One month + in the books and it's time to take notice of those players that are under the Mendoza Line.

We'll dedicate this years watch to everyone's favorite Cub who wakes up this morning with a robust .196 BA after his first 97 ABs of 2017.

He's the closest to the Mendoza Line, so likely the first to get back over it, but there are some other notable players worthy of watching too (complete list of others below)

I dont really consider Joseph notable, but much has been made of Maik Franco flirting with the Mendoza line in the early goings. He's currently at .207/.279  :X

Really surprised to see Rugy there, but after a huge first week, his BA is .160 with an OPS of .466 :X

So you got the 72 PA and 60 AB, which are his stats as of this morning, and somehow him being qualified has changed since then?

Interesting
I got the stats from baseball-reference.com and they currently have him as eligible.

Of course I wouldn't put it past me for using the interface incorrectly.

I have Hosmer, Napoli, Chris Davis, and Schwarber on one team.  This is my power/OBP quartet and they have all been ####ty to extremely ####ty in Hosmer's case.

In first place thanks to Thames, Gallo and pitching.

Story*, Bird, Sanchez*, EE* (chasing .200), Cargo*, Trumbo, Correa*, Panda

I hate this stupid hobby

Yeah I'll be #####ing about Schwarber until he shows some consistency, but I did like the 3 run jack tonight.

I dropped Napoli in my home league, he's hit or miss and although he'll heat up in the summer the skillset there is something you can make up for if you have depth.

After week 5, the list grows from 16 to 20.

Tommy Joseph has a good week and gets off the list.

New entries include: Cargo and Brad Miller (who I have on one team), Villar, Matt Joyce and Jose Reyes

Schwarbs was sooooo close to getting off of the island, but then Alrodis blew a 3 run lead in the 9th, game goes 18. Poor Schwarbs goes hitless in his 4 PAs in extras and he's back under .200

With a ####ty week at the plate, the Royals could make this list next week.

They, as a team, are hitting .208/.270/.329 :X

Another bad week for our hero Schwarb as he goes 1-18 and plummets down to .179

Austin Hedges, Cargo, JJ Hardy, Matt Joyce and Villar all climb north of Mendoza and get off the list

Todd Frazier finally qualifies and finds himself on the list along with other new comers Cameron Maybin and Joey Gallo

Weather's warming up and the BAs are going with it as this Mendoza Monday has no one new added to the list and more than a handful getting north of it.

Dansby, Brad Miller, Devon Travis, Maybin and Bautista earn their way off. Trevor Story no longer qualifies, but should be back this week enough to get back on.

Sat yesterday v a nobody LHP. Still has Matt Moore, Wood and Kershaw on the docket this week. Wouldn't be shocked if he sat against all of them
