As a Caucasian I’ll let black people decide if they want to or not. It’s absolutely not my place.

As a non-caucasian i agree, but i believe the word only perpetuates mental enslavement for all people of color.

Listening to rap you also hear the “B-word” (female dog) a lot. I willing to bet that most people know not to use that word when addressing their wife or girlfriend or on conference calls with co-workers or clients or potential clients etc.

I think that is quite a bit different.

Unless you’re black just don’t say it. This isn’t difficult

I think if black people want to use the word they can use it. I may not like the word but they're the people who are associated with it so if they wish to take ownership of it that's not my position to obstruct.

Nope. It's a way of saying white people don't get to tell black people how they can own words designed specifically for them.

OK I'm assuming you're white. Head into an all-black community and start saying the word and let me know how that goes for you. Tell them it's just a word.

They can use it (anyone can use it) but it also a reflection of them too.

What's going to happen if someone does that?

I don't know if they should use it personally. All I'm saying is I don't believe I'm in a position to tell them if they should or not.

If they're lucky Sam Jackson will get them out of a tight spot.

Why would someone be in a tight spot because they don't believe that word should be used?

I guess anyone can use it but I have never heard an educated black person use that word..even in places that were majority black. Most have distain for the word.  Most mature adults would not use it anywhere.

When I helped coach HS football at an all black school I heard it quite a bit..but it was always in anger directed player to player in practice.

You’re not in a position to tell anybody what words they can and can’t use.

Is Kaepernick on the Yankees or working for Papa Johns now?

The Yankees were responding to the controversy over Papa John's use of the N word during a conference call about NFL players, which was discussed extensively in this thread over the last few pages: Here is what started the discussion to refresh your memory:
