostered on the correct teams by opening day!  He got 5/10 right!

Well done. Most of these were down right ugly (not that I would have done any better). Maybe awarding 2 pts in getting a rookie prediction correct and 1 for current NFL players (starters and backups) would spice this thing up.

Update:

Yellowdog current has 5 and now OSUbuckeyeman has 6.

1. If Romo comes out of retirement before opening day, that might change things.
Yellowdog - Romo to Texans
OSU - Romo to Broncos

2. If Kapernick signs somewhere before opening day, that could change things.
Yellowdog - Kapernick to 49ers
OSU - Kapernick to Jets

I've got an outside shot with my picks because I also had Cutler to the Dolphins which gives me 3 correct.  I need:
1.  Kirk Cousins to get dealt to the 49ers before opening day.  (maybe the Redskins get a huge offer)
2.  Kapernick to sign with the Cardinals.
